1984 I sailed to Huahine and try to get your mail if you didn't speak French with the postmaster.
He'd make you wait ignoring us.
Great surfing & I walked around half of the big island
Your video brought back great memories & hangovers!

Is English commonly spoken on Huahine? Thanks.
Actually, another question if it's alright, since you mentioned The Cook Islands: My wife and I have been to Rarotonga and thought it was the greatest place on Earth. How would you compare the Huahine experience to Rarotonga?

Thanks for the comment. Huahine definitely speaks less English than the more popular islands like Moorea and bora bora. But some people do speak English there. You can get by no problem as we don’t speak French at all, and had no issues.
Huahine is a little bit slower paced than rarotanga. We would consider it a mix between Rarotonga and aitutaki. But it’s 100 percent the same vibe. Huahine was the closest thing in the French poly that we felt to the Cook Islands. Highly recommended to make sure you go to huahine if you are in the French poly.
Hopefully that helped ! If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask. Cheers.

@@Fittwotravel Thanks for your response. What was your impression of Aitutaki? Would you recommend a visit there as well? And what would be your all time favorite palm tree lined, white sand beach, turquoise blue water tropical island?
I have looked extensively into what it would take to live permanently in the Cook Islands, and it actually is relatively do-able. In order to do it we would have to buy into an existing business or create a new business that no other Cook Islander is already doing. My wife and I left our hearts in Rarotonga when we visited in March of 2019. I'm sure you two can relate.

So far, we have found nothing that beats aitutaki! Aitutaki is definitely more relaxed, not a lot to do, so I don’t think I could live there, but definitely a week long visit was amazing! The Cook Islands is our favorite for sure! You can’t beat the water, and the people are so friendly!

At 4:39 video mark, you swim. Where is it located in the island?

Both of those locations are at the same spot. It in Fare, just a little north of the Huahine Yacht Club
