I was wondering why my motion pro throttle tube offered no difference.. you're the first person I've seen to actually measure all the throttle tubes. You have convinced me to buy the R6 throttle tube.. and I must say, it actually makes a huge difference! Thanks for time and efforts to help everyone out
Considering this for myself. For just regular commuting and stop and go traffic, would you say it makes it too twitchy? I'd like less rotation, but I'm worried about it making it a little jerky with all the torque

Carried out this mod with the Motion Pro 01-1303 throttle tube, that has reduced throttle angle to about 60-70 degrees. Great mod makes blipping on the downshift a breeze. Small screwdriver under grip and some WD40 working round with the screwdriver had the std grip off easy with no damage. Cleaned up in washing up bowl and dried and pushed on the the new twist grip tube no problem without any other glue, hairspray or alcohol. Usefull video.
I wanted to do the motion pro, but someone said the inner diameter of the tube is a bit larger and they could feel the extra space in between the tube and the handlebars. Like it was sloppy
I made my own throttle tube. Epoxy glued a thick ziptie to the outside of the surface to make the diameter bigger. Then i softened the ends to make it less "jumpy". Worked a treat and only cost me 1 ziptie and some glue

I can also vouch for the R6 throttle tube, and adjusting the freeplay to 0. It just feels sooo much better than stock.
Put your grips in warm water. The rubber is going to be verry soft and it just slides on. Then let it cool down. verry easy and you have the time to adjust the oriantation.
heated grips still recomment to use gleu.

In defense of Motion Pro I bought their throttle tube 01-1303 and the cable wheel diameter is 40.58mm when I fit this to my '21 XSR700 it will significantly reduce the throttle oppetating angle and only cost £14.98.

I own a 2019 r3 and just recently installed a r6 throttle tube. It still has the same 90 degree travel like the factory r3 throttle. Is there anything i did wrong?
Hmm, did you buy the OEM R6 throttle tube or the cheaper motion pro? As seen in this vid motion pro barely makes any difference.

Do not remove the throttle freeplay. Just do not.
He did not totally, as you saw he done it correctly, adjust and check at full lock each end. If the revs start to creep at full lock, re-adjust.
Funny how people love quoting rules but don't know why. As said, if there's no pulling on the throttle body then it's fine.
