    Hat tip to this procedure and parts list. I just did this for my 2012 Monster 796 and everything was right on the money. I thought the euro spec guard that replaces the bracket holding the evap canister was going to be different as there are 2 braided oil lines that run down the left side of the 796, but it all fit perfectly with the parts list. Ducati of Omaha was great as well getting me all the parts in 10 days. Thanks for making this video!

    For those of us with OCD:
    I double checked all part numbers for 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 the '12 696 and '12 796 and confirmed the numbers listed in the description are accurate.
    Note: "Left Side Deflector": 484.1.069.2A (48410692A) 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘥 48410691A, the part number you will find in the parts catalogue.

    "Breather Pipe 1" (59013311A) listed in catalogue as "BREATHER PIPE," diagram item #7 found under "Fuel tank"

    Thanks for this video! Thinking of doing this on my Monster 795, I ride in Thailand and often have problems starting my bike when it's hot, maybe this could help it a little bit. Doesn't seems to do any good to keep it so might as well get rid of it lol

    My issues are mainly having to use the quick idle at every cold start regardless of outside temperature. Did this resolve that completely for you? The only time I don't have to use the quick idle lever us when the bike has been warmed up and started within the hour.

    Hi, thanks for your usefull technical contents with step by step instruction. I have 2009 Moneter 696 which I am working on right now to remove charcoal canister. Thanks for your detailed parts list, I get to almost finish to place the order, however, I am having a little bit of confusion for 'Y-Union' part. Y-Union: 616.1.022.1A (Qty. 1) this part does not exist anymore and gave me two parts list to chose from. 1)
    61610121A - SQUIRTER UNIT, and 2) 61610021A - THREE-WAYS UNION. I cannot distinguish which one is replacing the part that you listed up here. Woul you know which one should I buy? I saw that you are using all of them except for these three parts; left side deflector, breather pipe 1 and 2. What are these 3 parts that does not appear on your video? Did you cut out that part from the video? Am I missing the point? I would really appreciate for your instruction. Thank you again for your useful contents. Have a good day!!!

    • @NWLIFECYCLE
      @NWLIFECYCLE  3 роки тому +1

      Hey man. No issues so far. In fact, the bike cold starts and idles better than ever before.
      A couple years ago, I told a dealership Ducati Technician about a cold start/idle issue that was plaguing me. He told me that I should consider removing the EVAP canister. According to the technician, the canister can become gunked up over time, which makes it difficult for the tank to breathe and ultimately forces your fuel pump to work extra hard. I'm not sure if any of that is true, but I do know that my cold start issue is a thing of the past.

      Yes. I bought a used 1100 EVO and used this video as reference to see how the previous owner incorrectly performed this mod. I also ordered the EU deflector from Ducati Omaha-but wish I found this video earlier so I didn't have to find the part number myself.
