Oh my goodness! That looks delicious! It’s 110 degrees in Texas today but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be making this when it gets cooler! Thank you both so much for your videos. They are awesome. I’ve never been disappointed with any recipe and I’ve made several. God bless you both!
Love my beef tips and gravy over noodles.
My son & I live about a block and a half apart. He works nights. I think I will surprise him with this. He says his mama is the best cook and I’m giving you and Melissa all the credit. ❤️
You are my favorite chefs. Such time saving and thrifty meals! God bless.❤️
I have actually been cooking since grade school. I am now 76 years old .
I have never used Campbell's Soup for anything except tomato soup and now I don't use can soup I make it fresh with homegrown tomatoes. Hopefully, I can find the onion soup. If I do I will make your recipe as it looks so easy & tasty. 😋
I certainly love watching your videos!
Thank you Tom and Melissa 🌷
OMG I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE SO VERY GOOD. I ADDED SMALL RED POTATOS. MUCHROOMS AND ONIONS. OUT OF THIS WORLD. THANK YOU
Hi Tom/Chris and Melissa.. I came across this video while looking for a recipe using beef tips.. I’ve never used this recipe but it sounds and looks amazing…yes, it’s on my menu for supper tonight… I’ll be sure to let you know how it turns out.. Yall are the best and don’t forget to “Put A Lid On It”…
I love how you speak slowly and succinct; it really helps me to write it down. Thank you 🙏
Thanks Tom and Melissa for all your recipes! Glad I came across your channel. Love watching you cook!
G'day from Australia 🇦🇺
I think this would've been better if the beef was browned off first, but hey, what do I know ?
I'm addicted to your channel though.
Thanks for sharing 😊
I made this for dinner tonite and my husband loved it! Wanted to post a picture of it but couldn't figure out how to do it.
looks really good! it would probably be good over a piece of toast or a halved biscuit as well. Nancy Moore, Arkansas
Thank you for this recipe Tom and Melissa. Im making this tonight. It looks so good. I love egg noodles with butter. My very German great grandmother lived with us when we were little and she used them alot. But i will let you know im making this even though its August and we have a heat advisory today. It will be 105 to 115 where i live. But that is how delicious this looks. Thank you. I love your videos.❤😊❤
My grama would have mixed those peas and carrots together and made them creamed. I miss my grandmother. She was a beautiful soul.❤😊
Love y'all & your videos!!! Thanks for sharing!!
No such thing as Cream of Onion Soup in these here parts...SO my question is, could you take French Onion Soup Mix and turn it into something semi close??
Tom and . am a 69 year old lady, and I just want to say that the more cooking videos I watch of yours, I'm impressed. I love, love the fact that you both talked about your homic teacher in high school. She taught you to add color to each meal. It saddens me that homic isn't offered in school anymore. (Or atleast around here). What a lost treasure. There are very few cooking videos that I watch. Yours is one of them. Tom does such a lovely demonstration. Thank you Tom. It must be your teaching abilities. I've babbled on long enough. So until the next time, thank you both.
Thank you, Kathy. I agree that home economics classes were a very practical part of my education. Something as simple as being able to feed yourself isn't quite so simple if you can't do it. Thank you for your encouraging words and for watching our videos. We certainly appreciate it.
You could cook a chuck or shoulder roast with these can soups or just cream of mushroom soups. Cook on low or 250 degrees for 5 hours in the oven. Thanks for sharing Tom, my husband will like your dish and the carrots.
I cant wait to try this. Im loving your channel and your personality
Thank you so much. We really appreciate your kind words.
Great over noodles
Made this tonight and we truly liked the flavor, the meat was a little over done despite the 250 deg and only 4.5 hrs. I think I’d like to try putting in onions and garlic for some additional flavoring and might have to thicken up the gravy in doing so. But great meal guys! Love your channel, Christmas was delightful due to your great recipes!
I am going to make this dish for sure and also the chocolate chip cookie! Thanks Tom & Melissa ❤️❤️
We hope you enjoy it! And we miss you guys!
I am making this tonight!
Yum, I love beef tips & noodles, rice, etc. This looks like an easy but delicious recipe.
Have you heard of Kitchen Boquet? It's a dark brown liquid that when added to sauces, gravy or soup, it adds a beautiful brown color. It only takes a tiny amoubt (maybe 1/2 tsp) but it really makes them look so appetizing. Maybe you can look online for it so you know what you're looking for. I think you'd really like it.
Thanks again for another great recipe.😊
I'm going to make this dish Tom & Melissa.
Thank you Tom for speaking so slowly & clearly.
I enjoy how you explain your recipes.
Merry Christmas Eve to you & yours.
May 2024 be all you ever hoped for.
I’m from Indiana so your recipes really appeal to me. I’ve been making tons of them and my kids devour every single one!! Can’t wait to try this one!
That is awesome! We are so glad to hear that you and your family are enjoying the recipes from our videos. Thank you so much for watching and trying them out!
I have made a similar recipe for 45 years. Your recipe is much easier and looks just as yummy. Thank you sharing the love from your table.
Love come sat at my table a home feeling
Looks great, will make this tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite recipes. And it really is quick and easy. Thank you for watching.
Melissa, I took home economics from middle school through high school and yes, learned to make all the food you make and serve with different colors 😂❤
I will try to make them...thank you!!! :))
Looks delicious 😋
In NC, we call it stew beef.
Hello there, Melissa & Tom. This recipe looks so good. Can't wait to try it. Thanks so much. ❤

Going to make this dish. I know my family will love it.
It's great because it's so simple and easy to make. We sure hope you all enjoy it.
beef tips looks delicious wish I was there at your table.
All your cooking dishes. Look delicious!!
My mom use to make this and we would eat it over toast.
I would serve over noodles with mashed potatoes on the side with green beans
Beefy Mushroom Soup is good in stew gravy and is at times difficult to find !. Cannot wait your beef tips!! God bless you for your program!!!
Looks delicious! Going to make this for sure! 😇 I would love to come and sit at your table!
Need to share where you got the bowl from when in south (Florida)
We love your stories❣️
I like it over toast I do mine in crockpot
YUM 😋
I have just finished dinner but watching your video caused me to want to "Come and join you at your table"
Superb as always. ❤
Thanks a lot 😊 We really do appreciate that you are watching our channel. This is one of our earlier videos and we had so much to learn when we were making these! We do appreciate your kind words.
Oh my...the lesson here is never under estimate a can of soup!! Lol...your recipe looks wonderful. I make a similar dish and I do use the crockpot. Hugs to you and Melissa.
Thanks so much for such a sweet comment. This is such a nice recipe and it's so, so easy! We are so glad to have you sitting at the table with us!
I think I can smell it. 😊
Would love some Crockpot recipes.
Oooh looks so delish. Was wondering if you can substitute the onion soup with French onion soup or even onion soup lipton?
I'm watching this in September of 2023. I've never heard of cream of onion soup.
Plus, why do you use the bottom oven so much? Love your program.
Loving your cooking videos. Can you freeze the leftovers. Have you ever tried that?
This whole dinner looks amazing!! This will go on my menu soon!!!!
Have you ever made this in the crockpot? If so, which method do you think is best? Oven or CP? When I make it, I’m going to do the low and slow in the oven ❤
I would go as far as serving that over toast.
I use disposable rubber gloves when handling any raw meat. I also use them when taking out the trash, cleaning my bathroom. Just those unfavorable chores and handling raw meat.
Now that's a very practical idea! Thank you so much for watching.
I'm going to make this tonight! I'm not sure if we have Cream of Onion Soup. What can I use instead of Cream of Onion soup? Love all your recipes. Do you have a cookbook?
❤
I think it's funny that Melissa made this for you. But I've heard you say she doesn't like mushrooms and celery....and this recipe has celery and mushrooms...LOL
Leftovers make a wonderful pot of vegetable beef soup!
I also made this meal last week it was very good 😊
It's been one of my favorites for a very long time. Thank you so much for watching.
So your wife and I share our dislike of celery. Is there a suggestion for the cream of celery substitute? Could 2 can of the cream of mushroom be too much mushroom. Or does the cream of celery really make the dish?
I am going to try this over tater tots😋
What a yummy idea! We hope you enjoy every bite!
Now that is pure comfort. Except garlic is missing. Lol.
2 cans of cream of mushroom and 1 can tomato soup makes a delicious gravy/sauce. It goes with beef, pork, chicken and any and all veggies .🤤
We love quick and easy combinations like that. Thank you for sharing with everyone.
Instant pot?
Hi guys
Can I brown the meat before i bake it?
Thank you for sharing
If I can't find onion soup. Can you use the Lipton onion soup mix?
Told my daughter and she goes out to the freezer and getsthe stew meat😂😂
Can you add mushrooms, or sear the meat b4 you add the soups?
You could. The beef trips are incredibly tender when prepared like we did in the video, but I think searing them would be a fine thing to do as well. Thank you so much for watching. This was one of our earliest videos. We've learned so much since then - not that we're experts now - but gosh - we really we're novices when we made this video!
What would be a good substitute for the cream of onion? Couldn’t find it anywhere!!
This is the simplest recipe I have seen. There's nothing to boiling noodles and carrots. I'll pass on the peas. I can't wait to have it!
I wonder, if you can't find the cream of onion, could you use French onion?
I can't find cream of onion soup, can I use liston onion soup mix or onion broth ?
Do you have any substitute if we can’t find the cream of onion? (No Krogers around these parts…)
Can you please suggest an alternative for the cream of onion soup? I have checked everywhere and a local store no longer carries it. I suppose I may be able to use canned french onion soup and add cream and a cornstarch slurry..... perhaps that would work?
If you are an amazon user, they carry this in single or case of 12. Kroger isn't consistent on carrying this soup. Hope this may help.
Like meatloaf, you don’t see beef tips in gravy very much in restaurants anymore.
Yum
We think this is a great recipe and it’s certainly a delicious meal.
250 degrees is equal to low in a crockpot
Yes. So you do have a couple of options for the preparation. Thanks for watching and your comment. We appreciate the feedback!
Can this recipe be used with Sirloin steak mean instead of beef tips? I have more of that in my freezer but not beef tips.
I love the image of you two sitting together at the table (not on TV trays in front of the television) AND... with a "proper" table setting!
Another option I've used: add a bunch of sliced up r aw veggies (carrots, potatoes, celery) to this mixture, and bake at 350 F for at least 3 hours. A wonderful beef stew!
We have always enjoyed sitting at the table for meals. There is just something good about sharing food around the table. Thanks for your nice comment. It really means so much to us. We are truly encouraged by our wonderful viewers. Happy Thanksgiving.
@@comesitatmytable9044 What a lovely reply! Thank you so much and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
I love the dump and go ease of this recipe for the crock pot but can’t find the cream of onion locally and online only sells it by the 12-pack. I found some recipes for homemade cream of onion soup mix just being used to actually make soup. It will take longer but might have to use that. I wonder why cream of onion is a short-supply product?
I don't know why certain products become hard to find at times. We have the same problem here in Kentucky but usually, given time, the product will reappear eventually - and then something different is hard to find.
Ok if you can't find cream of onion..what do you use..and what do you use in place of cream mushrooms..we don't like mushrooms..
Where can you buy the Campbell's Cream of Onion Soup? We have not been able to find it anywhere here in South Central Pennsylvania. We don't have a Kroger around us.
We generally shop at Wal-Mart and Kroger in our hometown, but we do like to shop at Meijer and Costco in Lexington Meijer seems to always have it.
You can also make up your own cream of soups..not hard
We've never tried that, but it's certainly something to consider in the future. Of course, the canned soup is extremely convenient and for lots of families the canned products make it possible to get a meal on the table.
Can you add veggies to this?
I think the vegetables might get mushy. We've never tried it so I can't say definitively. But I'm leaning towards no.
We are going to do a stew with beef tips and vegetables as part of our SOUPer bowl series though. I think it might actually be on Super Bowl Sunday.
Boy, cornbread would tast greasy!
Put in a crock pot, save the oven
Would be better to brown that meat in large frying pan, then add the soups..That blood mixed in with the soup looks awful!
Hello. I like the sound of this recipe. It brings a twist on beef tips with brown gravy. Not that that isn't good. It is. But using this recipe gives me a different tasting meal.
You said that cream of onion soup was hard to find. I've been thinking about that. This might be your answer. The recipe link below comes from Allrecipes. It's a recipe for "Cream of" Soup you make at home. It's a creamy base you can add anything to for its flavoring. I'm thinking that if I wanted to make a cream of onion soup I would make the base then add 1 large chopped onion that has been steamed in the microwave. I soften onions often this way. I put them in a glass measuring cup, cover it with plastic wrap leaving a tiny space over the spout open to release some steam. It only takes a few minutes on high until they are soft, very sweetly fragrant and have released some of their liquid. I'd want to liquefy those onions with that juice. An emersion blender or a regular blender would work. In fact, they are so soft you could probably mash them with a fork. Then add to the soup base. Thinking about it now I should probably do the onions first then use them as part of the liquid in the base. That would not dilute it's thickness and add the onion flavor. If ever you can't find the cream of onion soup, or don't want to go to several stores looking for it you might try this. (There are several good suggestions along with the recipe lil various uses.)
I've not used it myself but in one of the sites I follow she frequently does, with great success in the finished product.
