- BBQ Ribs - Easy Oven Baked Ribs
One rack of baby back ribs
Salt
One bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
Preheat your oven to 400°.
Remove the membrane from the back of the rack of ribs. Place the ribs on a rimmed baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Lightly salt both sides of the ribs. Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce on the bone side and place it down on your pan. Now, brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce on top of the ribs. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 30 minutes. Without opening the oven door, reduce the heat on your oven to 325° and continue baking for three hours.
Remove ribs from the oven, remove the aluminum foil, and cover the ribs with a very generous amount of barbecue sauce. Turn on the broiler element in your oven and place the ribs uncovered under the broiler for approximately 5 to 7 minutes or until the barbecue sauce is bubbling and caramelized. Serve while hot.
Made the ribs for Easter. Delicious! Fall off the bone tender. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
He is risen. He is risen indeed!
Tom, how did you know that Liz and I are making ribs tomorrow or the next day? We’ve been debating (alright, arguing 😂) on how to cook them. You successfully ended the debate and we’ve settled on your method. Thanks! ❤
Great timing! Good luck with your ribs. These were delicious and really easy to make - and clean up afterwards! We have enough leftovers for dinner after church tomorrow, too!
We have oven baked ribs with a dry rub and then serve them with bbq sauce. Either way, delicious.
Good afternoon. I love to watch your videos. Thank you for all your time and recipes
I just tried these ribs and they are everything you said they would be. This is the way I'll be fixing them from now on. I love your recipes.
We’re so happy you’ve enjoyed them. Thank you for watching!
I knew you were gonna say country ribs, my favorite, so is Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce.
I like the country ribs in the slow cooker. Lots of meat, just enough bone to get that bone marrow flavor.
A friend showed me your video of how to make ribs.
We tried it last night. I was very surprised how delicious they came out.
WOW, you nailed it!
Thank you very much for letting us in on your method.
I can’t thank you enough!!
I have the Oven Baked Ribs in My oven again today. We can hardly wait the 3 1/2 hours. I was always afraid of ribs till you did these, now I’m not. I’m so hungry for them again!! Yummmmmy!!!
Your comment has delighted us! We are so glad you are having them for a second time. They really are delicious. Thank you so much for joining us at the table.
I absolutely love your channel. I am from the south and my dad also thought sweet potatoes was a dessert.
I do them in the Instant Pot and finish under the broiler. Tender and stupendously delucious under 45 min.
Great to know. Thanks so much for watching our video. We appreciate that so much!
I will definitely be making these oven baked ribs when my son ( who by the way is stationed in Ft Campbell Kentucky) & his family come in a few weeks. I can’t wait!
Everyday you make me hungry for what you make so today I am making ribs😂
Tom , I'm so glad I was surfing and found you , my job is home care private and my client and his wife love baby back ribs and now I won't have to stand over a hot BBQ , thank you so much 😊
wow, literally fall off the bone....family loved these and so dang easy
I just fixed the ribs. My husband and I were both amazed at how tender, actually fall off the bone, they were. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤
We are so glad you made them and enjoyed them as much as we do. They are remarkably tender! Thank you so much for watching and giving us the feedback on them!
I love your wonderful recipes. I am a Kentucky neighbor of yours in London so I knew your recipes would be great. Matter of fact I have your BBQ ribs in the oven right now. Keep them coming!!
I'm usually pretty nervous with cooking ribs but I prepared these today for our dinner and they turned out beautifully. Thanking for sharing.
Thanks again for your idea. I’ll use it as an alternative meat at Thanksgiving.
I have been so afraid to make ribs for years and years. Your video and Debbie’s recipe gave me the courage to try because it was so simple. I made these ribs for my dad’s birthday dinner and he was so very pleased! My husband loved them! My three year old and 10 month old loved them 😂 Thanks so much, I will be adding these to my recipe box! Blessings on you both!
OMG I made these they’re the best ribs I have ever ate! YUM

I've been wanting ribs for a long time. I'm waiting for a sale, though. I'll be making them your way for sure 😊
I’m going to Costco asap to buy us some backribs! We love Thomas BBQ sauce but it is sometimes hard to find. Around here in NC we can buy it at Harris Teeter. Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce is good too. Thanks so much for this cooking method!! It will be my go-to from now on!
Sounds great! We are so happy to have you using the recipe. Thanks so much for watching our channel.
Oh wow, those look delicious!
I'm so glad I'm a subscriber.

It's pretty simple and definitely delicious. Thank you so much for watching our channel.
I will definitely have to try this way of making ribs. My favorite bbq sauce is Sweet Baby Ray's. This way is so easy and I like that you don't have to watch them. Thank you. Happy Mother's day Melissa. God bless you both. Love watching y'all.
Thank you so much. We enjoy this because once you’ve set the timer you don’t have to do anything else until they’re done. And clean up is simple as well! That’s a great bonus.
You both are awesome, 😎 thank you for your sharing your knowledge in fun cooking 🧑🍳
I will definitely make this! Yes, even wet ribs. But don’t hate me if I ask if you have a recipe for dry rub? Thank you & Merry Christmas!
They look very professional and delicious
Can’t wait to do these ribs. We love ribs and we always go and eat them at Cheddars but going to try your method (or Debbie Morton’s). Love your cooking channel.
That looks delicious and Thank you for posting this
We’ll be making a trip
Over to Costco to get some of these ribs and cook them your way soon. We LOVE ribs but have not enjoyed the cooking process. Your method is a huge improvement!! Thank you!
It really is pretty simple to prepare barbecue ribs this way. And it's so much neater. We hope you enjoy them soon! Have a wonderful day.
Iv made. Them in a instant pot. They were. So good. N tender.
Well I know NOW what I did wrong with mine..but mine were still very good..finger licking good. Lol. But I put mine in without the BBQ first then after they got done I put the BBQ on them and back in the oven. Mine were extremely tender as well. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Looks so gooood
I do what’s called the 3/2/1 method on my smoker.i keep the temp at 250 degrees.for 3 hours you just smoke the ribs not wrapped.for 2 hours you sauce up the ribs and wrap them up tight with foil.you don’t want any steam.for 1 hour you open up the foil and leave the ribs in the smoker.you can sauce them up for this last step.they will be falling off the bone.
Made these today. They were awesome.
I have always made mine in the oven
Thank you for sharing
Wow thats a crazy amount of bbq sauce

I fixed this recipe. They turned out great. They were falling off the bone.
Great video on a good recipe❤ Are the on waxed paper in your pan?
I remember I think when you said, where is your rack? I just started laughing because I just wanted to reach in. That TV it looks so good, I have noticed that a lot of people that do videos are teachers, I love it when a lot of people start out with the listen! My daughter
is a high school English teacher and my other daughter went to school and has a culinary degree. I started watching you guys about a month and a half ago. I also watched your French toast and I love that too. Paula Deen has a really good French toast casserole lol but I am a fan if I was your wife I would’ve had that first bite lol I give her A because she waits so patiently my husband would have had the first bite. Lol.
I love it that a lot of the dishes that you make it sweet I’m addicted to sweet things like your pimento cheese has a little sugar just things like that that I have not done looks good and yours looks delicious to. I do have a question though a lot of people would love to get started on UA-cam and really don’t know where to start. Do you think you could possibly do a video on the dues and don’ts of UA-cam and you know, and what do you know it might pay to do something like that ,what kind of camera and that kind of thing I love southern food and I love so many different UA-cam people out there and I usually go for southern Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina cooks Congratulations your videos are amazing you done a great job I give you an A sir 🙂 I live in Albany Oregon, so the peppers that you use for your meatloaf you can get here in the local stores. I’m gonna try it sometime. Thank you have a great week.
Ok... Gimmie them ribs, Y😎! 🤣
looks good and remember fingers were made before forks NL Canada
Ribs are so good.
Also Happy Mother’s Day
They were great! And we have enough leftover to eat another meal and that’s a definite perk!
Thank you for the Mother’s Day greeting! It was a very nice day!
Melissa, I ,too, eat my ribs with a fork. I try not to handle food with my bare hands (except sandwiches and chips).
I have a slab of bb-ribs and normally crock pot and broil. Since all of your recipes, I've tried, have been winners.... I'm going to try 'Debbie's Ribs' method. I'll report back ;-)
Hi Tom and Melissa! I absolutely love BBQ Ribs so I will be making them with your recipe! Thank you for sharing ❤
Hello Tom and Melissa. Love your videos and great southern style recipes. My wife and I tried the ribs today. So good and tasty. Only issue was after the 4 minutes of broiling, our parchment paper started smoking. Luckily, we caught it before the paper ignited. We are trying the baked vidalia onions tomorrow, can't wait!
Oh my goodness! We need to remind people to watch carefully when you're broiling, I guess! 😊 Thanks so much for watching and trying our recipes. We are so excited to hear that!
If I lived in your house, I would be bigger than a barn

I looked at a rack of baby back ribs yesterday, but vetoed them because I didn't want all the fuss. Wish I had seen your video first!!
Make them even better by sprinkling both sides of the rack with Montreal Steak Seasoning!
Could you tell me for making the rib method Could you use country style ribs? Would the cooking time be different?
😂😂😂that look you gave her says "God gave you fingers for ribs and fried chicken!!" 😂😂😂😂
If doing two do we bake them the same amount of time?
Did you use pork or beef ribs?
Melissa, do you cook as well or is Tom the resident chef? I like Sweet Baby Ray's too. Also like Sonny's.
Melissa Happy Mother's Day Sweet Heart ❤️🌹💐🌷🌸💮🌼🌻🏵️🌺 I Hope You Have A Wonderful Day 💜 and a Great Dinner 🤗❤️😚
Oh thank you Nene! We had a really nice day. We went to church and had leftovers for lunch. We love to cook once and eat twice - especially when we come in from someplace like church. It’s so nice to have the food already prepared.
I hope you had a wonderful day, too!

Thank you for sharing. What is the paper on the bottom of the rack? Parchment?
Pretty sure it was parchment paper
Will this recipe work with beef ribs
Hello Bill & Melissa. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix ribs if you want to fix them plain?
We've never made them without the sauce but if you prefer, use a dry rub instead to give them some flavor. Thanks so much for watching.
Can u make a pizza making video???
OMG !! I wanted to lick your fingers for you !! LOL That made my mouth water just watching you eat those wonderful ribs. I love watching you when I can. I learn so much from you. God Bless you both
Thank you, Lois! Enjoy the ribs!
I've had ribs done in the oven and they are very tender. But I miss the smoke flavor of cooking them over real wood. These will never take the place of smoke ribs on my smoker.
have you tried making barbecue sauce from scratch?
Paper doesn’t burn?
What would you serve on the side?
Salad or coleslaw
Baked potato, sweet potato, or fries
Baked beans
Mac and cheese
Potato salad
Corn on the cob
Basically, we’d pair it with any traditional cookout BBQ foods.
@@comesitatmytable9044 that all sounds so delicious!
"fall off the bone" is not for ribs, as that can be accomplished in a slow cooker or pressure cooker. ....or you can make pulled pork for that purpose.
Ribs should be tender enough that there is less resistance than if you were to eat a pork chop. You should be able to take a bite and the rest of the meat stays on the bone for each bite. So "fall off the bone" , is not a good description for properly prepared/cooked ribs.
Haaaa, DON’T use a fork!
Actually, I think there’s a law against it here in Kentucky and Tennessee.
