This is a great example of how to develop a solo. And what an extraordinary solo it is. Tone to the bone combined with beautifully wicked lines makes Guthrie Trapp one of the greatest.
I watched Don play many, many times with many great guitar players but in my opinion, Guthrie was the best. Yes, better than Johnny, Red, JD, Daniel all of them. He could and can play anything and everything. That dude is spectacular!
awesome Ill be honest the first few minutes were boring with zero energy...but after the 4 minute mark I was blown away,,,,one of the greatest solos I ever heard
i hear alot of an eric johnson in his tone! a fantastic guitar player!!! brilliant fraising!!! but i think i would take jd simo instead. he just puts more energy into it!
No surprise that Guthrie had it going on even back then! Stellar! Superb! Amazing! Inspire!
... Guthrie's one of the few guitarists that I just never get tired of ....he's so tasteful...

Unreal. Peak of his powers even 15 years ago.

I felt that way the first 40 or 50 times I heard it, but after 90 to 100 I'm feeling differently.
amazing solo by Trapp..
That has to be one of the greatest live guitar solos bar none! Better than Glen Campbell and Roy Clark's version and that's saying alot!
Unbelievable.
excellent playing
Anybody seen my jaw? It dropped clean off, and now I can't find it.
Found it. But dammit, now I just lost mine :-)
