Welcome back to one of our absolute favorite places... Galveston Island, Texas! This week we take you to recently renovated Galveston Island State Park.

In this updated video, we take you on a tour of both the beach side and the bay side of this coastal Texas state park. During this stay, we RV camped in both the beach side RV campground and the bay side RV campground. The updates have added some unique features to this state park.

It's rare that I pull up a UA-cam video on the TV to watch together with my wife and we both enjoyed it. Your RV looks great. We're definitely going to make a trip to Galveston Island State Park this year.

Great job covering all the renovations. Those concrete pads are awesome, and the sidewalk to the beach is great. Hubby grew up down there, so we have been camping there for many years. They really did a great job on this park. Great footage of the birds.

Wow! What an in-depth and informative look at this state park! This will be so helpful for anyone, not just rv’ers, considering a trip here. It’s always a pleasure seeing what is to me, a new landscape never seen before, especially when it happens to be one of your favorite areas. And the amazing variety of birds.. oh so incredible. Oh, it’s so nice to have y’all back on track. Your vid’s are so informative. So many travelers are just sight seeing and taking pics. You take the time to research your travels and give us the history of the places you visit. You two have really taken the time to “stop and smell the roses“👏. Thank you for being so thorough. You really appreciate what you see. You both look great and your rig still looks new👍 and I love the fact y’all are animal lovers. I once read an article that said “ you can tell a whole lot about a person by the way they treat an animal”.

Growing up in Galveston, I remember when the beach side had camping circles and bath houses right next to the dunes. So sad that so much land has been lost to these storms. But the island is looking better than ever with all the revitalization ❤️❤️❤️
We drove through the bay side when we were there a year ago but the beach side wasn't open yet. The best we could do was view from the boardwalk beach access up to where the sidewalk wasn't yet paved.
Yep, they did more on the Bay side after you were there!

I've been following y'all on FB for a while. But, this is the first of your videos I've checked out. Thanks so much - very informative. We bought a TT in 2021 and have been taking it out quite a bit to Texas State Parks. Looking forward to digging through your video library for more inspiration. I would be very skeptical about staying in this park in the summertime....WIth that Texas heat and no shade in sight, that cannot be good...Those running on Solar might love it along with the Starlink folks...Travel safe, be well

Now that our daughter and family are living Cypress, Galveston Island is in our sites for RVing. We have done a day at the beach there, but not RVed. We did a Disney cruise out of Galveston this past December.

You can fish on the bay side or straight from the beach. We haven’t done it but we’ve seen some folk’s catching some!

Sooo good to see y’all again. I sold my RV…full time wasn’t for me. Now I’m car camping in my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and LOVING it. Do you know if car camping is allowed at the Galveston State Park. Would love to stay a few days there when I get back to Texas.

Yes, they just have to be leashed!

Really enjoyed your vidio, The question I would like to ask is what is it like when you
go through places like the Dallas, Fortworth area with your big rig, I here stories of
people who are scared to death of the trafic in large cities, Any advice of how you cope with it.
We try not to but when we do we first try to go thru on the weekends for less traffic. If during the week we go thru around noon to avoid rush hours!
Curious on how you guys keep your motorhome so clean. Do you wash yourself or take it through truck wash like Blue Beacon?
We wash ourselves!
Were you able to swim in the ocean during your stay? We would love to visit, but have little ones and want to make sure the beach area is clean and safe. Thanks!
We did not go in the water. Used to when we were younger but now just love the sound of the waves and breezes.

It’s all saltwater so I don’t think so.
How was the mosquitoes? On the Bay side
We got swarmed for a few minutes when we first arrived on the bay side. Not too bad after that.
