I was first draped as a Dark Autumn, but I felt the lady was off I could see my skin looking better in the soft one, but all she could see was my eyes and hair. I've always felt overwhelmed by the deepest shades, so I redid it with another one and got Soft Autumn instead, what makes way more sense for me. It's hard as a non white person to find a person that just looks at the reaction of the drapes on our skin as it is
Loved this video! I think you nailed it specially with the test at the end wich confirmed me as a Dark Autumn. I think many of us navigate between two or more seasons that's why all the confusion, I personally wear colors from soft autumn, spring, dark autumn and dark winter frequently. I would love to see how to create a cohesive palette specially with the neutrals Wich are the ones that put all the colors together. I found that my light neutr colors are better when I chose them from the Autumn Palette but the dark colors don't have enough depth, I borrow them from the winter palette. Is hard to do a cohesive palette as I said.
Maybe it would be fun to explain how I build my custom palettes because that is defintely it, not everyone is a "pure type" and we can borrow colors from different seasons. Love Mexico!! Beautiful place Hi to my fellow latina:) (I think haha, correct me if I'm wrong)
Dark Autumn here. I was typed as DA then Dark Winter in an online DIY site (submitted diff pics = diff results). I prefer DA since the bright winter hues don't look good on me (and I'm warm). Thank you for your vids, Micah! Btw, how would you classify Tessa Thompson and Zoe Kravitz? Thanks!
@@cocoastyling thank you! I'm stoked that you answered my comment. I'm a SE Asian woman and I find your vids interesting. My skintone is similar to Tessa Thompson or Priyanka Chopra's, I think. Cheers! 👍🏼💐
Hello Micah! I'm looking at your chart under family and cousin types and they seem to be the same as the seasonal grouping, which is a bit confusing to me. I'm a fairly new subscriber to the channel so i am not sure if it was intentional or if i'm missing previous context when it comes to the grouping. Thank you for the videos, they've been very helpful to me so far. 🙂
No worries! Now that you mention out it can look like it😂 You have to read it horizontally For example, the first one, Clear Spring Family type - Light Spring Sister type- Clear Winter Voiding type- Dark Autumn Now, in the last column you see both autumns because we started with springs. Springs and autumns are cousins And winter and summers are cousins as well because they share the same temperature (cool or warm) Hope this helped:)
Love your content! I'm pretty sure I'm a dark autumn with my natural hair colour (dark brown with yellow undertone, small dark eyes, and hair) but I currently have a honey blonde balayage so I sort of feel in between soft and dark autumn now?

Hi to my fellow latina:) (I think haha, correct me if I'm wrong)
I am a dark autumn, but they are my least favorite colors. I look good in them, but they are so boring.
too real
Same, I enjoy wearing bright colours or pastel colours. 😅
I used to think I was dark autumn but now, I'm struggling to figure out if if I'm soft autumn or soft summer.
This video is amazing, somehow it felt a little like a science class.

I used Zoe as an example on the Soft Summer video.
I'll add Tessa to my examples list
Thanks for the suggstion:)

I have olive undertones and dark autumn
So now am I dark soft autumn or muted dark autumn? Confused again😂
I think I'm a soft autumn🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ they are my worst types of colours
