The most useful seven and a half minutes I've spent on UA-cam this week. I had never heard of the Platypod, which is like a dream invention for me, and all the other techniques demonstrated really help fire the imagination. Very generous, thank you! - Dave

Cooooooool. Thanks for explaining the method and the reasoning that went into each step. That really helps me imagine how to use the techniques in other ways. 👍

Suggest me the best camera (nikon/canon) for landscape photography (budget friendly)

I think the Canon R5 is incredible but it is not budget friendly.

"This toaster was 20 bucks. " You have expensive equipment and destroying something you paid 20 dollars for is nothing. That's far above minimum hourly wage. Do giveaways if 20 is anything, Mr. privedge.

Unfortunately if you are going to make interesting videos it will take some money. 20 dollars is a very low starting point. If you enjoy anything that Hollywood makes them you are privileged to watch interesting film where they Destroy millions of dollars of stuff. I have shot these types of shots as a commercial director since the 90’s. It is the way it is done.

It's the cost of doing business! I make short commercials for small business' and I have to get creative to make the video something that people will watch. There are times that I spend way more the $20 to create the look I need. Great video JP! Keep them coming.

I had the same thoughts. While watching these videos, although they are alright, I cannot help but notice that they are clearly made for those who have a ton of money, privilege and a bunch of assistants waiting on speed dial. They are not inclusive.
What depresses me is most videos seem to be along the lines of:
"It's really easy and I'm going to show you!"
*proceeds to demonstrate using 10k+ worth of lights, a model and up to six assistants at one time*
I think realistically if those who are watching are already this established and have total access to these things, they should already know how to do the things shown in the video...
I'm semi-professional and published, but I'm a loner. I work on projects myself because I enjoy it, it's easier to manage and I believe people should be paid for their assistance and time. Currently I barely afford basic living expenses because of long-term health issues. "This toaster was 20 bucks." Yep. It's not inclusive.
I disagree with Slanted Lens' statement here. There are clever people out there who DIY from whatever they already own without spending extra money because they have no option to throw money away, even $20 extra to create a second of video, and they still create very interesting videos. "It is the way it is done." feels like an icky, uncreative statement.
