Hi everyone! I’ve created a pinterest @mikaelacarrizo where I have my ‘closet’ inspiration and will be creating outfit inspiration boards for each season! I will keep adding to each board every time I see something appropriate for a specific season, hope you enjoy!
Back in the day when there were a simple 4 seasons, I was simply an autumn but yet looked terrible in light autumn colors. Thankfully people have teased out more detail so now my deep autumn makes perfect sense
Yessss I'm muted and warm but true autumn looks too bright and light autumn is too light and looks really odd. One of my best colours is olive but olive from the light autumn is awful on me but dark olive is the perfect colour on me. Yet people like to say you can wear all the colours in your season. Not for me .
My undertone is more neutral and that always confused me with these color seasons. This makes a lot of sense. My hair leans more warm and in summer both my skin and hair get even warmer. I have pale skin with dark hair and eyes. I like wearing true black tho, but I enjoy a more edgy look. I used to hate brown, but I've been embracing them more recently
You can typically borrow some colors from the sister palettes (such as black from dark winter). I am also neutral leaning more into warm (warm neutral). So silver does not make me look sickly and green, but gold is slightly more flattering on me.
Wow that literally blew my mind. I’ve always wondered why so many trendy clothes and colours just look terrible on me and this is 100% it! It’s not that my body is weird or that my face isn’t pretty enough, it’s just that a lot of trends will never work for me no matter how much I like them on other people - I’m looking at you cottagecore.. The monochrome thing actually made my brain explode though. I had never considered contrast as an element when outfit planning but it’s definitely the common thread in all my go to outfits now that I think about it and the main reason why matchy matchy sets look so off on me. I cannot thank you enough for putting this out there!
I love this comment! I had more or less the same experience with seasonal color theory. I sometimes wear monochrome because I love the aesthetic and break that rule, but I try to add some contrast somewhere with accesories, lipstick etc haha.
Yep, I'm dark autumn, this video confirms it. It's actually curious that the colors and finishes in makeup and jewelry that I intutively think flatter me are actually supported by image science.
So I was torn between dark winter and dark autumn but as soon as she said if you are an autumn hilighter is a big no might settle it for me. Highlighter looks AMAZING on me it's my absolute best most flattering and favorite makeup item! I always get compliments whenever I apply even a tad bit in the corners of my eyes On a flip side, bronzer does make me look sickly and unwell
Depending on the lighting, I’m either a dark autumn or a dark winter or somewhere in between. I’m pale af but my face, neck, and torso are warm-ish (due to years of unprotected sun exposure in my childhood probably) but my forearms and legs are pale white and definitely cool tone. This is hard 😵💫
it doesnt matter that much anyways because your palette stays more or less the same due to the dark aspect of your colouring. i get really pale in winter and wear a lot of deep winter colours and they suit me just fine, in summer when my skin gets goldish i could never pull that off. so its just a matter of picking your favs within the deep cool and warm range. the colours i wear are drastically different in summer and winter
This video helped me so much! I’ve always worn pastel colors and wondered why I never felt all the way out together. I’ve started wearing these darker colors and can absolutely see the difference!
Being a dark autumn myself, I am so glad someone posted this. Are you author of thecomceptwardrobe blog? The blog has really helped me understand my colour depth.
No Im not! But I do read their blog/ have their book 📖 and it’s one of my fav resources for color theory. I take a lot of the wording from them because they just explain it in english way better than I do. I also read Carolina Aubele’s book on color theory and personal image and have done her course and another image consultant course in Argentina - the teachers name is Soledad Valenti. They both offer online courses too but in spanish. They helped me a lot and it took some time for me to actually notice and train my eye to see color properly and notice which ones flatter someones skin more. There’s a few people online that have great blogs and videos too and I love watching case study videos, they made me learn a lot.
Ive just decided i am a late November 😂😂 I look equally good in crisp white and cream, look good in black and lavender but awful in emerald greens.....but warmer olives look great. I can also do medium and deep browns, all shades of red except tomato. Neither silver nor gold looks better. They're just equal. I've never been able to figure myself out lol. My best advice at this point is to try and notice when people compliment you and what you're wearing. For me it was surprisingly deep cherry reds but also a slightly warm lavender.
Thank you so much for the comment about shimmer in makeup. I finally worked this out by trial and error years ago when highlighter was all the rage and the Springs and Summers were basically covering their faces in glitter. Same thing with lipgloss. It seems nothing looks worse on an Autumn than sheer, glittery lip gloss. I find I definitely gravitate to ultra matte lipstick.
I always think that white makes me look darker and uneven skin color on my face look more visible. Off-white or anything that is not pure white work best for me. Also dark brown somehow makes my skin glow. I thought it's because my skin are too dark for pastel color (color I like) but I think I might be Deep Autumn since the characteristic also match 🙈
I probably am a dark autumn, but mostly only wear all black outfits but always with lots of golden jewellery and I found that to be flattering for me. I cannot at all wear clear whites though and banned all whites from my wardrobe, only beiges and light brown left.
Neutral undertones are either green or gray. Warm undertones are orange, orange red, red, and yellow,. Neutral warm is a mixture of some cool undertones AND warm undertones, but still warm all the same, it is slightly yellow, but not fully yellow. Neutral warm means slightly warm, or slightly yellow.
I finally got a color analysis done and was shocked that I’m a dark autumn! I always thought I was a winter due to having grey eyes and such pale skin. Turns out my skin is actually neutral/neutral warm. My dark grey eyes and dark hair make my contrast my most noticeable trait. I still love to wear black because I love an edgy look and sit close enough to neutral to make it work, but I’m leaning into more deep, muted greens and browns now. I also switched up my makeup and it looks so much better now! Brown mascara has literally changed my entire look for the better. Love content like this! I have so much to learn about my true color season. 🍂🍂🍂
So happy I found you!! I’m mexican and trying to build my closet. I’m struggling to identify me clearly either in the dark autumn or dark winter category. I think might depend if I have a tan or not. Hope you make more videos🌸✨💕
I'm in the same situation! I know jewel tones and black and white look good on me, so I tend to think I'm a winter, but yellows and oranges look great on me too. It's really difficult. I look terrible in mid browns and turquoise 🤷🏻♀️
Same Problem, I am pale in winter and tanned in summer. I naturally gravitate towards dark autumn colours but when I look at the pictures I’m never as warm as the models there.
If white makes you look pale u are dark autumn , if it makes ur skin glow u r dark winter(u can click Ur pictures and see results sometimes just looking into mirror doesn't help). it worked for me I hope it works for u too...!🙂
I’m a dark autumn! Yay! Don’t be fooled by my picture, my hair is a warm medium brown! I’m naturally drawn to all of these colors and they make up most of wardrobe, jewelry, and makeup already! The only think I would disagree with, for me personally, is that I do look good in highlighter, but it’s not an intense highlight, I look good in black, BUT it’s not my choice of color, and I do prefer a mix between dewy and matte when it comes to make-up, but I also prefer to look like my skin is just radiant and Healthy and prefer the minimal makeup look. Loved the video!
@@dianaben18 Have you figure it out yet? Cause if not: Try finding two shades of the same warm color (preferably orange or red, but any warm color should work) one that's muted vs one that's brighter. Try taking picture of your face (without any makeup) right besides the colors and try to see which one makes you look "more alive" (less tired, in other words lol); if you have trouble noticing which one makes you look better, try asking friends or family that you trust. If you find that the brighter color enhances your beauty way more, you are more likely a bright spring; if, on the other hand, the muted color makes you look better, or both of them _really_ have the same effect on you, you are most likely a deep autumn. If you are still doubting try the same thing but now with a soft shade of a warm color vs a deep/darker shade. If you are a deep autumn the deep color will make you shine; if in contrast the softer color looks as good or maybe even better than the deep color then you are most likely not a deep autumn.
Yay, great summary of Dark Autumn from theconceptwardrobe which I love! The only part that doesn't work for me is, as a Kibbe Romantic I need lots of sparkle and shine, so I don't use contour just maybe a little bit of bronzer. I LOVE a natural looking highlighter. But everything else said here has helped me choose my best colors! :)
I'm also a Kibbe Romantic but believe me that sparkle a and shine aren't that necessary. You can easiy take advantage of the sparkle gold jewlery make. Put more focus on the shape of your clothes rather than how shiny it is. That's how I've been doing it and as far as I've gone, it works perfect for me Also, cottagecore is not impossible, you just gotta match your color pallette and your kbt
I do both! I'm a Deep Autumn with brown skin & black hair - I contour a little around the eyes & cheekbones to help my highlighted cheeks & eyelids pop! The warmth of the shiny gold eyeshadow & blush ties in great with gold jewellery - even if I'm wearing dark matte clothing (though let's be real, I usually have some satin or silky fabrics *somewhere* in my look - even if it's just a sheer scarf or clean leather bag, lol).
OMG I’m so grateful for this video. I’ve been scrolling videos and reading articles about color analysis for days, but this video is exactly what I need to confidently decide which season I am. Thank you a lot 🤩
I stumbled upon your channel, and fell in love with your content. You have the most comprehensive and clear explanation of colour seasons I’ve heard! I think my sister is a dark autumn, and now that I think about it, whenever she’s worn highlighter, it doesn’t fit her, somehow it just looks... off. Whereas a dark lipstick really makes her shine, I think I’ll be talking to her about a face-framing contour! You’ve gained a sub!
This was the easiest find - your - season video I've seen yet! I have struggled for years to find a place to fit in as a lot of colors don't look good on me ( can't wear pink orange peach brown or red lip color & eye shadow pretty much has to be brown / earthy & I don't do rose gold or gold toned jewelry well unless it's 2 tone or brushed metal or hammered HOWEVER the color palette shown in this video is basically what does look good on me - again thanks for making it easy.
Wow, I have seen videos claiming to be the ultimate and easy guide and be pure clickbait, this video deffinetly deserves that title, everything I needed to know was explain in an easy and clear way. Thank You
Hi Mikaela! I'm so glad I followed up with this video after watching the "Complete 12 Season Color Analysis" video. I am most definitely a dark autumn and you provided the best information possible for me. I am in the process of decluttering my closet and "shopping my closet." I'm also trying to actually be stylish, for the first time in my life. I'm going to have so much fun experimenting and I cannot thank you enough for this video. You are absolutely right that it is near impossible to find a foundation or concealer that matches. It's fine because our skin is gorgeous, so it's an even trade. Mille grazie!
I came across your channel today and it literally changed my life, I never understood colour analysis or thought it was too difficult to comprehend. I'm a deep autumn and I'm going into corporate soon, I wanted to invest in good pieces but didn't know where to start. Thank you so much Mikaela❤️❤️
Love this! It’s cool to see that I’ve been naturally gravitating towards these colors and tones for years, while some other colors look terrible on me. Now I know why! Thanks
It’s important to state that coloring is on a spectrum. Someone can be in a particular palette, but lean warmer or cooler. I have very dark hair and very light skin. I can wear most of the DA colors but not the greens. I do better with emerald green and some of the Spring greens. So I’m more neutral than neutral warm. So I can wear the warmer DW colors but not the True Autumn colors. Someone who reads a bit warmer could borrow from TA. It’s important to recognize that the color seasons are guides, not rules.
7:18 Now it finally makes sense why movies with low light with a deep autumn color palette when a character wears a lot of shine especially on the face it looks "weird" it's because it gives a icy finnish to the skin but when the movie has a bright cool color palette the characters look great with dewy skin
WOW! It finally all clicked for me. This is one of the single most helpful style videos I've ever seen. I've been confused about my coloring for a while. I always thought I was a dark winter because I have high contrast with dark hair and light skin, I look good in dark blues, greens, and purples, and I look very unhealthy in most shades of yellow. But over time I noticed the dark winter pallet was weighing me down and I felt like I disappeared under it. I also noticed I liked the way I looked in brown, peach, orange, and even bronze, and that my undertones were subtly warmer than I originally thought. But most of the autumn and spring pallets seemed too golden and low contrast for me. Now I'm pretty sure I'm a dark autumn and am going to have fun playing with these colors and textures. Thank you so much!
I was on the fence on whether of not I was a dark autumn until I watched this video. It's crazy all the suggestions you said I've always naturally gravitated too and all the makeup tips you said the avoid I've always wondered why it didn't look good on me
This is extremely helpful info! You cleared up a lot of questions for me and now I know why I can’t seem to make certain colors (especially white) work for me because the shade is cool instead of warm. Thanks for this! 🌺
Okay!!! So I’ve just found out I’m a dark autumn - it’s like everything makes sense now! I have dyed black hair and thought I was a dark winter for years. Until I was told to go with whatever your natural colour is. I’ve struggled for years to make glowy skin, lipgloss & a cool palette work but none of it worked. I feel seen 😂
I think the high contrast color in outfits idea just saved my style 😅 ive been falling into monochromatic outfits on accident and wondering why they arent working for me/like you said in the video, making me look dull! Thank you!
Hi Mikaela! Thank you for posting! I knew I was an Autumn, but I struggled with make-up and those colors that are warm, but still wash me out. I always stayed away from rusts and mustards, but after watching the video, I bought a few key pieces, and they help. I am 4'11", so monochromatic outfits lengthen me, but don't do much for bringing out my coloring. Accessories in those lighter colors are helping balance that petite dressing vs. accentuating color dilemma. Your video also helped me understand why some "Autumn" colors were still not my best and how make-up could accentuate my coloring by going with understated eyes and bolder lips. Definitely an example of "less is more" and when I tried it, it amazingly works ! Thank you, my beautiful sister!
Hi Alison! Wow!! This made me so happy! I’m so glad you tried it and it worked for you. Thank you so much for sharing your experience you made my day :)
Love this! But feel the opposite about a few things. (the monochrome and shadows/shimmer comments - perhaps flipped with winter?) Think highlight in natural colors is very important for autumns and that shimmery eye makeup is the key to not looking flat and grey. And that monochrome in rich colors is the most flattering... But that could just be my opinion!
I can’t wait for you to do a warm autumn video! I am a dark autumn, but I believe I still carry the ability to trend towards true autumn. Everything in this video was well suited for me until I got to the make up. I look much better and more alive in true autumn make up than I do in dark autumn. Dark autumn can give me a seductiveness, but it tends to be too heavy for me. Even though I have very dark brown hair, I have medium green/hazel eyes and bright skin that are overshadowed by too much darkness. For example, I don’t relate to the darkest colors in the dark autumn palette, just like I don’t relate to the lightest colors of the true autumn palette. However, I successfully pull off everything between a “dark” true autumn and a “light” dark autumn. Does that make sense to anyone? Lol.
This is me exactly! I’m technically dark autumn, but when I saw the palette for true autumn makeup, I instinctively knew those looked more natural and “glowier” on me. I *can* wear the darker, richer makeup colors of dark autumn, but that would be if I wanted a more dramatic, smoky look. Another weird thing is I can and do wear black all the time, which is supposed to be something only a dark autumn (vs soft and true autumn) can do.
DA & TA can borrow colors from each other's palettes, because they're sister seasons. I think for the clothes, it wouldn't be too much of a difference as long as you choose warm, muted colors. When buying clothes in shops, drape them on you to see the effect on your face. As for makeup, do/ use what you feel best, IMO. :-)
For dark autumns looking for a new statement lipstick, black moon cosmetics has one called Elm Street that really fits the bill of warm, deep, and matte!
Such a great and informative video! I'm a dark autumn and it's always funny looking at color analysis videos because I figured a lot of this out just by trial and error. It's nice to know I was onto something. I resonate with pretty much everything you said. After watching, I'm happy to know that there are more colors in my color palette that aren't jewel tones.
I’m dark autumn but thinking is copper hair going to look good or will wash me out. I have never coloured my hair and my hair is naturally brown with some golden highlights. Will that ruin my hair or should I try that because I have not seen any deep autumn with copper hair color.
Although this shade is beautiful, it has taken a LONG time for me to come to terms with it. I LOVE bright colors and spring tones, so not having them makes me sad ......but. Quite frankly, my makeup has NEVER looked better 🤣
I have been labeled as both Dark Autumn and Dark winter by different apps. i am Hella confused. I have light medium skin tone with dark eyes and hair. My skin undertone is neutral. Both silver and gold look good on me. Now, I am just trying to take inspiration from both dark winter and autumn color palettes for trail and error.
I cant thank you enough! this video is everything i needed 😍 short and sweet, straight to the point and very organized thank you so much for putting the time and effort this is extremely useful ♥️
I feel like I'm either Bright Spring or Dark Autum, and since I make effort to avoid tanning by wear sunscreen daily, sometimes Dark Winter. I have a hard time with the differences. I have hazel eyes and dark medium brown hair that reads black when I try to assess my chroma in black & white.
This video was so helpful! I’ve watched so many videos to try to figure out if I am a deep autumn or a deep winter. I am a deep autumn abs the NW foundation shade and jewellery tips really helped me figure it out. Thank you!!
Hi. Try to drape yourself in 2 diff types of red: a dark wine red vs a bright tomato red. Also orange: rust/ terracotta vs bright orange. If the bright versions look too overpowering on you (the eyes go to the cloth, not your face), then you're probably not a bright spring. (But yes, bright springs can have dark hair & eyes.)
I used to think that i look good in orange-y colors like orange, peach, etc. but it all changed when my relative gave me a dark mauve (like the madder brown bronzer color in ur vid) eyeshadow. I was being skeptic about it and was ready to throw it away bc it looked "dirty" until i tested in and it looked pretty on me, which, to me, didn't make sense because i was so confident that i am an light orange/yellow asian girl (like koreans, japanese ppl, chinese ppl, etc.). Turns out i was darker. I found out that i am a dark autumn. I always want to be and think that i am a dark winter. Growing up, i always looked at my grandma's dark autumn wardrobe and makeup palette. She always wears brown or basic neutral colors. Tbh i thought that her obsession with brown stuffs was weird bc i thought that owning only certain colors is boring. But as i grow older, i realised that people have their own color palette. Dark winter girls are sexier imho.
Hi. If you're east Asian, I suggest to watch the draping vids of Hyeri Vlog (DA) and the recent one by Darcie (DA), also the one by Xixiplease (spring). There are lots of Korean draping/ color analysis vids. You can drape yourself - go to a Goodwill or discount store and if you don't have the colors. Good luck!
Omg, this all makes so much sense! I 100% think I am a dark autumn after watching your video walking through all the seasons. Something that clicked for me was when you were going over the makeup portion, 10:01 I usually always get compliments on myself when I make my eyes or lips the focus. I use a strong highlighter, and sometimes I have gotten compliments on that too, but that still is usually when I also tan my skin and keep my eyebrows dark to some degree (which seems to look better on me, as well.)
After i watched the dark winter, i was not convinced that i had that color season since after i turned my picture to black and white, i didnt have that high contrast. After watchin this, i think i am actually dark autumn. I even compared different colors and i looked better with autumn
dark autumn ultra high contrast my hair is naturally jet black. i tend to look better in bright white because it matches my contrast. this also explains why wearing black and white and monochrome make me look sickly.
I am always confused, I have always thought I was a winter, but I am neutral/warm undertone. So maybe I am a dark autumn?... Warmer colors suit me too..And thanks to your videos I have discovered it. My hair naturally has golden and red tones which are stronger in summer.
Hi Mikaela, do you have suggestions for grey haired ladies? some colors from the dark autumn palette don't work for me anymore. Thank you so much for the great video and explanations!
Awesome video. Can you give some more ideas for non-caucasian people. For example I'm latina, but I'm also dark skin kind of yellowish, so it's really hard to know where do I fit. Thanks for your content!
@claudia - you may want to watch the draping vid of Jannat Ara. She's of Indian heritage & was typed to be dark autumn. If you're more of a dark latina, your coloring may be similar to hers.
I always thought I was a winter, because my natural hair is dark, eyes are blue, and natural skin tone is pale and neutral. I look terrible in jewel tones and cool tone lipsticks make me look clownish. Warm brick reds look great on me, and rich, earthy colours in general. Good thing I always ignored the winter palette.
This is wonderful thankyou! Really explains why I sometimes look okay in black and other times not so much aha - was wondering if anyone knew the lipstick at 10:04? It’s beautiful ! X
Yes finally I figured it out with the help of your video I'm a Dark Autumn 😅. So funny how I'm attracted to most of the most in my chart and one of the colors u mentioned is my birth stone 😄 this is like the 5 video I've watched of yours and I stumbled across your channel. Good work 👏🏼 I'm loving your content!
This is so hardddd! I was originally tryinng to figure out if I was a bright spring or a dark autumn. Though I can pull off bright spring colors, I am certain now that I am not light enough to be a spring. I am warm, light based on skin but medium based off of eyes… maybe dark based on hair. My natural hair color is a very dark brown. My eyes are a mixture of hazel and true green, but they are dark and not easily visible until up close or in the sun. I think I'm somewhere in between true/warm autumn and dark/deep autumn. Leaning towards warm, because I always get compliments when I'm wearing that color pattern. But I personally think I look best in the color palette for either. Also, I'm pretty sure my primary trait is warm and my secondary is dark (warm autumn), rather than the other way around (deep autumn).
Hi, have you considered soft autumn? It's the softest/ lightest palette in the autumn season. From your description, it seems like you may be a true or soft autumn (since you're not dark enough for DA).
@@kitty_s23456 Hi Kitty! Since I posted this, I've actually realized that I am somewhat in between dark autumn and true autumn. I pull off the darker side of true autumn and the lighter side of dark autumn very well. And small differences (slightly tanner skin, slightly lighter hair, seasonal weather) can tip me towards one side or the other! I think in my most bare and natural state, I am a mild dark autumn... but give me a tan and some highlights, I think I could fool the eyes into thinking I'm a true autumn pretty well.
@@mandyads great! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Thnx for getting back. I'm also a TA or DA. I did the test on Colorwise me and it gave either DA or DW (diff pics used). I think the website classifies by default, anyone who haa dark hair & features as DA or DW. I tried draping myself : black vs brown, fuschia vs orange. For sure, I'm watm toned, so I can't be a winter. My contrast is medium, so I think I'm more of TA. I think as long as you (we) wear autumn colors, that willl be OK. Cheers to the autumn palette! 🍁☘️
Hi, thank you so much for the video! It helped a lot! I just got a little bit confused when you said that black doesn't look good in dark autumns, especially bc the test from your previous video was a perfect match, but people always tells me that I look very good in black...Now I don't know if this is a exception or I got the wrong season :/
Black is not the worst color for dark autumns, it also will depend on your level of contrast. If you have really really dark eyes and hair then black will probably look good on you. But a pure dark autumn it will look off. The seasonal chart is more of a spectrum, not everyone fits perfectly into their season and sometimes move slightly between their sister seasons :)
@@MikaelaCarrizo Ah that explains it for me too. I'm South Asian so eyes that are almost black and black hair. Black looks really good on my as long as I expose enough skin for contrast. So no high necks or long sleeves.
Hi everyone! I’ve created a pinterest @mikaelacarrizo where I have my ‘closet’ inspiration and will be creating outfit inspiration boards for each season! I will keep adding to each board every time I see something appropriate for a specific season, hope you enjoy!
What do you mean when you say leave your lips in the background for a natural look.
Cant find u in pinterest

Thanks for the tips though.😃
Back in the day when there were a simple 4 seasons, I was simply an autumn but yet looked terrible in light autumn colors. Thankfully people have teased out more detail so now my deep autumn makes perfect sense
you have no idea how i relate to that😅 …
So me !!
Me in muted moss green and muted browns from light Autumn looking sickly and washed out🥲 But they're warm! Lol
Yessss I'm muted and warm but true autumn looks too bright and light autumn is too light and looks really odd. One of my best colours is olive but olive from the light autumn is awful on me but dark olive is the perfect colour on me. Yet people like to say you can wear all the colours in your season. Not for me .
I can't give up black 🖤
I just do not wear all black or black near my face.
Maybe you are a dark winter?
You can typically borrow some colors from the sister palettes (such as black from dark winter). I am also neutral leaning more into warm (warm neutral). So silver does not make me look sickly and green, but gold is slightly more flattering on me.
That's how i feel
Wow that literally blew my mind. I’ve always wondered why so many trendy clothes and colours just look terrible on me and this is 100% it! You're giving me flashbacks to when nude lips and that one dusty blush pink color was everywhere.

Agreed
Depending on the lighting, I’m either a dark autumn or a dark winter or somewhere in between. I’m pale af but my face, neck, and torso are warm-ish (due to years of unprotected sun exposure in my childhood probably) but my forearms and legs are pale white and definitely cool tone. This is hard 😵💫
You can have pale white skin and be warm or you can have a olive skin (it looks warm but it's actually a cool undertone mimicking a "warm" undertone)
A good way to get a sense of if youre warm or cool is looking at your veins on your wrists. Blue veins means cool, green means neutral or warm

Being a dark autumn myself, I am so glad someone posted this. Are you author of thecomceptwardrobe blog? The blog has really helped me understand my colour depth.
No Im not! But I do read their blog/ have their book 📖 and it’s one of my fav resources for color theory. I also read Carolina Aubele’s book on color theory and personal image and have done her course and another image consultant course in Argentina - the teachers name is Soledad Valenti. Sometimes think that I am a Dark Winter and sometimes think that I am a Dark Autumm, i'm not sure! Thank you so much for this Great videos
You might just be very in between! Borrow from both seasons the colors that suit you best :)
@@MikaelaCarrizo thank you so much! I love your contenido!
Use A.I
@@dmn4747you sound like a deep autumn to me
Thank you so much for the comment about shimmer in makeup.
Thank you!! I'm glad you got a color consultation, they help so much
So happy I found you!! I’m mexican and trying to build my closet. I’m struggling to identify me clearly either in the dark autumn or dark winter category. I think might depend if I have a tan or not. Hope you make more videos🌸✨💕
thank you! making more videos as often as possible :)
If white makes you look pale u are dark autumn , if it makes ur skin glow u r dark winter(u can click Ur pictures and see results sometimes just looking into mirror doesn't help). it worked for me I hope it works for u too...!🙂
@@zahidwahla6161 I agree with you on this. I am a dark autumn and although i do wear white, I look way better in a rich cream!
I thought I was dark autumn but now I realize I’m bright spring. Can’t wait to see a video on bright spring! 🌹
im stuck between these two I can't figure it outtt
@@blackcat6374 thank you! i’ll try this :)
@@dianaben18 ♡ Hope it helps
That's how I've been doing it and as far as I've gone, it works perfect for me
Also, cottagecore is not impossible, you just gotta match your color pallette and your kbt
One of the best videos I have seen. Your detailed notes are very much appreciated. ❤
Thank you soooo much
same here!!
The only source I could say more fit in my tone. Use the same pallet for make up, time for change for hair and outfit. Thank you
Dewy skin actually looks better with brightness and warmth. Bright + cool suits frosted or glittery finishes best
Thank you!
9:18 now i finally understand why black eyeliner looks so bad on me.
Waiting for the soft autumn video, these are so good. It's the most clear breakdown of the color seasons I found 🙌🏻
This video was so helpful! I finally know with about 95% certainty that I’m a dark autumn, lol. Thank you!
Girl, honestly, this video is excellent, thanks for all the information. Love it!
That was amazing thank you. I would love a video on autumn hair colors for people who are looking to choose the right hair dye. Thank you
I can’t wait for you to do a warm autumn video!
This was the most helpful video I’ve seen surrounding this topic! And the examples just gave me a clearer vision of what I was, thanks!
I’m dark autumn but thinking is copper hair going to look good or will wash me out. I have never coloured my hair and my hair is naturally brown with some golden highlights. Will that ruin my hair or should I try that because I have not seen any deep autumn with copper hair color.
10:05 AAHH THAT'S WHY! that's why i was wondering why any highlighter i use never looks good on me. makes sense now.
I think I'm a deep autumn but I tend to look better with silver jewelery for white gold. I think gold tends to clash with me.
Dear Mikaela I think I have finally found my season. Thanks for such comprehensive videos. All the best
Please make a video about nail polish types and colors that are perfect for dark autumn
I was so fucking confused as gold looks stunning on me so does brown and black. Now it all makes sense
Hi. You may want to watch the draping vid of Jannat Ara. She's of Indian heritage and was typed to be DA. (I'm guessing based on your name.)
Although this shade is beautiful, it has taken a LONG time for me to come to terms with it. I LOVE bright colors and spring tones, so not having them makes me sad ......but. Quite frankly, my makeup has NEVER looked better 🤣
Same!!!! I’m a dark autumn but I love bright colors and pastels. But they don’t flatter me. 😢
Don’t forget about amber in the jewelry category!
Thank you so much! This video is just exceptional and covers everything. I’m cleaning out my makeup drawer now!
This is one of the best videos on this topic I've seen
Such quality content! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 💛
I cant thank you enough! this video is everything i needed 😍 short and sweet, straight to the point and very organized thank you so much for putting the time and effort this is extremely useful ♥️
Thank you! ❤️
Hi. BS is warm, DW is cool undertone. Try draping: fuschia vs orange, black vs warm brown.
This video was so helpful! I’ve watched so many videos to try to figure out if I am a deep autumn or a deep winter. I am a deep autumn abs the NW foundation shade and jewellery tips really helped me figure it out. Thank you!!
I cant helo but subscribe to your channel. Thank you soo much for these videos.
Is there any chance you can review Dark Autumn vs. Bright Spring for Dark hair/Dark Eyed warm undertones individuals?
Good luck!
Thank you so much. I love your channel. I love how precise and patient you are
Omg, this all makes so much sense!
Thank you so much! Waiting for a soft autumn analysis ❤️
You actually want to use cooler contrasting colors for warm eyes to make them stand out.
Best video I found so fast. Thank you, this helped me so much 🎉
So happy you have a dark-autumn video!!
OmO thank you so much for this and the pinterest. You're an outfit saver 😅
Holy cow this was absolutely ahhmazing! 💓🙏🏽 Absolutely helpful.
I am always confused, I have always thought I was a winter, but I am neutral/warm undertone. So maybe I am a dark autumn?... Warmer colors suit me too..And thanks to your videos I have discovered it. My hair naturally has golden and red tones which are stronger in summer.
Thank you!!! This helped me to finally figure mine out
Hi Mikaela, do you have suggestions for grey haired ladies? some colors from the dark autumn palette don't work for me anymore. Thank you so much for the great video and explanations!
Awesome video. Can you give some more ideas for non-caucasian people. For example I'm latina, but I'm also dark skin kind of yellowish, so it's really hard to know where do I fit. Thanks for your content!
Great idea! I'm from south america :)
@claudia - you may want to watch the draping vid of Jannat Ara. She's of Indian heritage & was typed to be dark autumn. If you're more of a dark latina, your coloring may be similar to hers.
This is the first good and complete video on this I ever watched. Subscribed :) and thank you!
Yep! Highlighter is a no go as a deep autumn!! 😬 I really tried it, years ago and I thought I wasn’t applying it right but nope, it’s just not for me
true! i look really weird with glossy lips and i prefer to keeo them matt. also i look amazing with dark lipstick
Thank you! I needed this.
This is wonderful thankyou! Really explains why I sometimes look okay in black and other times not so much aha - was wondering if anyone knew the lipstick at 10:04? It’s beautiful ! X
Thank you this video was so helpful! 🧡
Fabulous advice, I’m going to try darker lipsticks from now on ☺️
Yes finally I figured it out with the help of your video I'm a Dark Autumn 😅. So funny how I'm attracted to most of the most in my chart and one of the colors u mentioned is my birth stone 😄 this is like the 5 video I've watched of yours and I stumbled across your channel. Good work 👏🏼 I'm loving your content!
Thank you
Very comprehensive, thank you!
@@kitty_s23456 Yes! You're right. I loveeee the autumn palette through and through, so no complaints here.
That's really helpful thank you soooo much
Wow loving all the tips, tricks and advice. Just got into the Color Analysis stuff and bonus this video was released on my birthday!
This is so informative and helpful. Now that I know I’m Dark Autumn from your previous video, this video is very much needed. Thanks so much, Mikaela!
You are so welcome!
I'm hoping for soft autumn and the other seasons please?
Thank you so much for this! 🙌🏽❤️
Can you please add a chart with coloured women?
Hi, if you're a POC & darker, you can check out Cocoa Styling.
We need a true autumn break down! I’m either true or dark autumn
