Mario Kart 64 should not be so low. No, it hasn't aged the best, but it was the first MK to introduce 3D tracks, the music is perfect and the rubber banding on 150cc is (in my opinion) actually fun, because it challenges you, something Mario games don't do that often anymore

Both are great, but the problem of ALBW is that the game is just too easy. I'm far from be a pro gamer and I beat it first time in less than a week, while it took months to me to do the same with ALTTP when I was a child. OK, I play better now, but even so a game that's so easy is not so rewarding for the player and gets less memorable. That's the same problem I have with Wind Waker. The idea that you can do the dungeons in any order is great, but I think it backfires in the sense that there is no difficulty curve here so the hardest ones are the first ones, since you have less hearts and is still weaker. I think they've made this a little bit better in BOTW and TOTK, maybe this game have taught them some things to improve the system.

One big thing people either don't realize or refuse to acknowledge is how important ALBW is. I would argue that it is just as important to the current Zelda formula as ALttP was to the prior formula. It was the game that served to test the free exploration concept that became BotW, TotK, and the foreseeable future of the franchise. While I personally don't like the current direction of the franchise (no hate, I know they are objectively fantastic games. I also understand WHY things needed to change. The new games just aren't my thing.). Without ALBW, those games would not be what they are today and at the time it released, many reviewers had acknowledged how radical the game was voiced hope that it marked a shift in the franchise. Regardless, I dont think either one is necessarily better. They're both completely different games with different priorities and goals. While I understand the comparisons considering it uses the same map, same dungeons (but different layouts), very similar stories, etc. Heck, ALBW is technically a sequel to ALttP, if you go off their original Japanese titles. It's basically ALttP 2. Most people seem to have the biggest issue with ALBW's difficulty, and it is certainly an easier game. But a big part of that simply boils down to necessity. The open world, free to explore nature of the game mandated simpler dungeon design and a pretty stable difficulty spike across the game. At least, that's how they felt at the time. While ALttP was able to have a nice difficulty curve in enemies and dungeons because, for the most part, the game could anticipate what items you would have at any given time, a certain baseline competency in combat, and a likely bump in heart containers. It was just a tradeoff they were willing to make. Personally, I enjoy the overall experience of ALBW more. I like the open world, I find the exploration more fun, and I'm always being sidetracked on my way somewhere because something catches my attention. And 9/10, those distractions result in finding SOMETHING. I still do love ALttP and have zero issues going back to it, it's probably my favorite SNES game. Certainly top 3. As for the difficulty, in ALBW, the Hero Mode can add a TON of difficulty. While you do still get heart drops, unlike most Hero Modes, enemies also do 4x damage instead of the 2x in other Zelda titles. For a lot of the game, things can go sideways extremely fast when taking damage like that. Not unless you load up on heart containers, red potions and fairies, and blue mail. But at that point, you're actively working to make the game easier than it needs to be. You can easily go through the game having everything kill you in a hit or two if that's what you really want. Many people do 3 heart runs in other Zelda games too. Really, if we're all being honest, Zelda games in general are not very difficult games. Normal mode ALBW is easier than other sure, but they're all easy. I do agree with the opinion that the single item dungeons are too easy. There is no getting around that. It is fun bringing everything with you to every dungeon and finding ways to get through areas that were never intended though, and renting everything while never buying is another way to add difficulty and consequences to the game as well.

I just got my Nintendo Switch and I am so excited, I am a huge fan of the Zelda series and the first game I purchased was, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is so fun! I love how you can interact with pretty much everything in the game! The landscapes are beautiful and the game play is amazing. I will buy the rest of the series soon. I also have my eyes on Metroid Prime and Metroid :Dread, I absolutely love that series as well! I also want to check out Strays and get the Resident Evil collection, another childhood favorite! The only downside is not being able to adjust the action on the buttons on the joycons, some buttons have too man actions linked to them so it causes some minor issues during game play, I guess until you get used to the controller, but I will purchase the actual controller at some point.

people saying mk7 should be higher are forgetting that it sucks ❤️❤️ glider and under water sections are not that revolutionary and it’s over shadowed by mk8 and wii for a reason. definitely bottom 4

My party is composed with least ranked travellers😂 because I needed their day-night skills. Throné, Osvald, Temenos, and either (Ochette or Hikari). Osvald coerce information at day then Temenos at night. Throné rob at day then osvald at night. I really liked the fighting mechanism of octo but I wanted to focus more on the plot so I never changed my party. Tried changing my second job whenever I unlocked new ones but I just got used to Throné being inventor, Osvald - merchant, Temenos - Warrior, Ochette - merchant which i sticked with till late game. Never got the chance to utilize other special job such as armmaster cause the skills feels to much SP requirement. The conjurer and the arcanist, I never knew existed till after final boss so that's a pity. I would've tried those if I discovered it early in the game. I'm just a casual gamer but this game made me play for 100 hrs😅 (Btw omniscient eye is so hard post game boss)

Man, I dunno how people put up with that grind for apothecary ingredients. Way not my cup of tea. I thought it was hilarious how you said "Oswald is good for bosses, and Temenos is good for wave clearing". Man, that shit cracked me up. I think Oswald is supposed to be a middle ground of being able to clear mobs easily, and have decent damage output in boss battles. You using Advanced Magic when you're using his latent power, too right? I do like, 6k with it on most bosses, and I'm level 20-ish.

Zelda using the engine/assets from previous games isn't anything new. They did it with the Oracle games, Majora's Mask, Four Swords Adventures, and the DS titles.

Conspiracy Theory Time: The Legends subseries are secretly $60 tech demos that are being used by TPC to both gouge players' wallets and playtest planned features for new entries in the franchise. Legends: Arceus was semi-open world. The very next Pokémon game was a proper open world. Coincidence?! I THINK NOT!! Though admittedly for likely much more mundane reasons. With this line of thinking, I believe Legends: Z-A will focus heavily on detailed city designs and building interiors, something which Scarlet and Violet had a distinct lack of. Therefore, whenever the Gen X games finally get revealed, they will likely be utilizing the tech that was previewed in Legends: Z-A to make their city design much more intricate.

I know the trailer said that it all takes place in one city but I seem to recall the original legends arceus saying a similar thing in its first trailer too, I kind of doubt it will all take place in a single city, I think they just meant that it'll be the only city/village in the game like legends.

Having expectations because of Zelda games is ignoring that Nintendo does not own the Pokémon franchise, The Pokemon Co. does. And "PoCo" wont push quality on gamefreak. Neither will give them reasonable deadlines because is easy effortless money exploiting the nostalgia and Fomo fans that will keep buying the games no matter what.
