This is hands down the most important update ever. The FM9 became now basically a perfect tool. Love it :)
Absolutely!
the gapless switching is a major benefit all around.. for me as mostly a cover band guitarist I love it because so many different tones are required per gig.. and then within those tones various extras that are needed.. here's an example: the old disco song called Boogie Oogie Oogie.. starts with a super clean Nile Rodgers type sound.. then a highly distorted flangy sound for that little lead section (think Ernie Isley).. then a smooth jazzy sound for the chorus sections.. LOL! I know I know totally old school.. but hey the crowd loves it.. then the next song might be China Grove.. just pull up the Song from the list.. nice!
For 2 years now, I've lived by the songs and setlists feature live. It's amazing.
This is soooo amazing that it's even hard to put it in to words! Now you won't be limited by the amount of effects and scenes for a song and gig... now we only need to have a 2nd pitch block to be able to do a Capo in front and then a Dual Detune to have all my wishes come true on the FM9 😅.
I finally get what the song setlist does. That was the best example Ive seen so far. Ive only been using it to select a 1 preset I built and titled as as song. Definetly give us more power!
That's a huge improvement. Btw. awesome sounds.
This update will make my FM9 the perfect rig. Awesome!
Sweet! Can't wait for it to be out of Beta.
@LeonTodd - such a great way to organize setlists which actually now works with gapless switching.
How about situations where delay tempos need to be locked in for each song especially while playing to a click.
Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks for the video and looking forward for the update. How do you do gapless switching between scenes with using different bank/amps? Thanks
At about 8:10 you switch from your huge shimmer tone to your chuck sound. It seemed that the spillover of the kinda long release time of the verb didn't wash over the switching into the much drier tone. Thanks
Spectacular! Will a release for the FM3 be forthcoming?
Apparently they're working on it
@@G66eu yep..."patience, grasshopper." Got it.
This is exactly how I plan to use my presets going forward. One remaining question for me though, is can we assign default sections for songs in the same way we can save a preset with a start scene?
Please introduce BPM input for each song in song section!!!
On november 9 2022, Cliff Chase said that this request is known and under consideration.
@@benoitquinton Yes, I was the author of request on forum. I just wanted to emphasize the request as no progress was made so far.
We NEED this!!
I love your IR 🔥🔥🔥 do you have this same IR for the Helix?
It should load in there
Been interested in Setlists since it was released. Unfortunately even with the gapless switching, the Setlist mode still isn't ideal for me because you can't have a set bpm for each song (correct me if this has changed). This is a problem for me for a number of reasons. Unfortunately for now my best bet is one preset per song.
I’m thinking it would work if you had some sort of midi device sending the bpm to your Fm9. You would have to program that for each song in your setlist but it would be worth the time if you are playing to click and tracks. Other than that I think a preset per song is the best option.
Great, but why oh why does Songs and Setlists, not allow different tempos to be set up in and be tied to them. Seems like a logical thing. For tempo dependant music (Delay Subdivisions, no one plays multiple songs in a set with all the same Tempo, and if playing to a click track, Tap Tempo is not the best option. So in the end, we still need a different preset saved for each Song in the Setlist feature. Was hoping to use this feature to keep my FM9 uncluttered, but now will still have to have per song presets saved for a set, even if all the same preset.
Hi Buddy Great video thank you. So i turn the spillover to all on my FM9 Turbo but i dont see the Gapless option is not underneath like you have on the FM9 Edit. im running 6.0 beta any ideas? please let me know Thnx
make sure you've updated the editor
Commenting to bring the issue of per song bpm.
This is the only reason I can’t use the songs feature. Played to a click track, until then, it’s preset per song :/
Weird problem, I have 6.00 Beta loaded, but in the Global Setup I have the spillover selection button but no "Gapless" button/selection available. I can't think of a reason...
Did you update FM9 edit too?
