- Say hello to a new series from my channel: NASCAR Fans Angle Compilation! Watch a mix of crazy, rare, and mostly unseen footage mixed with viral fan videos of Kyle Larson's epic crash into the catch-fencing coming out of the last corner of the last lap of the 2013 Drive4COPD Nationwide Series race at Daytona! This video includes clips from almost every possible angle existing on UA-cam. From the seats out of turn 4, and well past the finish line going into turn 1, to multiple angles from pit road and the infield, analyze the incredible impact of Larson's #32 machine smash into the fence. Listen to the fans reactions from excitement to pure shock as they experience one of the most spectacular finishes in NASCAR history! Even ESPN's footage could not provide such extensive extraordinary angles of the wreck!

To this day I didnt notice an entire tire connected to suspension pieces flew into the grandstands. That is amazing no one was killed.
I beleive a lady was seriously injured. TBI and will never be "normal" again. Plus a few fans were definitely injured.
Not to mention how damn hot the tire would be😰

I was over in turn 2, in those tiny grandstands and I saw it on the TV/ Fanvision thing when it happened.
Ten years today, the crash that the racing fans always remembered. Thank god nobody's died on the stands.
Surely this accident made the circuit administrators realize how dangerous it was for the grandstand to be so close to the circuit.
Fortunately, the necessary changes were made in the renovation of the stands at the circuit, imagine how much worse Austin Dillon's accident could be with the old stands close to the circuit.
And one more fact, this was not the first example of this danger of fans being too close to the circuit, Todd Bodine's accident back in 2000 is a great example that miraculously, neither he, or anyone in the audience died.

The craziest part is that the hole Larson's car hit was for a man operated TV camera, and from most angles the dude just appears to eviscerate into outer space, but I believe there is one view in HD I've seen before where you can just see him dive backwards at the last second.

You can see in the clip at 0:52 and also at 1:33 that a tire just flew into the stands. Surprising nobody was injured or worse.
how long does it take you to do these videos, it usually takes me maybe a week to go through all the videos, but I include the network's angles too. Austin Dillon's crash was nasty and was planning to do a video for it too, if you come out with yours first and I use the footage you compiled, I will note you down 4 sure.
compilationguy Well this one I got the idea to do it about 2 years after the actual wreck, but the video itself took about 5 days (1-2 hrs / day) of actual finding and editing the them together. Dillon's I'm being a little patient as there are still more videos being uploaded, but I'd guess about early next week for completion. Can you be more specific about your video? What will you be compiling? Just this wreck with fan videos, or what?

Ricky Wright If you're talking about Larson, no; no driver was hurt in the accident including #32. About the fans, I remember there were about 30 injuries but do not recall the extent of them.

Luckily it didn't go into the stands at full speed. Looks like the catchfence impact slowed it down but still extremely dangerous
Actually it's pretty amazing how it didn't like roll up and thru, the crowd instead it just kind of flew up &then just dropped right on at least one person but had it gone in like that engine block& suspension parts that killed like a shitload of people I believe it was in 1965 F1 race that wreck almost ended motorsports in Europe for good now that was a horrific accident that's hard to watch just horrible I feel sorry for everybody that was there,who seen it was in it and family that lost loved one because of it I hope nothing like that ever happens again!
