Quickly naming your object data the same as your mesh data in Blender.

  • Perhaps you are like me and you like to keep your scenes clean in Blender by naming your mesh and object data with the same name. I recently ran into a very quick method of renaming the object data and thought I would share it with others.

    now show how to mass do this for 2,000 objects at the same time.

      The free add-on 'Viewport Rename' will handle the object and mesh data at the same time and does batch renaming...not sure about 2K objects at a time, but keep me posted : )
