It’s not a flat bottom. I own a 2022 and it’ll make a bit of noise if the conditions are just right but nothing like a flat bottom. Mostly never though. Great boat. Takes a severe beating and doesn’t even hiccup.
Break in don’t matter lol I have owned boats for 30+ years and ran them all right out of the box they way I will run them all the time. Never had any issues period! Usually 300-400 hour trade in.
This bracket is produced by Minnkota! MKA-51 Slide Bracket is the model name, I believe they retail for around $259.00 They will adapt to pretty much any trolling motor Minnkota produces!
I agree with you Paul, I have been able to move the water pressure gauge and the USB plug to the right of the multifunction tach. They both sit inbetween the Garmin 9" and the Multi tach and then making the hole bigger in the dash for the head unit in the same spot. To do this and not leave any extra holes, I would recommend ordering the head unit loose from the boat when the boat is ordered.
This boat has a range of around 180 miles using 18% fuel for stopping, going, trolling, etc. based off of Yamahas performance bulletin with the VF175! Thanks for reaching out!
I had the seats down so that I could walk you through the boxes easier. This customer had not taken delivery of his boat yet. Had you found any "rashing" on the seats I would be more than happy to replace them with new ones! I tell all of my customers that they are boats and that they are all hand built. Run the boat for 20 hours for your break - in period and if you find anything that is bothering you I will be happy to remedy! Thanks for reaching out!
I watched this video for one reason. How it would handle a little chop. Way to much slaping with a little chop. A nice looking boat but I am worried about the ride in 2 to 4 chop. That thing was slapping hard.
With all aluminum hulls you will get some slap. I will say, on this day the winds were 15+ mph with a good 2-3 ft. chop. I think the camera angle didn't do the water much justice. Another thing I have found is that Xpress likes to mount the engines higher than I would recommend from the factory, this being one of them. If you move the motor down on the jackplate, It will allow you to be able to get the bow up higher and let the boat ride on the pad a whole lot better. With the motor mounted on hole #3 the water will break infront of the console even with the trim up and jackplate all the way down. If you mount the engine on hole #1 (allowing you to get the full function on the jackplate anyways) this allows the water to break behind the console and the boat to get up on the pad. I believe this had a lot to do with the "slapping" comments. I believe Xpress is mounting the engines like this on the 6" Atlas jackplates so that the customer does not have a chance of damaging the hydraulic fittings on the top of the transom wall when trimming up while jackplate is all the way down. On Yamaha's PDI (Pre-Delivery-Inspection Sheet) to instate your warranty, we are required to bring the boat to top speed and record RPM data, what prop was used to achieve that speed, as well as what boat model, and all Yamaha's equipment on the boat. We ensure that we are at operating temperature before we do our 1 hole shot. I wouldn't say this was "hot-rodding" by any means. If there were something wrong with the engine straight from the factory (or the factory issued the wrong prop) and the dealer had not tested your boat, you would be the one to find this out after you had taken delivery of your new boat. I like to take the guess work out of everything and ensure my customers are receiving the product you had expected. Thanks for watching!
I have the same boat with the same motor. The manual clearly states a painstaking breaking process. I didn’t take mine those RPM’s until after that break in. I know my dealer didn’t do all that in the water. I wouldn’t have wanted them to. That’s just me
