We made a metallic & pearl white video this year, ua-cam.com/video/imx09Ofr0LQ/v-deo.html. Essentially, apply over 6001 AutoBorne Sealer White. For best application, apply 2 medium coats, then a drop-coat, as shown in this video, ua-cam.com/video/6720i3rUvpY/v-deo.html. Thank you.
Very cool! The cosmics 1:1 ratio, is that 1:1 cosmic/teal candy? And then after 6:1 clear/with candy and all the colors? Or 6:1 clear/candy added by 1 part of each cosmic to the 6:1 clear/candy? And as large as the candy is, are all the cosmics as well in ml? :)
The mix ratios aren't exacting, however, we'd recommend more 4050 than candy2o in the mix, 4050 6:1 candy2o / pearl (1:1) mix. Each Cosmic Sparkle is the same, sub-micron sized, 8-side pearl-flake. Thank you.
@@CreatexColors Thanks a lot for the reply and info! I'm going to try it out! Love the createx products tho! :-) I'm designing and airbrushing helmets (mostly for karting drivers now) since a while, and I'm really amazed about the quality! :-D You're video's are very helpfull as well to learn more about the products :-D
If you substituted the cosmic gold/green/blue mix with the hotrod sparkle line would it have roughly the same hue but with a larger effect? Thanks, these videos are always amazing!!!!🍻
Yes, same hue essentially, just with the larger effect of the larger sized Hot Rod Sparkle pearl-flake compared with the small flake-size of the Cosmic Sparkle. Thank you.
so you can do graphic or design, off of the base color, black or gold or Blue green... and spray that color shift on top and and be finished with the job?
Yes, a color shift can, and is often, applied over a black base, or can also work over a darker base that’s color-keyed with the color-shift. Make a few test panels to see how different base colors work with a particular color-shift. Thank you.
Ive always loved the grabber orange candy. Id love to see some of that featured in a video. Keep the videos coming i look forward to your next "Demonstration" video. Also im trying to king a black color the shines bronze. Any idea of how to get that with out making the black look like brown mud?
Try mixing candy2o 4664 Black with 4523 Cosmic Copper, along with 4050 UVLS Clear, and apply over 6002 AutoBorne Sealer Black. A variety of mix ratios could work, something like 4050 4: 1 candy2o Black : 1 Cosmic Copper. Thank you.
Exactly the color im thinking of as well... glad i read through the comments, will spray test this weekend. Thanks to createx for great products and these amazing videos!🍻
Looking good , were can I get the flake colors because where I get the paint at the hobby supply they don't carry that they only carry the translucent paint curls wicked colors and the O2 candy colors
The flake colors are our Cosmic Sparkle Colors, part of our Auto Air Colors line. For Cosmic Sparkle Colors, please visit any one of the online dealers available on our website's dealer page, createxcolors.com/dealers.html. Thank you.
Good afternoon, please could you tell me if you have a flexible paint that can be used outdoors (I want to paint a fiberglass fish rod I have learned a lot from you, thank you I am a new person inairbrush and I would like to use your products well see you soon I hope and have the time to answer my question because I am afraid that if I don't use the correct paint I will crack my work
Createx paints are flexible. For an exterior paintjob onto a fiberglass fishing rod, start with AutoBorne Sealer, then apply Wicked Colors. Please review and follow the steps set forth in our application guide, storage.googleapis.com/createx-tech/pdf/app-guides/2021-Createx-Hard-Surface-Automotive-App-Guide.pdf, and email us at techsupport@createxcolors.com for further assistance. Thank you.
@@CreatexColors Thank you very much last night I started to use your paintings and they are great despite being the first time I use an areograph I look super good
Chris, how to do a candy maroon? I need to do some school stuff for my daughter and can't seem to get the color right.... Brandywine, candy black, blood red, blue, yellow, etc... would love to see you hit a few shades of candy maroon. I'll keep checking! I've learned A LOT from watching your videos - keep 'em up! thanks.
Could you if you have the time, shoot 2 different candy colors both metal flake bases because im building a 62 impala lowrider so the flake needs to really pop but the colors im looking at are not candy paints but if you know of any candys that would come really close that would be awesome but one color is the candy teal/turquoise or as close to a factory 62 impala color called twilight turquoise and the other color is a color i seen on porsches and ford gt’s but its called Miami blue!!! Lmk thanks
candy2o 4666 Tealiscous may work, and can be tinted with 4657 Caribe Blue to make it more blue-shade. 4657 Caribe Blue may also be close to the Miami Blue, which can be made closer to Mimi Blue by mixing Caribe Blue with Wicked W028 Fluorescent Blue, same as done in our Candy Pink video, ua-cam.com/video/DZ9abknPwO4/v-deo.html. Apply over Wicked Metallic White. Adjust the Caribe Blue - Fluorescent Blue mix to allow for more of the meta flake finish you wish. Make a few test panels experimenting with different mix ratios to dial in your color. Thank you.
Pricing may vary per shop, definitely get more than one bid. A professional, complete paintjob on a Roadking should be between $3,500 - $8,000. Thank you.
How many oz of the base color's. And candy02 would i need to do graphics on a 66 impala trunk, hood ,and roof . Main color will be teal mystique.3 colors with the candy tealicious on top
Our application guide has material recommendations, available at www.creatextech.com. About one quart sprayable should be enough, but as we're not seeing the actual graphic, etc., a test panel is highly recommended to determine the amount needed. Thank you.
Looks good guys. In the future videos, it could be more helpful for everyone to see the process of mixing the color - from start to finish. 6 to 1 (Metalic Gold...color key base with auto borne sealer / with a little process blue, a little white and process yellow.. and then black) Yes, I understand that those are the base colors that you are painting on - - Then ... ' midcoat / candy pearl coat / pearl flake from Cosmic Sparkle line / tealisious / 6 to 1 / 4050 / and one part Cosmic Gold and one part Cosmic blue and one part Cosmic Green... For the experienced out there - sure.. No problem.. but for your new customers (which I assume you are trying to reach with these videos) I would suggest slowing down, actually filming and walking everyone thru all of your mixing steps, not just the painting process. - I'm sure you have mixing videos out there also, but understand that many people will stumble upon single videos only and not go thru your entire catalog of videos. Regardless - your production quality if high - wound and lighting are really good. Keep up the good work on product development - you guys have done an amazing job these past 10 years or so.
OK, we'll make a few base-coat videos, with mixing colors depicted; starting with one for silver and one gold. The candy mix ratios are n a few videos, including the UVLS Clears Intro and How-to Paint Candy - Candy Apple videos. Thank you.
Looks very nice. I have an Oldsmobile in factory teal, would be nice to see it repainted with the black base coat ...
That looks incredible over the black....wow!
thanks!
Oooo teal my favorite color! Your right it's under rated.
We've got another teal video planned soon, love Tealiscous! Thak you.

Amazing Chris. What would the mix ration be for a Air Brush?
The mix ratio is the same, just add more 4011 Reducer, perhaps as much as 20% - 25% per volume. Thank you.
