- The Social Services and Other Legislation Amendment (More Support in the Safety Net) Bill 2024 is an inadequate response to the scale of the problem.
Money's found for big coal and gas, for property investors, for nuclear submarines, but there's not enough money being found for poverty.
There's not enough being done to address the need in the community.

Poverty of Health capacity was shown thru Covid years, where above the poverty line jobseeker payments, actually began to see a rebuilding of capacity beyond Poverty for many people and children, with reductions in crime related scavenging to make ends meet, and Chronic Illness acknowledged and supported, to assist those out of homelessness or overcrowding accommodation. Yet this ALP as LNP with 1Nation UAPalmer just SERVE the WEALTHY PEOPLE FIRST.
Well spoken Larissa. Upper and middle class welfare since Howard and Costello, have destroyed Egalitarian Australia. Self regulation and voluntary codes by multiple industries have allowed them abuse their obligations to the communities that support them. After the Banking Royal Commission nothing was done. After all the hours of public money spent on paying high ranking public servants to investigate and write reports all we go was the typical 'Lip Service' from Liberal and Labor. Now the Supermarkets, Insurance and Energy Retailers are gouging us into poverty. So much for competition bringing prices down. Its always been a Harvard School of Economics myth. Why are the taxpayers subsidising Coal, Gas and Iron Ore development if they don't pay their fair share to we the people?

It's only going to get worse. Growth growth growth and increasing competition in all areas is all they care about. Even the greens won't stand in the way of this.
