- Alumacraft designs the Bay 20 Coastal Edition for shallow-water fishing. She has a tunnel ahead of the propeller that helps reduce draft to just 11” (27.94 cm). Her all-welded aluminum hull can withstand the inevitable bumps up against a stump or a rock and she has all the equipment an angler needs to get on the water at a reasonable price.

This is a very sharp looking boat. Be great for shallow water and big water!
They're nice boats, One thing they need to do for these boats is to add some sort of a strap to hold the trolling motor stable while running in choppy water. I bought a 2072 SeaArk which is kinda the same boat, and after a few months It developed cracks in the aluminum where the trolling motor was mounted, and it's due to the fact that it bounces way too much, and way too hard. I had the cracks welded and installed a little velcro strap that held the head of the trolling motor from bouncing and never had that issue again.

@@YOURthornSIDE You're welcome. They may have done something by now to help that issue, but If I were you I'd still get a little strap to strap the head of the trolling motor down so it does bounce when you're in a little bit of choppy water because either way that bouncing can't be good for the boat or the trolling motor.

every video on Alumacraft you do points out the Alumatrac but, It is impossible to find these accessories anywhere. Just bought a 185 fsx and cant find accessories.
So I purchased this boat a month ago, what a mistake. Alumacraft is not the company it once was. since the buyout quality is non existent. I had issues from the time I bought the boat to its only 2 times in the water before my dealer took it back. Amazing dealership Art's Marine in N. Little Rock is. Highly recommend. The gauges fell out of console 20 miles down the road, along with all compartments filling up with water during a rain on the way home. Dual axle trailer without brakes is ridiculous. First trip out at idle mind you, it would only turn left if u 2 handed the wheel. 2nd day out I was able to get on plane during my break in period. Ran 5 minutes down the lake only to find water all around my feet. Bilge ran for 10 minutes, then every 3 minutes I would turn it back on to pump out 5 gallons or so. Wouldn't turn left still without excessive force. Went home to look at issues. Decided to raise transducer up a touch due to rooster tailing when on plane. Pulled out screws and it proceeded to drip for 6 hrs until I drilled out silicone and then it pissed out for a half hour covering my shop floor in water. Mind you the drain plug was out all the way home and in shop. Transducer was several inches higher, yet held water somewhere in the hull and transom. Probably should've drilled a hole on other side to drain it as well. Rod locker would not latch due to warped sides, and floor had a large soft spot that crinkled when stepped on, from lack of foam in floor I suspect. I'm now in a G3 Baay 20 and couldn't be happier other then I liked the layout of the Alumacraft and that's why I chose it. Stay away from Alumacraft, saw several other boats with issues at dealership. Very sad that a Boat Icon has died.
SeaDek has a life expectancy of 5-7 years. I wish these manufacturers would stop glueing this stuff on their boats.

Alumacrafts hulls are so slow.
The original aluma bay that they made for up until about 2003 was the fastest aluminum hull made
