As a user of this backpack I can confirm all said in this review. I personally cut off the raincover because I use this backpack to commute to work on mountain bike and need raincover to cover also bottom side of the backpack. So I bought separate raincover and have it inside the backpack. I had to also aplly warranty two times (once the bottom strap broke, second time the side pocket had a hole in it.) both times north face gave me a new backpack. I love the size you can put a lot of stuff in there. I also love how the backpack looks for the size, its ok to wear it in the city and such. But for the price I dont know if the quality is there.
Really thorough review, so appreciate it! If you were to pull the trigger on a similar pack within the same price range, which one would you go for knowing what you know now?
I would look for a bag that has a better design of the rainfly and the pockets would have to be bigger. I want the easy access pockets on the waist belt especially to be as big as possible.

Thanks for the great review, solid points. Any recommendations for 32-35L backpacks with waist belt
