  • Watch epic, incredible fan videos from the grandstands of Austin Dillon's wild ride into the catchfence at the 2015 Coke Zero 400! From the exit of Turn 4, to just before Turn 1; from plenty rows up to just a few feet away from impact, analyze the incredible impact of Dillon's #3 slamming straight into the fence feet away from fans! The car comes to rest up side down, just to be hit by a spinning, out-of-control Keselowski! Listen to fans go from excited as Jr. wins, to terrified on impact, then erupt in cheers when they learn Dillon was able to walk away from such a violent wreck!
    Watch official footage here: • Dillon walks away from...
    Credit is given to the UA-cam channel / Instagram account that hosted every footage obtained and can be seen at the top left corner of the video.

    Hard to believe this was 4 years ago. That night, I’m sure many others had the same thoughts as me that we just saw another driver lose his life. Thank god for the safety equipment we have now.

    It’s honestly incredible how a catch fence can bring a car going 190-200 mph to (almost) a complete stop within a second.

    One thing that isn't widely mentioned is this was the very first year Daytona stopped allowing people to walk near the fence during greens. I remember others, including myself even, complaining how "lame" it was. Feel so stupid looking back. Look at any footage from previous years and you'll see people walking 3 feet away from the catch fence. This could have been a disaster.

      besweeeet2 Well, UA-cam compressed tf out of my video. The exported .mp4 file looked much better. Resampling is only noticeable if you happen to pause in an 'in-between' frame right? On a 30fps video.

    • @besweeeet2
      @besweeeet2 9 років тому

      Leuel48Fan Resampling can be seen while the video's playing, or at least to me it is (lol).

    I remember watching this race live and when I saw the wreck I started freaking out saying he's dead. That on is by far one of the worst car vs catch fence in NASCAR history. Bodine in 2000 is # 1 and Carl Edwards at Talladega is #2. Of course this is just my opinion. Brad K " wrecky stenhoused " AD

    Great videos!
    Now is time to show those Keselowski fans that Keselowski did get lots of time to slow down before he ran into Austin

    • @NerfcodenameGHOST
      @NerfcodenameGHOST 9 років тому +3

      I am no Keselowski fan, in fact Gordon nation all the way, but take into account the physics. He is slamming on brakes trying to slow from over 100 mph, without considering the brakes locking up, and at that speed even with full brakes once he hit the oil on the track he lost full control. In fact people with race buddy I heard from said Keselowski was the most worried and his radio chatter is so frantic NASCAR will not release the audio outside of those people who had race buddy that night.

    • @pcpopscergi1238
      @pcpopscergi1238 9 років тому

      He was definitely the driver that worried about Austin that day
      Unless he's a cold heart asshole

    • @NerfcodenameGHOST
      @NerfcodenameGHOST 9 років тому +1

      KB18theBEST Yeah a lot of people I know kept telling me he was frantically worrying if he had killed Austin when his car hit the 3. In fact the only audio of the 2 team NASCAR did release was his spotter calming him down after he (the spotter) saw that Dillon was okay.

    • @pcpopscergi1238
      @pcpopscergi1238 9 років тому

      He's got to be
      Sometimes he's being an asshole to be a winner
      But he isn't a bad guy
      He just came in the cup series for four years
      He still has to study to grow up
      Just like my man Kyle Busch
      He was a crying baby when he just took a step into this series
      But after years and years, got a really bad injury and having a baby, these change him a lot
      He's not a crying baby like he used to be any more
      Having a baby seems like a great way to grow up

    • @NerfcodenameGHOST
      @NerfcodenameGHOST 9 років тому +1
