oh boy I remember my friend "loaned" his dads chipped and coilover-ed volkswagen caravelle out on the snow when he was 13 years old, he slid and curbed it really hard and drove home with 2 of the wheels reduced to a couple of spokes, shoveling through the snow like an old steam paddle boat and he exclaimed at lunch break that he was just "spinning on them twigs" hahahaha
That was extremely interesting. I can’t believe that two of the 3 wheels drove on one spoke. That’s amazing. How do you come up with such ideas? Anyway, keep ‘em coming. Love you guys.
Spoked wheels? -- It can be done, though you would need adjust the tension of the other spokes to compensate for the spokes that were cut off. If you just cut them, the wheel becomes unstable and will wobble like a MF. Edit: Actually you can see how that would pan out (without wire spokes) you see the wheel start wobbling, because it doesn't have the 2 spokes to deal with the weight; now if it were mounted on the back of the car, it could have made it a little longer. The most extreme rims for cars i have seen are 2 spokes, but they are *THICK* google " 2 spoke rims " you'll see what i am talking about.
An idea: Maybe put some really powerful magnets in the wheels, and make a cast wheel of some sort so you drive directly on the magnets. And then drive through a lot of metal parts, or on a metal surface and see how it reacts. You could also attach some metal drums/barrels to each rim and fill it up with different things like water or rocks:)

Picking that car up from the back reminds me of moving my buddies Geo Metro in high school...... to the top of a 30 foot snow bank, 4 guys on each end. The look on his face when he was walking to his car. Utterly priceless.
with that left rear, and the front left, I've seen rims like that on a French Pegueot in the 80's and the dodge viper in the 1990's when you had it cut down to 3, so I know with the right construction, they do work.
Great stuff guys! I wonder how well a rim with the end of the spokes cut would fare as an offroad "tire". Like instead of cutting out middle of spoke, just cut where it meets the tire so the tire portion comes off and you have a big spikey metal wheel gripping the ground
I've made a head gasket out of a cardboard beer case and sealant so ya It's possible and works for years a high compression engine won't work very well
