I’m going to bet this is it. BCP was a little bit of a mixed bag but I have enjoyed it. It has caused me to engage with the game more than I would have otherwise over the last two years.

Just I can say: Honey Queen, Baby Wario, Hammer Bro, Paratroopa, some costumes (the Doctors, even Baby doctors, colours for the Toads, Hammer Bros, Koopas and Paratroopas, Fire Costumes for some characters and two or three 'metal' costumes for maybe with Luigi, Daisy and Rosalina), Dixie Kong is a maybe yet. In other conversations there are some points on adding Zelda and new characters from new MarioRPG and Wonder. We just need to wait.
For tracks Yes, for characters , Likely, for vehicle parts, not likely for items, HECK NO! The reason why i mention this is because of the of lack of DLC representive and the only sets that STILL dont have as DLC are vehicle parts and all the items not in the game YET.
Back in the glory day of video games there used to be something called hidden content. Nowadays they call it DLC but imagine if Nintendo snuck those final 4 courses hidden within the game like finishing first in all 96 courses on 200cc earns you a track or a marathon event where you have to run all 96 courses in one sitting earns you another track or doing tracks in a particular order earns you one or even finishing first without hitting or using any question boxes. That would be fun
That'd be stupid, diffirence is that the quality of games these days is so much better than most, if not all games you're talking about, you don't wanna miss out. What you're suggesting now would make a lot of people mad.
I'm content with what we got from the BCP. My only criticism is that if we compare the BCP graphics to base game, there is an obvious difference. Base game looks a lot better, and I will say that with each wave, the graphics have gotten better. But if we compare the graphics from Wave 6 to Wave 1, it doesn't look right. If they could update that, it would be one of the greatest DLC ever created.
The absence of Piranha Plant Pipeline is what's causing all the speculation without a doubt. I do have one little theory about all this. Next year is the 10th anniversary of the original Wii U version's launch, so if they wanted to, they could surprise us with an anniversary pass. It would probably be smaller than the Booster Course Pass though, like maybe just 8 new cups with 32 new courses for a grand total of 32 cups with 128 courses, four times as much compared to the game at launch, and all Mario Kart games since DS.
PPP started its life as the unreleased beta track DS Dokan Course. Then to get to Tour, it had to kill a new Donkey Kong track and a new Daisy track set in Sarasaland. Even in Tour Nintendo did warn the player that in rare cases could crash the game and players noticed the very janky half pipes. And when in the pipes DS Dokan only rotated the player kart but in Tour they only rotated the track. In 8DX they only rotate the track and keep the driver always centered. I guess they tried to fix these issues but could not do so in time so it was cut. But the much more powerful Switch 2 in a new base game will solve all the issues and PPP will be in the next Mario Kart game.

I mean this is a skeleton crew working on the dlc. It's not like the next Mario kart game hasn't been in development. And this team going back to the main team isn't going to speed up development that much. Not only that, it's expected to be on Switch 2 which hasn't been announced and probably won't come out till 1+ year from now. Mario kart 8 still makes Nintendo so much money and there's still so much money to be made. There's enough courses and characters to make a second booster course pass. And then the old leaks of Nintendo Kart instead of Mario kart. And even then if it's still Mario Kart I'm sure they'd love the revamp the whole game to the point where legacy tracks just don't fit the next installment. It'd be great for MK8D to be the one game that preserves all of Mario Kart before moving on (much like how Smash Ult was). Everything is Here!
Imagine if they did something like Mario Kart 8 TRULY DELUXE where it's just Mario Kart 8 with Wii U and Switch DLCs already included, more costumes for characters and more kart parts from tour, all the original characters from tour (Poochy, Monty Mole, etc.), and the last cup including Piranha Plant Pipeline, Toad's Factory, DS Airship Fortress, and a combination of Wuhu Loop and Maku Wuhu called Maku Wuhu Loop.....
There is a possibility however unlikely it could be that the rest of the non costume Tour characters with character DLC passes if they really wanted too. So I am glad someone else gets that there is potential in that happening.
Maybe a character pass? I’ve been hoping for Dixie Kong and Nabbit on top of Birdo Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, and Pauline. We got two thirds of the characters I wanted, but still hoping for the other two.
See, it *COULD* make sense that they’d want to bump that track count to 100. I just know at least someone at Nintendo is banging their head against a wall because of that number. Also, seeing as how this “final” wave is releasing in November, they could potentially (even tho extremely unlikely) drop the last four tracks in December. I think this is it. Especially since Wave 6 feels like a finale with Wii Rainbow Road being kind of a last hurrah, this game has been out for almost a decade. I think it's the perfect time to move on

If that's becomes a thing, how would the selection looks like? No one bothers making a concept of the selection if it's 100. All I can say is be grateful with the BCP and the final DLC. Imagine people wanting Lakeside Park but the skybox don't change because of baked lighting. Yea. This isn't possible because Wii U hardware is limited and the source code of this game was made for Wii U in mind. Y'all are crazy and need to rest.
People were also like this with Smash Ultimate. People really thought there would be a Fighters Pass 3, until Sakurai explicitly shot down that idea. This is one of the biggest caveats of supporting a game's development for too long. People won't be able to move on when it truly ends. Both Smash Ultimate and MK8 Ultimate are phenomenal video games, but even THOSE games have an end, and afterwards it'll be time to look forward to the future
I would love if they added all the missing content from past games unlike how smash bros ultimate was missing stuff however I really like Mario kart tour and want more content like single player and more modes etc. besides race tracks in Mario kart 8 deluxe but I’d be fine if they continue adding to the game or not I’d like if we got both more content and more Mario kart games or a smash bros Mario kart

This is a HUGE stretch but they say this is the last 8 courses from the Mario kart series so imagine another booster course pass smaller than this one but with new tracks based on animal crossing, Zelda and splatoon and then possibly adding 2 more characters which could be like Kirby and another Nintendo character and some more Mario characters to fill out the roster correctly
