As I’ve been listening and learning from this video, I thought “she’s like the Mr. Rogers of FlossTube”. And I mean that in a very positive, special way. You have such a positive, encouraging, inquisitive personality. You are a wonderful teacher. Anyway, thank you for EVERYTHING. Blessings, Xxoo ❤

Oh heavens to Betsy… this is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen. I have no idea who you are yet but I adore your passion!! I feel like you’re a kindred spirit!! I will be binge watching and subscribing right this second! I love the oldest quilt- I feel that historical passion so I really appreciated it. I actually got choked up hearing you tell the story of the (pre) civil war quilt! Thank you, you’re a doll!!! God bless you. From TX w/❤

Loved your history tour! My grandmother used feed sacks for so many things. She even made me shorts from feed sacks. Yes, I am well into my 70's and love all quilts and quilting. I learned from that Grandmother as I sat next to her as she sewed. She would be so shocked at the cost of fabric and that we are not using old clothing and feed sacks to make our quilts. Thank you! Spring, stitch and seasons.

Hello there! My name is Angie from Kentucky. I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your style of Flosstube. I am loving learning about the history of sampler, notions, etc. You do a great job! I'm a fairly new stitcher so I am learning with each video. I love to "stitch" along with watching you. I am also a serious stitcher of the "seasons" so I can fill my home with them as decor. Thanks again!

Well I loved all 1 hour and 55 min of this time with my friend today! You are so kind to mention my studio tour (which sounds so fancy, I have a hard time calling it a studio!). Also, that photo of those queen hoops made me drool! The Shellie influence hits hard for this girl 🥰. Husband was listening and said “I never know what to buy you, let’s order that stand for your bday”. I said, oh are you sure? 😇😇😇

Swans, summer, poppy, sea, cricket. These are all the packets that I like. 😊I would love to go with y'all on your road trip. You could stop by and pick me up in Fernandina Beach, which is just above Jacksonville, "wink wink". I'm originally from Lakeland, FL, which is known for it's swans. This summer is really going to be a hot one. Poppy and cricket or crickets will be out and looking nice and making noises rubbing their legs together. I leave about 6 miles from the beach, as Amelia Island is just across the bridge. The American Beach is also close by, which is famously known for being a beach for black people. Hope you can visit up here sometime on one of your road trips. Thanks for your videos. Y'all always put a smile on my face.😊

Oh I DID NOT want this flosstube to end!!! I'm going to go back and rewatch the quilts section! I had goose bumps by the time you got to the Civil War quilt!!! I remember reading years ago that women would send quilts they had made to their sons who were fighting in the war. Can't you just picture and feel in that quilt the soldier who laid on the ground after fighting all day and cuddles up in his mothers quilt!

I tuned in for stitching, but LOVED the quilt lesson. I don’t know anything about quilts , but 20ish years ago I purchased 3 quilts from an estate/yard sale. They were rolled and tied up, but I bought them unseen because a dealer was there wanting them. I only paid $5 each. When I got them home they were in perfect condition. They were African American made as told to me by the relative at the sale. They too were made from clothing and you could see the perfect outline of men’s trousers. I sold them online to pay for a family vacation. The family time was so precious, but I still regret selling those quilts. I have a few made by my great grandmother. Maybe you could tell me what you see in them one day.

Thank you for sharing Shellie! As a quilter for over three decades, I truly appreciated the quilting stories at the end. I make all kinds of quilts, but I am drawn to the primitive colors and style. In a different lifetime I would decorate my home that way. Thank you for making time for us. I am constantly amazed at the generosity and kindness of this stitching community. I must admit some of my family and fiends "don't get it," but that only makes me smile, because this stitching community is my little slice of heaven, right here on earth. I share it with those who are open to it. I feel truly blessed to have gone down this rabbit role. Hugs from NE Ohio.

I am really enjoying my current stitch. It's the Stars pattern from Plum Street Samplers. I also have the & as well as the companion piece called Stripes. 😊
Maybe one day I'll try a sampler but I have got to get better at counting. 😂

I enjoy watching your floss tube. They are very informative. I love the project bag that you made. Thanks for sharing your quilts that you have purchased and how you are able to date them. Not sure if you are aware, but the handles on the basket block that you made are different. Quilt, Stitch.
