I saw BT live at BUZZ which was in Washington DC many years ago. It must have been between 2001 and 2005 or so. Def one of my biggest influences. I'm just learning stutter edit 2 now, loving it.
BT is incredible. I'm a long time fan. This plugin is a game changer. I purchased other multi-fx plugins with the goal of creating variations in my music but so far nothing compares to Stutter Edit 2. Thanks BT!
bt is my favourite musical mind of our time, I've been a huge fan for years... this plug in looks like it'll give the experience of having him as your co-producer! Mind blowing effects guys, I love the look of this.. I just hope I'm able to figure out how to use it! 😂
I love BT. Easily my favorite electronic producer. I might have to do some reading on this plugin to understand it a bit since I'm more of a guitar oriented musician. But I'm excited to check it out when I pick it up.
Fabfilter sounds better and uses less resources. However, Izotope did a great job with their latest updates and inter plugin communication. That puts them in another league.
BT is a living computer music legend. He’s got More plug-ins than God. I’ve got v.1 and I don’t use it enough. Will demo this and no doubt throw my money at it
It's cool to see so many stoked to see BT in this video. Ya'll know that BT learned C++, so that he could develop his own plugins? (before any other producers were doing it, mind). The first Stutter Edit was used on Somnombulist.
SE2 is a massive improvement over 1. In 1 it was a bit grueling to do your own work and I ended up using presets, but 2's workflow just makes it so much easier and more compelling to design it yourself. Love seeing BT's vision and excitement on it.
Man, this plugin is nuts, I've just spent an hour messing about with it, on the audio output of a single continuous note from my Novation Mininova, nothing else. Wow. I changed play mode to 'Auto' to have it act more as an effect on my track.
WOW! I really didn't expect to see one of my favorite Artists on a video like this... what a nice surprise!! I now know what plug-ins this guy used and have just bought 'Stutter' as part of iZotope's 'Community Bundle'! RESPECT!!!!
This is not so much a “getting started” as it is a “oh that’s cool”, then you spend hours trying to figure out how to get both a VST/AU like Serum or whatever and SE2 on the same midi track in Live.
There are a ton of us who have fiddled with this stuff for a decade, and will really start understanding the engineering / logic / physics of all this stuff over the next 5 years. Plus more intuitive AI stuff just around the corner.
I'd love to see a tutorial on a way to implement this plugin. I know there are many ways but just something that helps producers along, get ideas on the process. I assume you would want to burn stems of these effects and mix them in? About the amount of resources it uses, compared to something like Ozone, how much pressure does it put on your system?
Can't wait to see what you will do with Neutron 4, Ozone 10, RX8 and Nectar 4 the future looks amazing. You guys focus on mixing options for Orchestra and EDM
nobody ever talks about the routing for this. So basically you use it as a midi controlled effect on an instrument track and then in the side chain filter of the plugin you select whatever bus you want to effect? How do you route it to the master bus? You cant select master bus in the side chain. And what if i just wanted to use it on individual tracks? It seems kind of tedious to have a serrate midi controlled effect track for every track i want to effect.
You can group your instance of Stutter Edit 2 on your master bus which will make an instrument rack for it, then hop over to its "chain selector" and create a second "chain" that's dry, then blend it to taste :)
Yeah the plugin looks awesome but I wanna know how to do these tricks not just looking at BT's face. Other Izotope's tutorial videos form Plugin Boutique are not explaining enough too.
I have this plug in but can't use it. We need a tutorial on routing it in other DAWS. I am using Studio One. So, how would I route Stutter Edit 2 to my midi keyboard, as well as to any channel?
In live, you just make a midi track and route it to another track with Stutter Edit 2. External Instrument device can also help with routing in some cases.
If I understood it correctly, he used just the dry/wet knob on the Stutter Edit. Below someone answered to Zoran Milovic and gave a solution that I never have considered
Its simple, just load it up, then right click on it and create a group with it in, then expand group and then right click where it says drop audio fx here and create a chain, this new chain will be the dry chain, the other chain will be your stutter edit audio channel then you can adjust volume to change the dry wet.
Definitely a big step up from stutter edit 1, it's a good plugin not the best yet. On my opinion to be the best it needs automation. Please add automation to it.
I don't know of any automation sequencers that can also be modulated from the daw's automation lanes, that's not how it works. You gotta get something like Turnado for that instead.
this plugin needs its own educational course

I respect you so much, BT!
Great video! I spent an hour with Stutter Edit 2 so far and I haven't even glitched the surface.
Are you stutter about that?
2023, still the GOAT…also funny “stutter” is back on fiyah this year 🖤
More artists need your passion. Awesome demo. Thank you!
I love you BT! Thank you for this
Much respect to BT

@@djTorchLive In fact in equal oversampling I'm sure Izotope don't run that well compared to fabfilter or even plugin alliance (elysia

looking forward to use it. I loved stutter edit 1 and it looks like Stutter 2 eliminates all things I was missing in first edition. Really excited.
Awesome.
Thank you for making this video👍

Great work developing this update! Can't wait to try. Thank you. 🌟 🌞 🤙🏽 🖖🏽 ✌🏽 🙏🏽
thats cool how it has all these knobs and fx... but most people will be good with just using the presets, and tweaking them
Will always remember our interview.
2024! Long time fan of BT here from germany... thanks my dude! I've upgraded to SE2!
I love this plugin. M1 makes this absolute fire 🔥. My bass sounds beyond futuristic now, all triggered in real time mind blowing.
When do we get a new version of Break Tweaker, this thing is insane to program trap drums, hi hats rolls and other effects.
BT! His Virtual Friend remix is one of my favorite songs ever
Is there a way to make the length go to more than 2 bars?
Thank you for doing this BT this was really helpful

Very low cpu usage from my experience
BT should do more vids tutorials. Great tutor and salesman. He’s too busy making great music though. Nice to see him using Ableton Live.
Alright, I'm buying it.
This is so awesome! Love it.
Very cool. I'm excited to play with this.
Somnambulist would not be one of my favorite songs if it wasn't for those stutter edits lol
this looks pretty damn awesome
This is so powerful for only $99. Great work BT !! yep....s0Ld

your only likely to put it on one or two tracks…it’s pretty simple to deploy for the bang ‼️
Is it just me or is BT lookin extra kawaii in this video?

How to use it wet dry on master buss in ableton?

I have this plug in but can't use it. We need a tutorial on routing it in other DAWS. I am using Studio One. So, how would I route Stutter Edit 2 to my midi keyboard, as well as to any channel?
Did you end up figuring it out? I'm also on S1
I am in Fl 20, How do I keep piano keys from sounding when I strike a key.
Hi! I want to change the preset using a MIDI on my track, is that possible, not pressing keys live. In FL Studio or Live
Couldn't you just duplicate the track and swap presets? Other than that I'm sure if can be done, but through a complicated series of macro/scripting
In live, you just make a midi track and route it to another track with Stutter Edit 2. External Instrument device can also help with routing in some cases.
I'm convinced as fck
Who the heck disliked this???
They need to be hunted down and have their phones confiscated.
Steady on sunshine, I hope you never leave your house again
Mr Bt !!
Can one use this inside Cubase 5 ?
Picked it up for £29 on black friday 2024. Absolute bargain for a monster plug in.

Shoulda called it the BTizer
how do you actually delete your account?
Why do I have to play it as an instrument? Why can’t it simply be a plain VST that effects audio and midi tracks?
It can, all you need to do is change play mode from 'Midi' to 'Auto', and it will act as an effect on your track.
Thanks for the info. Did the first iteration have that option as well or was it midi only?
@@ghfjfghjasdfasdf I think it's a new option in 2.
