I am so happy everyone showered you with Kindness. You give so much kindness you deserve it back 10 fold. I loved the makers moment because stitching feeds my soul and it can get me through rough times. I lost my mom one year ago Dec 12th and stitching has gotten me through that. If there isn't stitching in Heaven I ain't going. Your videos bring me such happiness. Thank you. I too will be 55 in April 2024. Thank you again for all you do. (Hugs)
Love your term of a double nickel birthday. I would have loved to have used that term this year, but just turned 56 in September. Oh well. Love your fabulous cross stitch and quilting projects. Being a multi-crafter is a true gift and you have truly been blessed with your talent. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the masses. Love that you too like to make donation quilts.... I started my "pay it foward - quilt ministry" years ago, and really stepped it up after my sister passed. I sent quilts and pillow cases to the University of Washington in her honor. Its a win win for everyone - patients get something that is cozy and like a hug from home (quoting a patients mom!) and you get to fondle fabric.....playing with fabric and creating calms my soul. And now my cross stitch addiction has helped calm my mind after my sister and both dads have passed. Thank you for all of the fabulous things you do!!!

Happy birthday Shellie! Thanks so much for that wonderful Makers Moment. I sometimes feel guilty about the amount of time I spend quilting, cross stitching or the many other crafts I dabble in. We have recently purchased a fabulous cabin in the North Ga mountains that has required some work to bring it back to life...I guess I could consider that as being a maker project. I love to quilt as well as cross stitch. Always needing to keep my hands busy. 55 is young my friend. I will be 65 this year and I wouldnt change a thing ❤❤

I especially enjoyed your reviews of the hoop and frames, those are really helpful to of us who are just starting to use the darn things. I have stitched in hand my entire life, but now retired find I need to change because to many hours of stitching makes my hands hurt. So your freebies have been so good. It sounds like you had a fabulous birthday! How you had energy to stitch at the end of the day is beyond me!

Nice to see you again, feels like it’s been a while. Well, you had another jam packed show. I’ve been putting in stitches and watching you and absolutely drooling over your gift of three vintage quilts. The feathered star is just incredible the bags that you got from fab shabby Rose Are absolutely fabulous. I was so pleased to hear you mention the whip journals. I was just looking at them on Amazon and because I quilt and I crossed it. They both looked very interesting to me, but I didn’t get to see the inside, so thank you for showing that, can’t wait to see what you have in store for us from Amana. My husband and I were in a mana this summer for three or four days but I could’ve stayed much longer happy stitching happy 55.

Your Maker Moment spoke to me….I am a stitcher. In the past, I dabbled in it all, but choose to stitch. BUT a MAKER is so much more the material things. I am a retired 30 year elementary principal. When I retired, I was lost and sad. It took me along time to realize that being a principal was not what I did, but it was WHO I was. I was a maker, who lost my parents, teachers and children. . No one needed me to make a difference. After I realized I needed to be a maker again, I said yes to the local college to supervise student teachers in area elementary schools. I needed to be a maker of good teachers for our children. You are a maker, by sharing your smile, your positive attitude and your faith. You make a difference ❤❤. Fabulous

Shellie, you are the true meaning of spreading Kindness. You truly feed my soul with every episode that you produce. You are so inspiring and encouraging especially in your endeavor to learning new technology! I wanted to share the name of the scroll rod system that I use which is very similar to the Handy Clamp system that you showcased. Mine is called Arabeska. The project bag really is Fabulous! One last thing to share with you, it is a saying that I came across many years ago, “Be Yourself, Everybody else is already taken” I love that saying. I live in Springfield, OH and love Keepsakes. Makers moment was so true and I thank the Lord often that I craft,especially during the difficult years we have had. I firmly believe that crafting kept me sane. All my hoops are Nudge and I love them,they not only come in various sizes but also depths. I am venturing into EPP therefore quilt would be useful but so would the fabulous bag. I need two phones when I watch you - one to watch your floss tube and one to order what you show. I loved that you rated what you showed. I also will keep pen and paper nearby. I will see you at the Jingle Ball. I went last year and it was fabulous. I’m sure this year will be even better. Your makers moment was spot on. Anyone who thinks God doesn’t care about beauty needs to read his detailed plans for the tent of meeting. And it was portable.

To paraphrase Lori Holt, You are the boss of your own cross stitch. I did 1 over 2 on 32 count for the Hands on Design stitchy talk pieces because even with the magnifier light, I had a hard time finding the holes on that black linen.
