If you have a G915 TKL, this is a great upgrade. I went from Tactile to Linear and it works great. No more rattling oily keys! Great to game and type on.
Hey, would you recommend buying the DS V2 Pro? I've got the G915 right now in LINEAR, but the wobbly/rattling keys make it sooo bad for the typing experience...
@@dannyventuradj oh yeah it is a great upgrade. I’ve had it for a couple months and it is not oily at all and still not rattling. It is a great typing and gaming upgrade. The volume wheel was a little stiff at first but it runs smooth now and isn’t an issue.
@@frankprogrammer appreciate your answer, thanks a lot! If you don't mind a last question: is there a problem with coil whine coming out of the keyboard? Some people said they had a problem with it when increasing the brightness and so.
I purchased the DS V2 Pro tkl after going over all the YT reviews. And i gotta say i still got overwhelmingly surprised at how premium it feels to hold, type, and lay my hands on. I use it for both work and gaming. From the typing sound test on youtube i thought it would be louder, but now that I'm using it i can say thats its even more silent than my old membrane keyboard. Just wow.
thankfully razer didn't cut corners with the build quality and didn't use toothpick pegs to attach the keycaps. this was the only reason why i never tried to clean my keyboard on my 915 because i knew that i was going to break a few keys along the way.
@Mash Extra Hi.Which of these keyboards do you recommend when it comes to quiet operation typical for gaming? Razer Huntsman V3 PRO TKL, Razer BlackWidow V4 75%, Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless Linear Optical or something else, but only from Razer because I have everything from it. Thank you.
What is the wake up time duration for the keys to illuminate when this kb is woken by key press ? Corsair K100 Air is 3.8 bloody secs. Also if you start typing on wake, the k100 air wont illuminate keys until you stop typing + 3.8secs
Eh, I'd say about 2 seconds approx. with 2.4hz no info online about exact times. With bluetooth its longer. Any Optical switch keyboard suffers from this because the battery would drain too fast if keyboard was contantly looking for a key press
Did you have the Alienware keyboard? the 510l or what ever the Alienware low profile is called. It feels exactly like the keys on that. My black widow v3 mini keys feel better but I think that is just because the are deeper not being a low profile
Hey mate, hopefully in about a week! We are just in the middle of moving to a much bigger office/studio hence the lack of content on mash it but hope to start getting back to normal soon 👍
Hey mate, I have gamed plenty on the purple switches and although I prefer reds for gaming purple are still fine. They are obviously clicky and much noisier but still work perfectly for gaming and are much better for typing 👍

@@dannyventuradj I've never noticed any coil whine and I run at 100% brightness for 15+ hours a day.
but what about accidental presses with the low actuation?

So glad you are enjoying yours!
Got this and love it. Clean simple look and super responsive as you said. Great review!
Thank you. Glad you are enjoying yours 😀
This was a great review mate! Have ordered the VP2 TKL & just waiting for the courier 😎
Hope you enjoy it :)
Your channel is underrated, more power to you. I like your presentation 😊
Thank you so much
Great review - one of the only ones who mentions wired connection option at all
Thank you
Fun fact. This is also hot swappable with low profile gateron optical switches or you can use the keychron low profile optical switches on it.
I'm currently using the Huntsman Mini, Razer does a good job with mechanical keyboards.

Excellent review, thanks 👍

Hey, the shinethrough brightness doesn't look all that bright, and thats in a dark room.. Is it very bright in daylight? Thanks

RBGs have another setting then 100% ?!?!
Legit question: how do the actual keycaps feel? Like the physical plastic part, does it feel the same as the plastic used on the Black Widow V3?

Razer should still have a low profile wrist rest like the one Logitech has for the MX Keys
yeah for sure!
why is the shift key is small on left and the enter is big
Because the U.K. layout is slightly different 👍
Is this the UK version of the keyboard? Seems to be using an ISO layout (which I prefer to ANSI), and I've been hunting for something like this...
That is correct as I am in the UK and its our standard layout :)
when is the razer monitor review coming out please

Hey mate, are the purple switches also alright for gaming? cause i really like the clicky sound and the feeling it has to it

Does the wireless dongle (hyperspeed) work with the Viper Pro 2?
Yes, they both use hyper speed. There is an option in synapse to open the utility which allows you to pair devices with the hyper speed dongle 👍
Sick Extra
he should check go see Sick IT
i need Razer to make a 38 inch monitor
i agree with this handsome bastard
😂
😂 It'd be about 3k
