It's been almost exactly a year since this review and comparison. Have you found the Razer's key coating to hold up over time? The new G915 X seems to fix that by going with PBT instead of ABS coating (or whatever, I don't really know the differences), but it's newer so it's only $20 off right now. The Deathstalker V2 Pro is currently $90 off and I'm heavily considering it at that price, although the low battery life kinda worries me.
I ended up not keeping the Deathstalker, I couldn't live day to day with the shape of those keycaps. I kept the G915 until just last month when I bought the new G915 X. This was a good decision. lol I'm planning to make a follow up video.
@@NEON-Jai That does seem the way for me to go too, especially since i just bought a G502 X Plus. I can keep both devices on one USB dongle instead of using up two slots. Thanks a lot!
The G915 X is out and addressed all the shortcomings of the original G915. I've considered giving it a try to compare with my current G915, but it is expensive!
I had a G915 TKL linear for a few months and it started to annoy me by occasionally not responding to my inputs hence i'd always end up typing wrong words or typing the wrong password. I had to slam really hard on a said key for it to resume working properly. After being so annoyed, I decided to utilize the warranty for a replacement. I then got a G915 TKL clicky. give or take a year later, the same thing reoccured. Most times it'll work fine but every now and then, random keys will decide to misbehave and not be registered. Real annoying. Connected via lightspeed and not bluetooth. Looking to try out the Razer. Thoughts?
My biggest issue with the Deathstalker was the battery life. It was noticeably worse than the 915TKL. Like half. Of course, you could solve that by keeping the cable plugged all the time. You also may want try it. The typing experience is a bit worse with the Razer because of the shape of the keycaps. The surface is narrower and more concave then the G915. I prefer the feel of the G915. Get it from Amazon if you can, so if you don't like it you can return it. Too bad you have that problem with the G915. It's slightly better than the Deathstalker imo.
@@NEON-Jai G915 TKL is a nice keyboard but since I experienced unresponsive keys on 2 models, I find it disappointing not to mention it being a very expensive keyboard. Will give razer a try! G915TKL is very good battery life.
@@omri620 I just bought the new G915 X TKL. Will make a video soon after I use it for a week or 2. The G515 unfortunately doesn’t have dedicated media keys, otherwise I would have considered it.
Nice review bro. Is the Razer Deathstalker v2 Pro TKL is the best low-profile keyboard? I know you don't consider both options as "great keyboards" but I think both are the best options at the moment. The micro USB in G915 is something that bothers me. Would you recommend any options other than these?
Yeah, it is unfortunately that these are the only options when it comes to low profile TKL with media controls. I ended up with the G915. The micro USB bothers me too but the typing experience is just better than the Deathstalker. Also, the battery in the G915 is a lot longer, like double. Quite a big difference there. So I would go with the G915. At least the cable is good quality.
hello mate , great video i just watched it having a G915 myself for over 2 years now and i enjoye every single day using it , i agree with almost every point of your review , about the keycaps not visible in dim room i agree but since im a gamer and my elft hand goes on WASD "and i dont look at the keyboard when i type at all" i kind of find my way with no lights on , the coating wearing off did not happent o me yet and ive heard it has for some ppl i dunno if its for all or some had bad luck with it not sure but i do use my keyboard like 10hrs ~ daily and i do game meaning i press that WASD A LOT :D , the battery I LOVE , the USB port yes also a bad choice by Logitech altho it does not bother me that much i just accept it >
I still ended up keeping the G915 and returned the Razer. It was just not worth the price and trade different sets of problems. I bought some new keycaps on Amazon and replace the old one with a set of white caps. It totally solves the visibility issue for me. I'll do a video about it soon. 😉
dude what's funny now in Razer? exactly for me when I used Razer a couple of years ago, she was just terrible , I used Razer Blackwidow v2, everything seemed to be more or less fine until a couple of months passed , the paint started to wear off and as for the mouse with a bunch of buttons on the side, it was as bad as it gets after some time they began to wobble disgustingly, the sound of pressing was simply incredibly bad, it felt like I was using some kind of Chinese junk
My experience with the Naga V2 has be really good. Although it's only been a few months. I guess time will tell. But the Deathstalker keyboard though, not so much, I didn't expect so many downsides. The return window has another month. If I end up returning the Razer keyboard, I'll post an update.
Logitech just released a new version; the G915 X! Which has USB C and other updated components. I've ordered one and should be arriving in a couple days. Let's hope it's better than the outgoing model.
best comparison video between these 2 on internet

Yeap, I'm thinking about it too. Hopefully, it gets a discount during the holidays. 🤞

I've had the Razer Deathstalker v2 Pro TKL for two years. It's perfect for me, but I don't like the aluminum case. The paint scratches.. And dents...
The aluminum on the G915 is pretty weak too. It feels very thin. The new G915 X feels better quality.

I want to stay with Logitech, but their keyboards are so out dated, especially with the micro usb charging….
