Thanks for the honest review and tips. I am glad you mentioned the airport situation. Elderly and families traveling with young children or family members who have health concerns can plan better when someone takes the time to write an honest review,. i found it to be informative , not negative. Looks like a beautiful resort.
Thank you very much for the information and congratulations on your wonderful honeymoon. My wife and I went to Moorea for our honeymoon almost 30 years ago, and will be going back to celebrate our 30th anniversary this coming December. Our time there was extremely delightful and had sunshine and perfect weather every day. This time we are going to Moorea for 5 nights and then to the Intercontinental Le Moana in Bora Bora for another 5 nights. We will definitely be on the look out for the things you pointed out, specially the airport situation. I've watched many videos by now about both islands, and yours is one I truly appreciate because it will allow us to be on the lookout and still have a great time. God Bless your marriage.
Congratulations to you both and thanks for posting something so helpful & nice to watch. Couple additions..... The Breakfast is good, but for lunch .. Bora Bora Beach Club just down the road is AMAZING and "The Lucky House" restaurant next door the resort is fantastic for dinner. When it's windy in front of the resort, Matira beach right behind it is solid glass and also the sunset spot, Top 5 beaches I've ever been on. The Reef socks are a MUST as mentioned! and thanks for clueing everyone in on the drinking water situation! I totally agree!
Thanks for the video. I'm heading there next June. FYI: United has a daytime flight [I believe daily] from San Francisco at 1:25pm, arrives PPT the same day at 6:55pm.
Congratulations & thanks for being so honest. I laughed out loud at your description of Tahiti airport. I’ve watched ALL the videos on Bora Bora & beyond talking about the hellish heat of being stuck in a line in the building, there’s nothing. After doing all this research, I personally would head for the private Air Tetiaroa terminal & fly to The Brando. Did you find the resort very busy? That seems to come up a lot; it’s by far the most touristy island in French Polynesia. Thanks again !
1:30…… “it’s very hot…..here” Sometimes but it depends when you go. It’s August so of course it touches 90 occasionally so everyone else goes earlier in the year to get cooler temperatures and nice ocean breezes. 70’s and 80’s (late august ) is much nicer than Texas right now.
What do you mean? The bathroom door is super thin and some people may not be comfortable with that. It didn’t bother my wife and I at all but I figured I should let people know.
The hotel is literally on of the “cheaper” ones on the island. If you travel Bora Bora then book the really good hotels and in terms of Intercontinental you can only book Thalasso on Bora Bora.
Good video guys !! I've never been before, hopefully one day I can go to bora bora, has been on my list for a few years now, gathering information, this was a really informative video, I appreciate that !! 1 question I have and I cannot find answers to. What is the law on smoking there? Can you smoke at the resort or lagoon? Is it forbidden? Lol I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, very curious tho
1:00……”there is no privacy unless you close the door…..we didn’t think about that”. Not off to a great start lol…..send this to me before you put it online. I would have caught that brainFart…..
Hi guys, congratulations on your marriage. Me and my wife will be heading there to le moana at the end of august, so they allow you to bring a small back pack to fit under the seat ? If so how big can the back pack be ?
Congratulation guys! The flight from Papeete to Bora Bora looks like it is around the high $300's to the low $400's if we book in advance, do you think it is a better deal to book the flight at Papeete/Tahiti airport? Thank you!
I'm no expert when comes to booking flights but my wife and I used Expedia which bundles the flights all together. The travel agent we spoke to couldn't even find us a better deal than what Expedia was offering. So I'm not too sure about booking individual flights like that. I'm sorry!
Imagine travelling to another country and expecting it to be american standards…. Jees. Go to Florida next time. This was the most negative travel vid I have ever seen. I turned off when you complained about the airport.
Sorry you feel that way. However, the majority of the comments seem to be thankful for me bringing up some of these things. We absolutely loved this trip and would do it again but the topic of this video is all about things we didn’t foresee having booked it ourselves without a travel agent.

No, the resort wasn’t busy at all. Never had to wait for anything.
The major resorts are *never* busy. They are designed to be very relaxing, so even if the resort is fully booked, it will not feel busy.
Enjoyed your video! We loved our visit to Bora Bora, especially swimming with the sharks.
Some good information to know. Heading to InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana in October. Cheers!!!
Thank you so much for this in depth and practical review! It's super helpful before my honeymoon!
Good video. Putting together info for a trip there and these are some things I will most definitely remember and be aware of. Thanks.
Ty me and my hubby have this one on our travel plans:)

Nice detail oriented content!
Didn’t think about using the bathroom door 🙄🤦🏻
What do you mean?
The bathroom door is super thin and some people may not be comfortable with that. It didn’t bother my wife and I at all but I figured I should let people know.
I was just making a joke about the comment about not thinking about using the bathroom door. 😊
Does the 💩go to the water from overwater villas?

??? I saw a bathroom door and toilet door 🤦♂️
Very informative video!

I live in Charlotte, going for my honeymoon. This video was very helpful. Thank you
Glad I could help!
I went in May and they made our food to order outside the menu and I didn't use sunscreen and was perfectly fine.
Shoes are a must Because the presence of very dangerous stonefish is possible
Solid videography. I’m giving it a like. You seem like a good guy.
Love the vid…and thank you! You covered all of my questions…just wanted to know what month did you all visit?
Thank you! We went in early June.
How deep is the water under the cabins on the water.
The water right under the bungalows sits about mid-thigh to waist height depending on the tide.
I saw jet ski’s laying down on the water at the resort. Is it for guests to take it, or do you have to book them?
I believe you have to book them as a separate excursion.
My BFF and I are going first time. Thank you soooo much for this video. Very helpful.

Not off to a great start lol…..send this to me before you put it online. I would have caught that brainFart…..
Congrats on the the marriage. What a very beautiful couple. Y'all look genuine and in love!
Thank you!
You are definately city folk
How much was your trip price, I have go to borabora in 2014 and spend around 20k.
Our total price was around 9k
I stopped watching when you guys started to complain, maybe punta cana would suit you better
Lol
Right 😂

Yes all the flights allow a personal item like a small bookbag or large purse. They list the dimensions on their website.

Can you rent a car and drive on the mountain?
Yes, you can rent a car and explore the island.
@@KendallBertaux1 thanks a lot
how deep is water from the room ?
It depends on how far out your bungalow is. Ours was only a few feet but others you could probably jump off of.
