I too love those energel pens ... so many colours AND they are water soluble. The light brown becomes a beautiful peach colour!!
i love how you play around with colours. Every colour you place in every position feels right. The harmony it creates is amazing. One person must have a lot of experience and knowledge about colour and colour theory to reach this level and I aspire to get this good at it too! As always you inspire me with every video you post.

Your work is so beautiful! I can understand how fulfilling it is for you once you complete an art session. Too often my skills disappoint me and I walk away from an art session feeling defeated. I decided to reframe my thinking and pull out an old sketchbook to compare it with the art I'm doing now. I can see the improvement which buoys my spirit and encourages me to keep practicing and continue improving. Seeing your quality art is another motivator and something I continue to strive for. What a perfect video to watch at the beginning of this beautiful day and start of a new week! Watching this video this morning made me smile this morning. Thank you Jess! What you say, what you paint, what you draw , inspires so much and this beautiful spread shows the love and passion you have inside your soul. Beautiful. I did notice thought the ease you hold your pencil with, I don't know if when I am drawing my anxiety comes into play but I am holding on to dear life to that pencil . What beautiful drawings, the mix of colors is so interesting and attractive. I love sunflowers! Did you know that they are actually an inflorescence, a group of small flowers forming the sunflower? This means that each sunflower is actually a bouquet, I love that.

Ohh wow, I collect the little tea tags with sayings too. Such a cool & great idea for doing them with a collage. I love the idea of doing a random generator for choosing the different flowers. I have seen this book 📕 you have used in another of your videos & it’s reminded me that I need to buy it for myself to use for a great reference book for drawing flowers. I love how the univers sometimes gets your moode and sends the right "signs". Me and a friend of mine who I havent seen since 10 years met accedently and we took time to grap a tea. On ouer tack was "if you meet someone you always share a story" and "two same hearts can never be apart". Well we have more contact now.

I happened upon a vintage car show where they block off the roads and the drivers line up to show off their cars. It was downtown San Jose, CA, but my first thought it would be cool to draw them, but there wasn't a good place, but I also thought, it would be cool to see you do that. :)

Spending at least a few minutes in my sketchbook every day is a habit I'm trying to develop. I started with a 50 dogs sketching challenge. So my goal is to fill a sketchbook page a day, on average, with sketches or drawings of dogs until I reach 50 dogs in total, but ideally, before the end of the month. If I'm really busy or tired a day it's okay to skip, but I'm finding myself wanting to draw at least one dog and often that turns into 3 or 4. I allow myself to switch up the media and I focus on different breeds, positions, etc so it doesn't get monotonous and I build my skills. It's a really great practice and I'm really enjoying the process. As of yesterday I've made it to 17 dogs.
