I wish I could explain how happy this video made me when I saw the thumbnail and read the title. Got to catch one of their sets a few months ago. They are all just incredibly talented musicians and great showmen. This is the epitome of *chef’s kiss*
These amazing musicians are the unsung heroes of Nashville music. I was blessed to work in their presence as well as many of those in their company who, in my opinion, blow the musical socks off those who accompany mainstream artists ❤. Respect to all , but these guy's/girls do what they love for pennies.
I was just in Nashville a couple weeks back. Seeing Kelly’s Hero’s was truly a gift. In the break I had to check Luke’s gear out being the geeky gear fan I am. He was so gracious with his time and information, great guy!!!! He managed to have huge, thick open tone with a small amount of gear.
When I'm in Nashville, Roberts is the first and only bar I go to. And I'm not a country music guy. But the music there is just awesome. Long time coming this interview.
Exactly the same for me regarding Robert’s. I’m not a country guy but if there was a Robert’s in my town I’d be country all the way. Great venue, great band, great city.
Very Cool! Thanks for showcasing smaller bands as well, for me seeing gear from bar bands and smaller acts is where I learn the most about my own set up.
I love catching these guys about once a month or so. Their sound in the room is perfect, this video does no justice. Perfect place to bring someone who wants a taste of real Nashville.
These guys are all incredible! Been watching them for years as my first stop when I have musician friends in town. And so much respect to Luke. I mean the sounds he gets from one (very modest) OD pedal into an amp. So good to see young guys playing like this. He's the real deal!
I’m from Texas and visited Nashville to watch these guys. To be able to play four hour sets 3-4 times a week, week after week, with the incredible energy and enthusiasm they have is truly amazing. The fact that they are all highly skilled and talented musicians is icing on the cake. And they are all very friendly, to boot. I wish them all the best and can’t wait to see them again in a few months!
What a great surprise to come across this video! I lived in Nashville for 10 years and played in the bars up and down Broadway. This place is the best. If you're heading to Nashville.. make sure to put Robert's on your list of places to go. Great talent.. you won't regret it!
My wife and I saw them in January 2023. A childhood friend of my wife's owns Roberts. We were blown away by this band!! The musicianship and energy were unlike anything I'd ever seen! Met Luke before the show. He's a pretty chill guy, but hand him a guitar...Lord...get ready for some fireworks! Glad to see them getting this exposure!
I visited nashville for work a few years ago. The boys and I walked the strip in the evenings. We stumbled into Robert’s and I loved the music and venue. There’s something about the position of the stage in the front that makes it. I’ve wanted to return ever since.
This feels like it was filmed on a lunch break. The PG crew walked in for a lunch beer and said, "hey we can get the camera here quick, right? I got an idea." This is awesome to see working musician's getting some attention. Gigs like this are cutting teeth. Good for them.
Flew down to Robert’s Western World last Friday to see Kelley’s Heroes (and a show at the Ryman Saturday night). Discovered this band through Ask Zac. I was most impressed. Very entertaining.
I was in Nashville last summer and went down to the cesspool of Broadway for one reason only. To see Luke play in Kelley’s Heroes. Much to my dismay and bitter disappointment Luke wasn’t there that weekend. The replacement guy, sorry I didn’t catch his name, was damn good but I was there to see Luke. I’m gonna try it again this summer. Thanks for doing a Rig Rundown on these guys. Fantastic musicians!
You tend not to see "house bands" in the UK. This was probably my favourite rundown. The guys were so real, humble and down to earth, and to play 4 hour sets? Wow...
yeah, this country- rock blows the doors off the rest of the genre(s). these guys astound me everytime i hear them. they need a weekly live-stream on youtube, that would spread the word very quickly...they might even have to tour! take this to the U.K.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you won't be disappointed...
Greatness. We have an old tavern called Adair’s, that looks just like Robert’s. It’s in Deep Ellum (Dallas,TX) and I’ve been going there for C&W music and that awesome overall vibe, for nearly 40 years. There are pictures of the original owner, Louis Adair, in the walls with Elvis, Willie, Merle, etc. she was such a nice and super cool old lady; back in the late 80s she drive a Porsche 928 and it was always parked right next to the back door. I love the fact places like these still exist. Greatness.
If y’all are searching for new rig rundowns, gotta start doing country bands, there’s so many bands I tour around with here in Texas that have the craziest rigs, matchless, benson, etccccc
Let start out by saying Kelly’s Heroes sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see them. The bass player said something about passing around a tip bucket, please tell me these guys are getting paid by the venue for this.

I was walking down the street and I heard them playing and walked in. What an amazing night.

I've seen these guys and they're phenomenal. Real hard working musicians at the top of their game.
I remember being young and playing through the pain. How quickly we forget that resilience is a gift.
My favorite place in Nashville for the past 20 years! Luke is a beast!
Words are insufficient to express my admiration of Kelley’s Heroes. Thank you, PG, for another stellar rig rundown
Finally a bass player rig rundown again. I miss the bassist!! Bring the back!

Place is an absolute treasure.
Robert's is one my favorite places on earth. Saw Luke there few months back. Monster player.
Honky-tonk country ..this is the best! The is something special. Nice feature. Essentially, the music is being played with no effects.
Very Cool! Thanks for showcasing smaller bands as well, for me seeing gear from bar bands and smaller acts is where I learn the most about my own set up.

Joe Fick is my idol, I already played upright bass but when I saw him he inspired my playing so much.
I hope to visit this October and see Kelly’s Heroes!

Saw these guys last weekend and holy hell they blew my mind!!!
I love this group!
Thank you for that 🙏
Spending a night at Robert’s and seeing Don Kelley’s band 9 years ago is one of my best (and loudest 😅) memories!

That bass looks like soooo much fun to play.
Great video! I had the joy of seeing them play in 2022. We walked in for a beer in the afternoon and ended up staying until the end of the show.
this tera melos and deerhoof have been the ones i wanted the most in the last few years
thank you premier
Love the Hero's! Awesome!

"I'll get the musicians, you get the drummer" HA! That's harsh John
You can like the showmanship or not, but these dudes can play for real. So I’m gonna enjoy them doing their thing!!! Serious badness

Love these guys!! Thanks for interviewing them 👏👏
I would travel to Nashville JUST to see these guys. Wow!
Absolutely phenomenal!!!
Love it!!!
What a great group of guys.
That whole video just made me smile man.
Holy hell Luke!!! 🤘🔥🙌
Holy shit those guys rock
WOW!
Bollinger does the best Rig Rundowns by far. Let him do all of them!!!
Killer rendition of Amos Moses! I love Luke's Roy Buchannon fashion vibe too
Robert's is just the best.
When I get to Nashville, I am definitely going to see these guys play.
I’m just ready to see John Bolinghers rig rundown. I always see his videos playing at laylas and his tone is KILLER. Let’s make it happen!
Can't wait to get to Roberts again, heading there in about 3 weeks. These guys are incredible. Luke is a Telemaster!

Wow. This is incredible, first, what a band. Second, the fact that you guys covered them is awesome!
Not much of a rig to run down. Just loads of chops. Loved it thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Some of the few remaining honky tonk heroes. 🤠

takin' us out with Jerry Reed, nice!
i used to go see the dempsey's play in memphis YEARS ago. he is an absolute showman.
Another great video as per 💯✌️🏴

Great RR ! This guy is a guitar monster, but very humble too.
Love Roberts!! HIstoric and great players!!
19:08 dude singing over them bass lines is extreme!
Love these cats!....Massive tone and talents......I'm suddenly craving a fried bologna sandwich and bag of potato chips......
Recession special
What song is played at the end? 18:45
A cover of Jerry Reed’s “Amos Moses.”
Got to tip the hat to Luke's Roy Buchannon look. Big shoes to fill but he's on his way and killin' it on that Thinline.
.
I thought that - Roy always looked super cool. Rock it Luke !!
What a great idea. Thank you
👌 great band. The boys are old souls for sure. If I ever make it down to Nashville I’m hitting up Robert’s Western World. 🤘
They are just so, so, so damn good. Get to Robert's, buy your buddies some longnecks, tip the staff well, and enjoy the show!!!
Now THIS is cool!!
Never heard of these guys but I they definitely sound cool, that guitar playing at the beginning was so fucking cool
Luke is the best live guitar player I’ve ever heard
Let start out by saying Kelly’s Heroes sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see them. The bass player said something about passing around a tip bucket, please tell me these guys are getting paid by the venue for this.
i for one would have liked a drum rundown in addition to this amazingness.
We did it! Its over here on the sister channel!
@@drumrundown thx!!!
Does anybody know what the name of the song they played at the end is?
What is his neck pickup? It sounds so good
What is the name of the song they play at the end? Is that an original or a cover? If cover, by whom? Thx!
It’s a cover of “Amos Moses” originally mastered by Jerry Reed.
Luke is the kind of player that I wish I could play like . I'm not asking for much 😆
The poor Fender Rumble amp doesn’t even get mentioned by name. 😂
Great episode! One thought: Luke's done. He's over it. He needs to get out of there!
Somebody snap this talent up and get him on the road!
OMG YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure the answer is no but does Luke ever do guitar lessons online?
How about DG and the Eskimo Brothers next?!
ចូលមិត😂❤❤😢🎉
The best young guitar player in Nashville uses one guitar, one pedal and one amp. All us old gear pigs should give up.
Luke and the guy named Porter from a few years ago were Kellys best players.
No offense but i wish we could hear more about the modified pedal, John should've asked.
That's what a $5000 amp and $6000 amp sounds like.
I just know the Black Grape song
And now I want to go to Nashville to watch these guys!! They seem incredible
Haha, "i'll film the musicians you film the drummer".
Wish Ted would had beat you both to do the rundown!
2:30 He says that ain't a part of nothin'
Pops up in the front there is like WTF is happening
This video smells like hot tubes, fried bologna and PBR!
This is authentic country music??🤷♂️
Please don’t stand on your bass. It’s gonna break.
You guys missed Redd. Shame on you.
Obviously great playing but the showmanship stuff is cornball and gets old fast.
How many years do you want to play Ghost Riders in a bar?
As long as each new audience loves it, stays engaged, and puts money in the top jug.
