Instead of removing the throttle cables, remove the bracket and slide it forward and then you can move them out of your way as one unit. While taking off the carbs, do not pry or put pressure on the “cooling fins” on the motor. Good video
This video was great and to the point. I have a 07 Honda Shadow 1100 that I've been hesitant about working on the carburetor but after watching this video it gives me hope. Would this be the same for my year?
It's basically an expansion tank (not needed) takes crank case pressure from the head and then runs a small line down to the bottom of the bike as a vent. It's to vent crankcase pressure.
I just successfully rebuilt my '99 vt100 carb, after watching this 5 times. thanks so much!
Simple and clean explanation and work. Thank you!❤😊

@@derekr7814 So I can take this off the bike, and what? run the hose directly down to drain?, thanks for your time!
no, sir. I am not doing all this....
Then go ahead and piss away hundreds for a shop to do it when you could instead save money and buy upgrades for the bike. This shit is easy.
@@derekr7814 Yeah... I am more comfortable doing that..... then messing up the bike...
