I actually felt like I was in endless eight when I had an alcohol dependency problem. Watching the endless eight pretty much was holding a mirror to what I was doing. I snapped out of it as a result. Never felt better. Every single time I see Kyon-kun denwa I get to remind myself to say "alcohol can go FUCK ITSELF".
They are and that's the scary part to me. That the day to day details changed but overall the pattern was the same, so you just *can't* be sure if you're trapped if you were in it.

KyoAni, the studio that made the Haruhi anime, trolled weebs everywhere by turning what was a page and half or so of story in the Haruhi light novels into eight full episodes. Each episode is identical in terms of story with only slight twists here and there. The artistry was elevated by KyoAni actually reanimating and rerecording audio for each episode, so they did change a bit between eps. But overall it was two months of the exact same episode over and over. The events of the show start when imouto there says "Kyon-kun, denwa." Tl;dr how to terrorize millenial weebs in one easy step.

Like nowdays we have the privilege of home release DVDs or binge watch thru streaming, but back then when it was still on going people at the time witness pretty much the same scenario over 2 months straight if they follow this weekly.
