How to Inspect the Main Engines Scavenging, on board an LNG Carrier 🔦⚓🔝

In this episode we are going to inspect the two stroke main engines of a modern LNG Carrier.During this time it is a good opportunity to check that the cylinder liners, piston rings and all the equipment are in good order.
A good cleaning of the scavenging is to be performed in order to remove the debris from the lubricating cylinder oil.
In order to do the inspection the main it requires the spark of the engine team to perform the subject task.
