      Hi! Thank you so much. I've never used glucose syrup before so I couldn't give advice on that. If you have substituted glucose for corn syrup in your other recipes and it worked for you, then you should try it. Please come back and let me know how it worked out for you if you try it, because this is not the first time I've been asked that.💕

    Hi,do you have to let the caramel cool down to dip the apple if so for how long should it cool down?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  Місяць тому

      Hi, let it cool down until you can't fell any warmth to the apples. Or you can wait a good 45 minutes. 1-2 hours is even better. This way you know they are cooled down. I hope this helps.💕

    What type of paper are you using to sit the candy apples on after dipping them in the caramel? I used the caramel bits melted and dipped and sat them on the silicone mat and the apples got stuck. What should I be using? Thanks for your response in advance.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  5 місяців тому

      I stopped using those caramel bits, I'd rather make homemade caramel with this southern caramel recipe because my caramel will stick every single time to the apples without bubbles and sliding off. I just use parchment paper. You can use parchment paper and if you want to be extra careful with your caramel you can get a cold stick of butter and rub a think layer of butter over the parchment paper to make sure the caramel doesn't stick. I hope this helps you.

      I just clean them like candy apples because they be putting too much wax on these apples nowadays. I'd rather be safe than sorry because I know I don't want to re-do no apples...lol. This will give me an excuse to do these good caramel apples again. I will have to try same day soon. I think I've done it before but can't remember what happened, because I'm greedy like that...lol. So let me do them first and then give you a definite answer.💕

    Hi, I see in your ingredients for the different batches that the corn syrup amount stays the same.
    Is there a specific reason to not double it?
    What would happen if you doubled the corn syrup when you doubled everything else ?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  Рік тому +2

      Great question. You can double the caramel recipe if you have a double batch. It's just when it comes down to candy apples I'm kind of picky about that...lol. I don't want my candy apples to be sticky or gooey from too much corn syrup. Plus it's easy to remember....lol.

    Hi I have two questions can the caramel be reused like if your going to make two batches can you pour the rest in the new batch or would it be better to just double the recipe and when you clean your apples can you caramel the apples the same day? Thank you

      Honey chile, yes this can be reused. I'm using what's left over today to fix me some turtle clusters tomorrow. I will have to try same day soon. • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  Рік тому

      Store them in the refrigerator and when you’re ready to eat or deliver let them sit on your kitchen counter 15 minutes prior to bring them back to room temperature. What is your issue with fondant?

    • @mireyarodriguez5524

      Thank you! My fondant hardness, even though I use cmc.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  Рік тому

      Any fondant stabilizer, tylose powder or gum-tex will make your fondant hard and sometimes tough to work with. If you let those pieces sit overnight they are usually hard as a brick...lol. Just use a tiny amount so you can work with it or just apply cmc on the silicone mold and see if that helps you. Fondant takes a lot of practice this is why most don't want to use it....lol. Either too sticky or too hard...lol. But eventually if you continue to practice with it, you'll get it just right to work with. I hope this little info. helps you. Oh, I almost forgot. Make sure your hands are dry or use plastic gloves.

      Do the candy apple boxes so they don’t mess up. Yes you can store these in the refrigerator. Just when you’re ready to eat them let your apples sit out on the kitchen counter until they reach back to room temperature so they can be good and soft again. The ingredients are in the description box here in the caramel apple tutorial- ua-cam.com/video/Os6RC4orD0I/v-deo.htmlsi=1x3b6POuUL4IxYFs Just melt your butter first, take off the stove and all of the other ingredients. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated. Put back on the stove and continue to stir without stopping to prevent your caramel from burning. Let this cook until your caramel reaches in between 232-235. This takes about 20 minutes but still have a candy thermometer. Let it cool for 3 minutes. Or you can test an apple to see if it's ready to be dipped. I hope this helps but one day I'll be able to hire an assistant to add the recipes.💕
