That was because I felt the other exfoliators in the line were more applicable to more people but for people looking for a mandelic toner its the best on the market so I hope that clarifies that :).. Hi can I use Mandelic Acid with retinol ? Like day time retinol or Mandelic Acid ? Or night time Mandelic Acid and day time retinol ? Please reply kindly
Some great info here and kudos to you for mentioning that certain acids are not suitable for people of colour. It’s advised that those with darker skin pigments refrain from using abrasive acids such as glycolic acid as this - as you mentioned - can actually worsen and cause hyperpigmentation. I got my first bottle of TO Mandelic Acid this morning and I am excited to give it a shot!
Hi hun, its a pleasure and I try to be as inclusive as possible.. I really hope you love the Mandelic acid and it works well for you but keep me posed on the results... sending you lots of love xxxxx
I just use the ordinary mandelic acid and it really works well for me❤️ my face became smoother within a few days after i used the product🥰 it truly helped to lighten my pimple marks❤️
I LOVE this acid!!! The Ordinary's mandelic acid does cause a bit a pilling on my skin, so I apply it first and wait 10 minutes before adding other products. I also add this acid to my body lotion to help in cell turnover on my aging skin! Rob, you are the PROFESSOR of skincare. I truly look forward to your videos everyday!!❤❤❤
@@afifalisa154 Mandelic acid is the mildest AHA, and had very large molecules. So you will get some exfoliation without any irritation. I have only used the one from The Ordinary, and it was very nice. I mixed it into my body lotion to help lightly exfoliate the skin on my body. It wasn't greasy at all. Are you needing an exfoliator? The new salicylic acid serum from The Ordinary would be wonderful for oily skin!
@@Patti-1962 i already use bha's and i was searching for a aha and i chose mandelic acid since its gentle but I'm afraid of the texture of the ordinary one since its in a serum form and could be oily and heavy on the skin can you recommend something more lightweight and watery in texture like essense but in higher that 8 percent of mandelic acid
I'm using your expertise to aid in my Christmas shopping for my 4 sisters. I've been sending your videos to them to watch when I have a product I think is suited to them. Thank you for helping with my Christmas shopping!
I've never tried mandelic acid. My skin is used to the stronger ones, but mandelic sounds like a good first acid for my (almost) teenage daughters when they eventually want to use acids.
Hey hun thanks for watching and I hope all is good with you.. I agree, if you can tolerate a stronger acid then you will get better results but for those who cant or for first time users this is an amazing option xx
You should try By Wishtrend's Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. It's the only acid I'ver ever tried that gives me such great results without irritating my skin at all, even when using it twice a day. I've previously used The Ordinary's Lactic Acid 10% + AHA, and COSRX's AHA 7 Whitehead Liquid, which contains 7% glycolic acid. They worked well but I wasn't blown away. The By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid on the other hand, even though it's so gentle, gives me fast results in improving texture, lightening hyperpigmention and just imparts a gorgeous glow to my skin. This might be due to the other great ingredients in the products like Liquorice Root Extract, Beta Glucan and Panthenol. Whatever it is, my skin just loves it
I love mandelic acid and it is especially brilliant for addressing clogged pores. Combined with bha, it's a dream team. ❤️ Currently, I'm using the stratia soft touch aha which has 10% mandelic acid coupled with soothing ingredients like chamomile and allantoin. ☺️
@@ShraddhaManvi I dont use any other actives in my routine. Just bought a (6% MandelicAcid+1% BHA) for my fungal acne-like bumps. I also have the Ordinary Niacinamide. Im thinking of using the mandelic acid 3× a week and nicainamide every day. Eould it be too much?
@@mariyammahir7590 hi, if you suspect you have fungal acne, i would suggest don't use any actives till your skin resets and recovers. Also, using actives is very subjective. Some people don't face any issues with the frequency you have suggested but it would personally be overkill for me. I've learned through trial and error that a couple of times a week is what works best for me.
Mandelic acid is the best option for deeper skin tones because its way less of a risk to promote hyperpigmentation!! Dark skin produces extra melanin more easier than lighter skin tones at the slightest irritation!!!

Hello hun! I be watched this video for third time cause I really like your opinion. I use TO LACTIC ACID three months now twice a week and I have FT MANDELLBRIGHT. Is it better cause of summer and heat to begin mandellbright three maybe times a week? My face is not sensitive so fare and I am dealing with hyperpigmentation. Fine wrinkles etc are going fine ...

Hi, would like to ask if i can use mandelic acid from the ordinary and .5 retinol in squalene at the same time? Is it normal to feel kind of itchy after i applied the products? Would really appreciate if you could give an insight about this. Sending lots of love.
I hun, you can but I wouldnt if you have sensitive skin as it might be too much and it might be what's causing the itch.. I would use the mndelic in the am and the retinol in the evening.. sending you lots of love xxxxx
Sometimes I listen to your videos while I’m driving, I don’t have an issue on other devices but when I’m using CarPlay or a Bluetooth speaker your audio is significantly lower than anything else I play, I’m not sure if there is a way for you to normalize the audio before exporting so that it is as loud as it can consistently be without peaking or distortion?
Aww thank you so so much for such a lovely comment and that's odd re the sound.. I have new sound and recording equipment coming soon so i hope that will resolve it xx
Can I use mandalic acid 10% from the ordinary and Pha toner from the inkey list...?and am only 13 so I don’t wanna get horrible breakouts so am trying to find something to help😭
Hi hun, I wouldn't use both as I think it would be too much so I would use one or the other which will give good benefits over time .. sending you lots of love xxxx
So I just applied 2 drops of TO's 10% Mandelic Acid+HA 5 hours ago (after my CeraVe hydrating cleanser and before my CeraVe skin renewing night cream). When I went to the bathroom and caught my reflection in the mirror, I noticed that my face was looking oily (my skin type is dry/eczema prone for the most part) so I'm a little confused as to what's going on.
Love these daily uploads 😍 please can you do a video on the best spot treatments for acne / bad spots such as an overnight treatment etc? I’ve just got rid of my drying lotion because it’s made my spots worse! Xxx
It won't work overnight but I highly recommend azelaic acid, particularly Facetheory's "Azeclear" serum for cystic acne spots. Completely cleared my skin in about 3 weeks of using daily and now I go weeks without getting a new spot! (Used to wake up with a new spot everyday!)

I would keep trying not to pull them off as it will help over time but sometimes the skin needs to purge the gunk from the pores first.. this is usual and I would say is a good sign its working... sending you lots of love xxxx
