I’ve watched a whole range of your clips on UA-cam. I like your style - very inclusive, energetic and informative. I’m a ‘silver’ techie with a moderate level of understanding. You make things easy to understand, in an entertaining way. Thanks.
I wish that too, but I dont think he will review the cameras since he gets way lower attentions compare to laptops or apple product reviews. Unfortunately, cameras industries are dying and the camera companies are aim to sell their cameras to very limited people.
I originally subscribed to the channel because of the camera reviews. But making apple-related content is what the YT algorithm wants and its much easier to do.
I was going to mention that OWC Thunderbolt dock for anyone who thought the base level iMac would be too limiting. That mic looks great! I agree that sound is SO important. I can put up with a crummy UA-cam video IF the sound is good, but if the sound isn't good I won't stick around to see if the video is any good.
Adding the Apple SD Card Reader is a great choice if one is needed. Given all the complaints of the Intel iMac having the SD Card port on the back! So the missing port can be easily addressed a $40 adapter if needed and would be more accessible than if one was on the rear!
When you started to talk about transportability I got excited thinking you were about to pull out a, designed for purpose, iMac "suitcase" (someone really should make one of those!), glad I'm not the only one who thought about re-using the box though!
At first, when you started pulling out non-Apple accessories to replace the keyboard and mouse, I thought, this will be the last pre-release for Gary, then you recommended and iPad Air and AirPods Max as accessories - that may have won points back from Apple...
Always, always, always recommend just buying a NVMe SSD and a Thunderbolt enclosure compared to a pre-built external SSD. Generally better speeds can be possible not to mention you can just update the SSD whenever applicable or the enclosure whenever a faster one is necessary
That's exactly what I did. Two setups with Sabrent enclosures and Samsung 1Tb NVME cards.. I'm using those soft eyeglass sleeves from cheap readers to protect them.
I have just got one Imac M3 with 16 GB Ram, Silver and it is fantastic... just one question should the fan work all the time or? can some one check yours?
In terms of accessories for the iMac 2021, are there any recommendations for travel bags? I‘d love to not need to buy a MacBook Air. Been traveling a few times the fast few months and wondering if there was a possibility to taking my iMac 24“ with me. Thanks in advance!
In your discussion of the docks, you implied that the thunderbolt 4 dock from OWC wouldn’t work. The hub and dock work fine on the M1 Macs. I have an older OWC Thunderbolt dock which works just fine as well. As my external devices are changing, I would find the new Thunderbolt 4 dock to work better.
Good ideas, Gary. I'm planning on using 12.9" iPad Pro for that little bit more real estate, and the pencil input when needed. Will be considering use of an external mic once I've done a few tests - and my venerable old Sennheiser HD25s get a re-pimp every few years and are still the most comfortable as a wired headphone solution. Apart from that I just got a green screen and some cheap lighting to enhance the inevitable work meeting. But really, mostly using the new iPad without extra cables, dongles and docks the way the Lord Jobs intended it!
Pissed off that I bought the iMac with only 2 Thunderbolt connections. I thought getting a dock would be no problem, but for some reason most the cables on them are too short and they heat up quickly. I suppose I'll have to find an extension. I'll probably end up paying more than the next model.
First, I love your videos. Second, what did you do to get the MX Master to work on an M1 Mac? 😅 I have tried Bluetooth and the USB receiver and it still stutters so bad. I’m using all the latest software too. I replaced it with a Magic Trackpad.
Subscribed with bell. Anticipating your Silver iMac. I’m getting Silver: 512 GB SSD / 8 GB Memory / Trackpad and will continue to use old matching mouse and CD drive. Silver contrast on back makes ports easier to locate.
I just love your videos! The best tech guy on UA-cam easily! I'm desperate to get my new iMac and you just aroused my excitement to a whole new level!!
Gary, the new mic setup, although the sound is great, but you moving around throws off the momentum... im kinda fixated on it coz i, myself, is setting up my own work station, and the mic placement is yet my main challenge...😅
I'm still not convinced that 16 GB of ram is such a huge difference from what the 2020 iPad are capable of. I'm still waiting for the 16 inch mac book pro redesign
In the case of Apple devices, Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 4 are all the same thing. In terms of peripherals like docks, SSDs, and RAID storage, USB 4 just means that it's Thunderbolt 4 AND backwards compatible with USB 3.X (whereas something marketed as Thunderbolt 3/4 doesn't need to be compatible with USB 3.X). Hell, Thunderbolt 4 is literally just the 'full spec' version Thunderbolt 3, with the rebrand simply to stop confusion between the 'full spec' and 'minimum spec'.
i love my m1 imac but i hate the micro size keyboard so hard type on and the magic mouse is joke i can never get use to it no matter how hard i try i guess i am old fashion i like my trackball mouse. I might just end up going full size keyboard with touch id and i am also trying to get use to the small down size screen. I've been so use to the 27inch screen.
the issue with docks that i have is that what the mac mini and imac already have a power supply so would the power supply from the dock ruin the mac over time??
I think your thumbnail is on to something. Can you imagine a 23/24” iPad that you could have on the table flat to use for family game night, photos etc… that would be sick
Would the anker powerexpander 13 in 1 dock be a good choice? I’m very confused with how these docks work on desktop computers. They have the power that plugs into the dock and it also powers the laptop normally, but in the case of the iMac it obviously doesn’t need power though the usb c. Someone please help me I can’t seem to find an answer to that question and most of the docks are specifically designed for laptops. Luckily I have some time before my computer ships to figure it out.
If you are confused, you are in good company. There are hundreds of videos reviewing them, all with different conclusions. Also review the hundreds of docks on Amazon with thousands of reviews. It is exhausting.
My 2014 MacBook Pro is starting to give out, so I was considering an M1 iMac. My MacBook only lives on my desk. It’s kinda sad that their “all in one” solution really isn’t all in one.
Waiting for someone to come out with color matching docks that fit seamlessly on the foot. Not only with additional ports and SSD space, but maybe with wireless charging for iPhone and iWatch....

You are so right about the audio importance and it’s subconscious impact to people
Hello from Poland! Thanks for inspiration for my English spoken podcast!
I agree, 1st party dongles only! Pricey, but you know they work and work well.
Commenting on every new video until we get a camera review: day 46

@@kwm576 all I want is one review for old times sake 🥲
@@joshuaplayer7956 yeah, at least I would like to see what is in my camera bag in 2021 or something.

I bought my brother one of the MX Keys and he loves it! The typing is awesome on that thing!

A Keychron K2 V2 mechanical keyboard. You can mod it to your linking and even paint the aluminium cover plates to match the colour of your iMac.
I just ordered a green iMac and I’m so excited to get it! I’ll be switching from the Intel 16” MBP.
Just ordered a green one as well
I use the mx keys and master 3 with my Macbook Air while its on a laptop stand and it's such a great experience.
Have to admit the sky blue iPad Air as a Sidecar looks very appealing
I use the same Logitech Keyboard/mouse models (I think MX2 mouse but same layout). I love them. So comfy and the keyboard is great to type on!
I have just got one Imac M3 with 16 GB Ram, Silver and it is fantastic... just one question should the fan work all the time or? can some one check yours?
I’m loving your M1 iMac coverage! Keep up the fantastic work pumping out videos
I got mine yesterday and I love it . I got the green one .

I bought the Razer Thunderbolt dock for my 24-inch iMac. Can’t wait for that to come in!

Excellent review video!!.. even though I am not a Mac user I find this great and informative!. Lovely video, audio is great!!..
I’m not really an apple person, but I like your vids!
S21, custom built pc, an iPad gen 8. Cause goodnotes 5 is life.
Just ordered mine - soooo excited :~)
Very nice video! You're making me want a product I have absolutely no need for!
Me getting the notification
"What? Already ???🤣🤣
Hello,Love your videos!
crazy good accessories video. loving your lumiy lamp
Looks like I need to grab that Magic Mouse! I could use something more comfortable while I am editing.
Man, that gold colour looks DOPE!

Hi! Another great video! Thank you! By the way, I couldn’t get the name of the 3rd-party mic you showed us near the end. Rhodes?
Make a video on m1 iPad Pro vs m1 MacBook Air
I would recommend geting USB-C to Micro-B cable(s) for any older USB-Micro B external drives. Wife loves her green Air Pod Max headphones.
Two thumbs up for MX Keys! New idea for video: Your current settings for MX Keys and MX Master 3 on Mac
Can we use the trackpad and Magic Mouse both simultaneously ?
I think so

Hi can tell me where you bought that microphone for what you was talking about
Loving the content. Keep them coming
hi. I'm waiting for your opinion on the m1 iMac vs Mac mini m1. especially guide to choose ram and SSD for editing video for both of them. thanks!

First like bro and I am from chennai
this channel should be named everyday apple pro
So, what about speakers? I don't wanna have a 3.5 jack on side and USB C speakers not that popular )
true , i transported my silver imac , for about 300+ kilometres in the box itself!
is this machine able to connect to two external monitors?
I think your thumbnail is on to something. Can you imagine a 23/24” iPad that you could have on the table flat to use for family game night, photos etc… that would be sick
Where is the M1 i pad review ?
On Mars
Lol 😂
Just curios how to install a VESA adapter on this one...
From what I understand you can get the stand model OR the vesa. I’m sure it can hacked though!
Yessssssss accessory time

ps4 joypad is good too? or have problem with bluetooth?
Does the Imac need to be plugged in always or is that cable just for charging ?
I’m going to use my iPad Pro 12.9 as a tablet with my Apple Pencil with my iMac to edit in Affinity Photo, Luminar AI and Da Vinci Resolve.
Are we getting an iPad Pro on field?
May I know the mic 🎙 model ??
How did you lease an iMac for 2 years? From who?
but the sticker on the front mate please! 🙌🏼
Watching this anyways even though I may never own this computer at least not yet…
One UA-camr did say that touch id won't work with an older Mac with an Intel processor, can you confirm, please?
This is true because the Chip that controls the encryption is not on the Intel versions of the Mac currently.
May I ask about your microphone setup? What is it and what stand is it mounted to?
1:19 you called it the iMac Pro. 😂
Literally recycling content all day u go man!
Yes i got that keyboard also but ... what would be the point if ur not gonna use the biometric scanner??????.... hmmmmm.....
They finally bring out a colour range and you bought silver ?!?
Good sir, you have earned yourself a subscription. I love your videos!
Probably the dbrand skins. The white bezels still bother me.
Dang, I thought I was slick. Haha
Hey man, I like your videos but I must say I miss your camera reviews and when you used to say back to the studio. 🥺
The orange of the imac looks like apple jacks
i think this is the only product where apple has given all the components within its product !!!
what you mean a couple of days? what do you know?
When is personal iMac turns up (he's currently using the one Apple sent him for review)
1:19 its not the iMac Pro lol

1:18 Did he just say “iMac Pro”? New iMac Pro leaked?!
Apple is surely going to make a $500 dockststion im sure 😅🤣
Is it a iMac or a iMac Pro
Imac
How did you borrow that iMac on Apple? Are you working in Apple? 🤔
PS5 controllers have like 250 hours before they break, the analog sticks drift after a set amount of hours
I miss the videos without the microphone.
Anyone having trouble with M1 Macs not waking up the external powered docks?
wait. did he just say these m1 macs don't have thunderbolt 4 ports and they are only thunderbolt 3? surely thats wrong
That’s correct they are Thunderbolt 3 - USB 4 not Thunderbolt 4
I got one the like the key board the mouse sucks big time.
Put a sticker on the chin!
HE SAID iMac Pro LOL
I thought we agreed that mac isn't for gaming🤷♂️
Fuck gaming .
