    Finally got my first fractal unit (FM9), don't normally comment (but do hit the like) but have been watching your vids on the fractal units for some time and they are, as is this, incredibly insightful. Well explained as to the "why" of what you do with the chain and parameters. Slowly building my live rig in this beast and because your tutorials so brilliantly produced they are extremely helpful. This thing keeps impressing me the more I dive in, which is a relief, pretty ex$y bit of kit here down under. Keep up the incredible work.

    These configurations are amazing man. I love these sounds, but your approach really lends to teaching people how to get in and play around with these things. I am looking forward to my FM order. Keep rocking.

    Super helpful vid showcasing the thought process behind utilizing the new FW 6.0 PB features in building a preset! I learned a few new tricks that should speed up my preset builds. Thanks Leon!

    I totally appreciate the way you explain what the signal is doing when you alter knobs or pedal order... I'm always fascinated by what's really going on inside these boxes.😂

    Jusy stsrted this video and grest tone as usual brother. Ive been wirjing hars teying to get arihnd on this right leg. Its been a bit of a bumner as I found out it may take uo to a year to heal to where I can walk unaided and I might have to have a total knee reolacment its been so messed uo alo g with the tibia break. So Ive not been online much. I cant even play well sitting because I csnt move that leg with the very painful knee becaise it twists snd dies t cooperate when moving. Hopefully just a few more weeks.

    I’ve been using the Mark IV and the 5153 Stealth Red too. Can’t tell which one I like better. Been leaning towards the “hairier” 5153 🎸🔥🤘

    Tuesday Tone Tip idea: How do we get around the lack of 'tap tempo' in Songs & Setlists? My drummer kicks off the click for the next song about a soon as I play the last chord of the current song so I barely have time to footswitch 'next song', change capo (if applicable), and mentally prepare for the intro riff of the next song in those 4 counts. I am not having enough time to tap in the tempo. I wish that it was programmable per song. (Maybe you could talk to Fractal for us to add this in. 😃) In the meantime, do you have any good workarounds for controlling tap tempo in songs & setlists where you could (with the latest FW) be gapless switching between presets for different parts of your song. I currently have 4 presets that I use for all the songs in our catalog. I don't want to do one preset per song. That seems annoying and wasteful taking up perfectly good preset slots that I could be using for Leon Todd presets!

    Bro, those presets are amazing, but I play only in mono. Do you have a tutorial for a good big forward lead tone?

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  4 місяці тому +1

      Scrap the pitch detune, set all the effect widths to zero and pump the mids more on the lead scene

    Hey Leon, are you using a Turbo or original? There doesn't seem to be a huge amount going on in your preset to be hovering around 77%. Just curious.

      The Plex and Multiband comp are pretty thirsty. You could swap the plex for one of the cloud reverb types and it'll bring CPU usage down since the verbs run on their own core.
