LYRICS: 🔻
All alone in an alleyway
Staring at my face
In the reflections of broken bottles
Didn't know I had this many scars
I thought I'd won
All my different battles
But I'm corrupt, I got nothing left
Spent all my love trying to forget
Ignore your calls and I throw the phone away
Please believe me when I say
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
Don't hold onto me
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
I got nothing left to give
But I keep on coming, begging for more
And I'm slowly falling, crashing below
And the things I used to hold so close
They burn
And the love that used to shine so bright
Was shattered like the satellites
And the venom starts to swallow me whole
Like black holes
And I know that you tried to stay
But my awful ways
You will never overlook
And all the things that hurt me
They got no remedy
And they'll start hurting you too
Cause I'm corrupt, I got nothing left
Spent all my love trying to forget
Ignore your calls and I throw the phone away
Please believe me when I say
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
They don't hold onto me
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
I got nothing left to give
Cause I keep on coming, begging for more
And I'm slowly falling, crashing below
And the things I used to hold so close
They burn
And the love that used to shine so bright
Was shattered like the satellites
And the venom starts to swallow me whole
Like black holes
Like black holes
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
They don't hold onto me
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
I got nothing left to give
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
I surrender in my defeat
Don't hold on
Don't hold on
Even black holes let me be
But I keep on coming, begging for more
And I'm slowly falling, crashing below
And the things I used to hold so close
They burn
And the love that used to shine so bright
Was shattered like the satellites
And the rain of stars to swallow me whole
Like black holes
(Don't hold on
Don't hold on
They don't hold onto me)
Like black holes
(Don't hold on
Don't hold on
Even black holes let me be)
Like black holes

This one is about addiction. Animosity was the one that Pau wrote after a relationship went bad. Narcissista was Pau getting mad that critics were dissing them for writing songs in English.
And you have one more ballad to go on this album, Show Me the Light.
Thankies Nosmoking 🖤🤘🖤
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts Dany transforms into Gilmour in Show Me the Light.
They said in an interview that none of their songs so far are personal. None of them pertains to any of the three. You can at least say that about their first two albums. I think "Breathe" is personal to Pau since she cried when she did it at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City.
Composing this song at 13 years of age lets you know what a musical genius Pau really is. Her vocal on this is ethereal. Your Warning coverage is awesome!
Thankies Raider 🖤🤘🖤
I always thought it was curious that Pau was smiling in the beginning on such an intense and not particularly happy song. Someone explained that the crowd started singing along, surprising her a bit. Then it made perfect sense.
Yush! We wondered her amazing energy and Charisma 🖤🤘🖤
During a recent stripped down show in Montreal, Pau and Dany performed a number of older songs, including this one. Ale was ill and could not do the show. So they made it an intimate show for the crowd at the event that was sponsored by a local radio station. Pau said it had been a number of years since she'd last performed this. What was humorous was later on in the show it has been so long since she sang one of the songs that she forgot the lyrics. A member of the audience looked up the lyrics on his cell phone and handed it to Dany to show Pau.
Haha brilliant 🤘🖤🤘
One of if not my absolute favorite songs by them, and definitely the right performance. 💖💖💖
Pau turns on my waterworks.
I LOVE THIS BAND
Thankies Daniel! 🖤🤘🖤
Yes, Pau wrote this when she was about 13 when she wrote this amazing song.
Awesome Power again! 🖤🤘🖤
Excellent reaction.....you really have fun....TW are so talented....I cant imagine on two or three years...the level of these women....
Neither! huge potential 🖤🤘🖤
incredible ballad and deep lyrics about drug addiction. Please react the warning song show me the light .
Coming up! 🖤🤘🖤
🙋🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡⚡
I love this song, it's a bit strange to see Pau not bashing the heck out of a drumkit, but her voice always gets me in the feels ❤
Definitely 🥰
Did you folks see the Lima show? ASTOUNDING
Not yet but never say never 🖤🤘🖤
A truly remarkable song. I don't quite know how to describe it. It's a bit fast and energetic for a true ballad. It certainly isn't a heavy sound. It is about addiction, as nosmokingdogs said; one of the stories is that there was a big drug problem in Monterrey around that time and she got the idea from a piece in a local newspaper, but I'm not aware that they've ever spoken to the origin of the song.
They -- well, Pau and Dany -- actually did play this recently, at an informal event at a radio station in Montreal (Ale was sick at the time and Dany was recovering, so Dany and Pau improvised with Dany on acoustic guitar and Pau on keyboard, and Pau did most of the singing). Pau mentioned at the start that the first song was going to be one she hadn't played in years (*), and somebody yelled out "Black Holes", and one of them commented that they couldn't surprise anyone. This is one of their most beloved songs, beautiful but intense. Hopefully they'll work more of these older songs back into their set lists. There was one performance (I don't recall which) where Pau stopped singing during the chorus so she could hear the audience singing it back to her (she did that recently on another song and made hand motions indicating that she wanted everyone to sing).
(*) Pau actually did play it about a year or 18 months ago, along with Stalker and The End on piano for a Pau Day (Saturday) event.
This is just as a rock ballad should sound. Lived trough many bands and many ballads in my long life, but if I can compare this song to any of the big ones, like Stairway to haven 😢 or hotel California my vote would go to this song. And I can tell why. All ballads written and performed by others, long and up and down solos by different instruments are not really ballads, but just making people cry from different reasons. And this song as simple as it could be and all three instruments are played in the background almost giving people chills. Simplicity is the key word here, and still making cry old and young listeners? And her songwriting ability was shown on their third Album Error. Any more question?
Awesome 🤩 Thankies so much for the amazing comment! 🖤🤘🖤
They can get very emotional when the audience sings along with them, that people like their music enough to learn the lyrics.
🖤🤘🖤
Masterpiece!
🖤🤘🖤
I love this song but then again come to think of it i love all the songs 😁😁😁
Definitely 🖤🤘🖤
She's so cute it just KILLS me!
Aww 🥰
Pau got inspired by reading an article - you wouldn't think a 14 years old (when she wrote the song) could write a song like Black holes, would you?
All alone in an alleyway
Staring at my face
In the reflections of broken bottles
Didn't know I had this many scars
I thought I'd won
All of my different battles
Great lyrics 🖤🤘🖤
In a later interview she said it was actually about a family friends addiction
Themes interpreted by Pau with piano, his melancholic, sad and devastated voice, for today there is no one who is at the level of Pau as a complete musician, the great songs of Pau on piano: BLACK HOLES, what a sad and melancholic voice of Pau, a Deep and dark theme of additions, it hits you in the feeling, Pau what a composer current and direct themes such as Breathe, Creep, Show Me The Light, Escape The Mind, Breathe, and its beautiful themes interpreted as The End, 23, Revenant, Narcissist , Survive, Dust to Dust, Sinister Smiles, Disciple, just a summary of the great work of this beautiful and talented woman
Whoop whoop 🙌🖤
amazing song.
It is! 🖤
TW... They are the best!! 🤘
⚡🎸🥁🎸⚡
Whoop 🙌
For me, the mark of a truly great power trio is their ability to create awesome ballads. The Warning has already passed that test. Easy to tell how the music flows through each sister. They certainly got me in the feels with this one and a few others. I am confident they will make me cry many times in the future and I will love every tear. Dashy does such a great job putting info for the artist in the description. Do yourself a favor and read it.
Thankies Andy! 🖤🤘🖤
I'm old and cynical, with a heart that mostly feels cold and dead, but this song still gets me every time.
Aww 🥰🖤
PAU💥❗
PAUER! 🖤🖤🖤
🤟🇲🇽🤟🇲🇽🤟🇲🇽
This amazing song was written by a 13yr old..yes Paulina wrote this song at only 13 about addiction. You see her smiling at the beginning when she hears the crowd singing along.Pau's Rasp is amazing. All her songs so great and her ballads out of this world. Also should watch her performance of this song first time doing it in 5 years acoustic version with Dany from their show in Canada.
Much love Paul
9:19 This is my favourite song where Paulina sings the lead (apart from Creep); she wrote this was when she was 13 if I remember correctly. Astonishing!
Great reaction, glad you enjoyed it 🌟
Thankies Darell! 🖤🤘🖤
Are they unable?
To ever dissapoint?
Every song of them I've ever heard: is amazing! I mean: they have some maybe 40 songs out, by now: did anyone ever find
a weak spot? This is phenomenal. Everyband should have a weak spot.
If all of this is written and composed by those sisters: what do we have , here?
Watching a legend grow, I suppose. I was too young, when the Beatles strted up, here in Hamburg.
Maybe I don't miss such a thing, this time. Those lyrics. The arrangements....everything.
Definitely 🖤
Their weakness is not being able to write a bad song. I'm sure, they keep this weakness.
I slightly prefer Show Me The Light over Black Holes as far as the piano ballads on XXI Century Blood. The only reason is Dany's solo in Show Me The Light is one of my favorite solos of hers. The passion in Pau's vocals and the meaning of the lyrics makes this a beautiful ballad as well. I know this reaction came out on Dany Day but since it's Pau Day now, happy Pau Day 😊🤘!
thankies Captain
Ok. I’m ready for another shiny reaction. Let’s do this
Haha 😛🖤
This song is so sad but very good
Definitely 🔥🤘🔥
🤟🤟🤟🖤🖤
Y'all switched sides. I got confused. LOL
Hehe 😜 🖤🤘🖤
