Love your videos and colors. I had this idea to use a rich rose gold base coat with a cosmic style sparkle consisting of more gold and silver flakes, and finish with a blood red candy color over that.
Can you mix candy together with basecoat at the same time I bought a candy concentrate 100 ml of Cobalt blue it hasn't come yet but it doesn't have the flakes in the concentrate. I wanted to use a midnight purple basecoat so do I just spray the basecoat midnight purple first then mix the candy concentrate cobalt with my clear I have high solids clear so was gonna mix the candy concentrate with that for cobalt blue I still would like to see how it would turn out on a color chart though to see how the color would turn out I never used candy paint before.
For how-to mix candy2o colors, please watch ua-cam.com/video/Rz8xjK-5Ebw/v-deo.html. candy2o may also be directly mixed with Wicked Colors pearl & metallic colors. Thank you. ua-cam.com/video/Rz8xjK-5Ebw/v-deo.html
Let me say this... Createx line of paints is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ...! I'm having so much fun mixing colors/pearls etc to airbrush my models with... My latest color mix had everyone in 3 different model building forms drooling lol🤪... I used pearl lime, pearl green, silver, balancing clear & reducer... I top coated with one coat gloss lacquer so far... wet sanding tomarrow then hopefully one more coat & done...! My next model will be a 55 chevy hot rod in a two tone... Top will be pearl white, bottom will be either a pearl electric blue of I can figure out how to actually mix it or a funky magenta... Any tips? I wish someone other than hobby lobby had createx paints locally since their display is lacking alot... I'm the kind of guy that will buy complete "sets" persey of all the Pearl's, all the Candys, all the base colors etc... Any hoot thanks for all the how to vids & GREAT products..!
Would this color be somewhat close to a candy copper? Want to do a copper color on my 66 fleetwood but at the same time i want to do something different than the normal candy copper and i love the color.
Try a few test panels, experimenting with mixing Wicked W443 Cosmic Sparkle Copper with Dirt Track Brown, perhaps over a base of either 6013 Silver Sealer or new Wicked W359 Metallic Charcoal, thanks. wickedairbrushcolors.com/pearl-flakes
Please refer to the tech data sheet for candy2o, www.candy2o.com. When top-coating candy2o, or colors mixed with candy2o, with a 2k, solvent-based, urethane clear, use of 4040 Bleed Checker is not required. 4040 is for use as an inter-coat to protect candy2o from leaching into top-coated colors. The 2k clear has the same effect as 4040 in that both prevent the dyes from leaching. Thank you.
Awesome demonstration. Ive been unable to paint for a bit im still working on that anime welding hood. Thank coronavirus ive been quarantine from all of my painting equipment can't wait for this to be over

So you don't have to use the bleed checker?
