This was the girl John saw dancing in John Wick 3 when he visits the Ruska Roma. Initially the actress who performed the dance in JW3 was supposed to be in this movie as the Ballerina but later they gave it to Ana De Armas. So yes, her character is the same one from JW3 which is what you see the JW3 scene from her perspective in the trailer as she notices John walking down the stairs with the Ruska Roma boss lady.
And for this reason, the events of the movie are set between JW3 and JW4.
No, Its not the same person, the girl dancing was Runnie or something like that, and Ana is Eve, u can see Runnie and Eve in the stairs looking at John.
@gheo1660 yes this is correct. I think originally she was to portray Rooney from JW3 as you said but following all the post production edits and rewrites, they scrapped the plan and introduced a completely new original character.

Lance Reddick was a part of principle phitography for this movie back in 2022. Apparently the film takes place either during John Wick 3 or in between 3 & 4. I believe they added more action to the movie through reshoots.😊

Filming started during John Wick Chapter 3. But the project was delayed. I took awhile as they were also still in talks with Ana. There were also reshoots needed. This movie is years in the making.
