*"Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny, and he has made you his mission"* That monologue would make most actors sound corny, but Alec Baldwin performed it perfectly. Chef's kiss 🤌🏻
@CitizenoftheWorld1 hey man, if this last one is awesome too, maybe they should walk away. I'm convinced this may be the greatest action franchise of all time. I agree, I probably like 4,5 and 6 more than DR. The OG is up there for me. 2 and 3 are the ones I would watch the least, even though I enjoy those as well
Yep. And they never did Ilsa justice in the next two movies. She just turns into another one of the girls. They created the best "Bond girl" and then wasted her in the next two movies. I think Ilsa deserved better
Ilsa is basically the best "Bond girl" ever put on film. And they've never been able to duplicate the magic they created with her character in Rogue Nation. She just became one of the girls in the next movie. Her development was completely sacrificed for ANOTHER nuclear bomb threat storyline. Zzz Ilsa and Rebecca Furgeson deserved better.
This is my favorite duo on the channel. Kristen : Maybe they can breath into each others mouths for air... Michael : Science. You play very well off each other and are just so positive. You will love the next movie.
Tom pranked Simon Pegg in the driving scene at 45:40 he put a piece of black tape over the seat heating control so that he couldn't see that he had turned up the heat up on Simons seat, Simon kept complaining about how hot it was ....
I think Ilsa is probably one of the greatest character introductions to an ongoing franchise I've ever seen. Rogue Nation is my favorite spy film, not just MI film.
One of my most favorite MI films. This and the next one. Rebecca Ferguson (Ilsa Foust) has received heaps of praise for her outstanding performance and I think she's equal to Tom Cruise. She obviously spent a great deal of time training for this role. Outstanding performances from everyone. There is one concern I have. In the cemetery scene the bone doctor said there was nothing on the disk. All the data was deleted. How did the boys know it was empty if only the Prime Minister had the biometric code to open it? 🥺 Good reaction guys. Looking forward to the next review. ~Rob in California 🎁🎄
The sequence where Ethan dives underwater and holds his breath for an extended period of time was filmed in a water tank, and at one point, Cruise held his breath for six full minutes.
YES! My favorite Mission Impossible movie and Ilsa Faust is awesome. The start of this movie is insane!! "I'm ON the plane! Open the door! That's the wrong door!" ✈️😱🤣 I love that they have Swedish actors (again) and my brain was so confused when the subtitles vanished when they started speaking Swedish and I barely understood my own damn language. 😅😂
33:25 That mask shot isn't even digital. It's the old Marx Bros mirror gag. Simon Pegg and Tom's body double are on one side of an empty mirror frame, and Tom Cruise and the mask guy are on the other side, with a duplicate room on both sides.
The next one Mission Impossible Fallout where the ending is filmed here in New Zealand, the only country that would allow Tom Cruise to fly the helicopter in the Helicopter flight scenes.
4-6 are in my opinion not only the peak of this franchise (which doesn't mean the others are bad) but also the longest peak of any action franchise. It is truly impressive. Also, as a bit of background for the next one (don't worry, no actual spoilers). They started filming that movie with a script of about 10 pages. MI:6 was basically writing while it was filmed which is crazy when you actually see the movie
Loved the reaction. You guys will love the next movie as well. Mission impossible 6: Fallout. The neat thing about that movie is that in one of the scenes Tom Cruise actually jumped out of a military plane which is a halo jump. And in that movie he also injured himself running on a rooftop on set while filming. The filming locations in that one are stunning. And another fun fact is that this movie released on my 21st birthday on July 27th.Also that movie is the highest rated among the movies. Can't wait for the next one.
My favourite Mission Impossible film is this one Rogue Nation. All thanks to the introduction of Ilsa Faust. I thought her character really rejuvenated the series for me. She has great chemistry with Tom Cruise & the supporting cast + her character just had a badass storyline & awesome skills.
1:16:20 "Tom Cruise never fails to disappoint" means Tom Cruise always disappoints. You mean "Tom Cruise never disappoints" or "Tom Cruise never fails to (something positive)."
Loved this addition to the MI series, and loved this reaction just as much! I love watching reactions with this pair. Kristen and Michael just seem like amazing people to know seeing their these personalities and their reactions like this. I would love to be friends with both of these legends. However, Michael, my man! I love you, but I think you had a slip of the tongue buddy. In the wrap up, you say "Tom Cruise never fails to disappoint!" I think you might have meant either Tom Cruise never disappoints, or Tom Cruise never fails to impress. The rest of what you were saying was praise for his role in this film, so tsk tsk buddy. Everything else you say is just pure awesome, so when I heard you say that, it just shocked the hell out of me, and really stood out. Nothing but love for you my man. And Kristen, outstanding outfit, as always. Love the blue and nails. Angel as always. I love you @CinePals!
I’ve said it before, but parts 3 and 5 are my sentimental favorites. Partly because 3 had such a great villain and 5 introduces such a great villain, but I think it’s mostly because they introduced such strong female characters. Both Julia and Ilsa Faust are some of the most well-defined characters in the series. And the impact they have on rounding out Ethan’s trajectory and growth as a person is immeasurable. Plus, I just think Ilsa kicks ass, especially in this installment with her signature mounting piggyback takedowns. Visually it’s just so ridiculously cool and violently sudden.
1) "Talk to me Benji" = "Talk to me Goose". 2) The terrorist dressed as a band member / police man is just a look alike Dolph Lundgren. 3) Is not "impressive" Ilsa climbing ladders in heels. You use just the tip of your feet to climb a ladder. Heels, shoes, crocks, is the same. 4) Totally fell in love with Rebecca. 5) An Ilsa in Casablanca? "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine". 6) The guy who Benji "converts to" is Ken Watanabe, from The Last Samurai. 7) TC learn to hold his breath for 6 minutes for this movie. 8) If Rebecca Ferguson says to me "come away with me", I go. No luggage, no hesitation. What else can you ask from life?
BTW. Actually Kristen's plan might have given Ethan more time. We use very little of the oxygen we inhale. Most of it we exhale unused. 21% in 16% out.
Everyone swears by Fallout. But to me, Rogue Nation is the best Mission Impossible of them all. The characters have better development, especially the new and amazing Ilsa Faust. I finally care more about Benji and Brandt more than ever. Solomon Lane is a great and weasely villain. I love how they didnt kill Lane but trapped him instead. I also love how they busted Atley. The underwater sequence followed up the motorcycle chase are among the most consistently thrilling action scenes in the whole series.
I really liked the story in this one, exposing the deception within the government. As Ethan Hunt said, these are his friends, so there are no longer disposable agents within the IMF like in the past movies. Every Mission Impossible movie Tom Cruise makes he takes his stunts to the next level, the fact he does his own stunts makes them more exciting.
23:46 "We gonna swing to the other building": Uhm, nope. That's the side part of the oper - yes it's huge :D Also the big street Benji crosses is the Ringstraße which runs completely around the first district of Vienna. Fun fact: The Ringstraße was build on the ground which was used for the city wall.

14:07 Ethan really tried to convey that supposed dead agents are alive with Color, black and white differentiation 😂 and those CIA guys couldn’t figure it out 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

LOOVVEE that Baldwin line. The Ethan description is epic in Dead Reckoning as well. "A mind reading, shape shifting, incarnation of chaos"
@bjmombo LOL I love that one too
@@CitizenoftheWorld1 thoughts on Dead Reckoning?
@@bjmombo I liked it, but not as much as Rogue Nation and Fallout. Still excited for Final Reckoning, even though it'll likely be the last film

This movie and the next (Fallout) are great for a back to back watch. They're the best in the franchise.
… he kills it every time
They watch these movies back to back anyway, don't worry. They just post them week apart 😅
Kind of extremely late for this suggestion, and they're not the best 2.
@jkhoover FACTS! 1 and 3 are the only good ones. But really Cruise gotta quit this shiz cause the last one was sr8 dumpster juice.
@@Suremane now why we lying lol everything after 3 just keeps getting better
I just adore Ilsa. And she's the only one who can keep up with Ethan, they're a great match.
Yup, I actually thought they were going to spin her off into her own M:I. franchise.
Yep. And they never did Ilsa justice in the next two movies. She just turns into another one of the girls. They created the best "Bond girl" and then wasted her in the next two movies. I think Ilsa deserved better

the London night chase scene remind me of first mission impossible. not just the location, but the atmosphere

This is my favorite of all the Ethan Hunt Mission Impossible series. The situational comedy in "serious" situations, the dialogue, subtle physical cues, and the building of the storyline between 3 to 4 and then to this one are all things that make Rogue Nation the one I could watch over and over. All of this made this a step above the others for me, along with the insane real life stunts with relatively little CGI and mostly Tom Cruise doing his own stunts and Rebecca Ferguson doing many of hers. Casting choices are as good as it can get. For me, that's what puts this a tad bit over the gritty feel of the third one (I felt that one was the most dramatic and serious of all of them and stands out in that way, but Rogue Nation really brought out the talents of every one of the cast for me).
All except for number 2 were really solid for me. It's not that I don't like John Woo, but it was just too much of a departure from American action films with the signature John Woo traits. The spinning and "graceful" movements and that fluid and smooth movements and abundant use of slow motion are so John Woo, and for me, going back to his Chow Yun Fat movies in Hong Kong cinema, it worked because it was how they were introduced and made their mark. I guess I just feel llike M:I 2 almost feels like a standalone in that way versus the rest of the franchise.
