I'm using a Vidar 2 with a Sonic Frontiers all-tube preamp with rare Tesla red-tip 6922s, and the output is amazing, running 1996-vintage B&W Matrix 805s.

I do appreciate your reviews - in particular, your take on Schiit products. Recently Schiit
released the Aegir 2. I am very interested in how this amp sounds but there just isn't the
plethora of reviews out there as there was for the Aegir 1s. I'd love to hear your take on the
new Aegir 2. The amp is a curiosity for me because of the low damping factor. Now Schiit
claims that the "Halo" technology extends better control over the speaker. Perhaps I am
wrong but does Halo take the place of damping? Anyways, all that aside, I'd love for you
to review them ... you'd probably be doing Schiit a big favour. (and me!!!!!!)

I believe Schitt website says if you monoblock them they're not technically stable at 4 ohms but if you don't crank it to crazy volumes you will be OK.
