He has better english than most people who speak english as their primary language. Thank You Laura for introducing this wonderful man. I am hooked already
Being Danish myself, I think it is a sheer joy seeing Claus here representing Denmark and Scandinavia. He is super duper!! The tulips he is using look very much like Tulip White Liberstar, a very elegant and exclusive tulip 💗💗💗 Happy December from Denmark 💗💗💗
I really hope an English language publisher picks up his books, and publishes a translation. I love his aesthetic! And he seems like such a sweet person 💗 Very enjoyable video.
I can honestly say that I love watching Claus almost as much as Laura and Aaron. I have been following him on Instagram for a few months now and I think his creativity is as much appreciated as his cheerfulness and - dare I say? - his cuteness! A lovely video and I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks Laura! Your generosity in sharing other gardening creators is admirable. Long may you both continue to inspire and delight. 😊
OMGosh, what a treat he is!!! Loved the vase he designed, his clear instructions & his arrangements. I’m definitely going to make a fresh wreath this year.
Claus is joy to watch 😊. I totally agree with his advice, use natural material. I have lived in Scandinavia and I know how much they appreciate nature and products made with natural materials. Bravo Claus👏🇨🇦
What a BEAUTIFUL video - love the projects and makes me feel like I can do them too! Thank you, Claus - and thank you Garden Answer for introducing me to a new amazing gardener/decorator!
Hi Laura and Claus, how wonderful to meet Claus, he is so knowledgable and his voice is very soothing, I can feel all the tensions of the day melt away. Please Claus don't change anything, I understood you completely. Love the white decorations all throughout your greenhouse. No need for snow when you have a winter wonderland just outside your door. Rather be making bouquets than shoveling snow! Looking forward to more videos from you, Claus, thank you and blessings to you and your family.
My father-in-law was Danish and this video was like a trip down memory lane, listening to Claus speak! I'm definitely going to follow his videos because he is so creative and charming!
Fell in love with Claus's accent! I could watch and listen to him all day, lol! Thank you Laura for sharing, love his style and calming voice as he creates!
Wonderful! I'm half Danish and it is so rare to hear a person from Denmark speak even if it is perfect English, it is rare to hear the Danish language spoken. So now, I can now imagine how my Grandfather, who immigrated to USA at age 16 with his family to Nebraska, where he met my Danish grandmother visiting her sister in a nearby town, sounded. They had eleven children, many conceived at Christmas, my Dad the youngest boy, included! This is how beautifully he spoke English. I never met him since he passed away long before I was born. Claus is very special! Thx for sharing!
I had an old friend, may he Rest In Peace, who was Swedish. He and his wife always gifted green and white arrangements just like this! I never considered it was probably a Scandinavian thing! But they are inexplicably Scandinavian-looking 😂
I´m Swedish and I would say white is more of a Christmas color then red here 😅 Christmas in Sweden are very clean. Most of us use colors like green, grey and white. Maybe some red in small details. This is ofc different from person to person but I don´t know a single person that use red in their decoration. Maybe some in the older generation 😅
@@Dixiwonderlandyoutube Thanks for sharing this. I used to shop at a Swedish Christmas shop in the USA and bought many decorations that were just like you describe. I love it.
What an absolute sweetheart he is!! Made me miss my Danish grandfather and smile as I was watching. Thank you, Laura, for the introduction! 💓 The first arrangement was stunning! 😍
Gorgeous background, love the lights in the glass containers- they just sparkle. I see why you find inspiration with Claus, beautiful and simple. He REALLY should have his own YOU TUBE channel. Thank you Laura for sharing.
Thank you Laura for sharing. I enjoyed this and really appreciate Claus explaining the different weights, wires and pins for attaching the greens. Looking forward to learning more Scandinavian designs.
These holiday arrangements are so lovely. I love that vase. I don't think I've ever seen one with a flat rimmed top before. But it makes such perfect sense, now that I see it. It allows the head of the bouquet to rest without starting to bend and sag under it's own weight. What a fantastic design! 🤩
Oh my goodness! I adored everything about that guy and the video he made. It was so charming and festive. Claus, thanks for taking us away to your cozy greenhouse in Denmark. What a treat.!
Such a lovely and inspirational gentleman. His English was awesome and I was able to follow along very easily. Thank you Laura for expanding our gardening horizon! 🙏❤️
What an amazing surprise to see Claus Dalby on Garden Answer. I've loved his work for many years. I hope Laura and Claus will be able to make a video together in the future. 🌷
I love his garden and the ways he uses all the natural materials for decor.. very talented.. as Laura is as well!! His bulbs display... oh my!! I would love to have the space to do that!!
I loved the tutorial Claus!! I lived in Bavaria for over three years and always loved visiting the flower shops all over Europe and seeing the beautiful simple natural decorations!! Miss living in Europe.
He has such talent. And yes, I love to hear him speak. His books in English would be amazing! Thank you so very much Laura, for sharing him with us. I did not know about him, but will surely follow now. Thanks again, and God bless you! 👏🏻💕👏🏻
I loved this, thank you for expanding my knowledge through other channels. No one does this, Laura. It shows how your passion is more important to you than subscribers. X
I love accents, so this was a treat for me....he also looks like my late godfather , so an even bigger treat.....lovely designs and a new way to make wreaths.... now I can make tiny wreaths using all the left over bits that I can't use from my urns and the rest of my outdoor decor....thank you for this Laura
Your english is very good. Since my first language is french, i understand the effort you do while speaking a second language. You did very well. Beautiful bouquets and arrangements. Bravo and thanks for sharing it with all of us.
Thank you Laura for sharing! What a beautiful way to unite and grow this community., specially now that we can’t travel. Clause is amazing, his elegance and style really is captivating.
I love his display of pots during the spring and hope for a next collaboration in the Spring at the very least. We understood you and it was lovely to see the natural wreath. Thanks.
Beautiful! Thank you, Claus, for making the effort to do this in English. You are amazing! Thank you, Laura, for sharing this and introducing us to Claus.
Claus, thank you so much for sharing your ideas! You are so charming and talented, and I am definitely inspired. I understand you perfectly, and your accent is lovely. Laura & Aaron, you must have known we'd be delighted with Claus! Thank you so much for sharing!
I was very excited to see this and loved watching how you produce your bouquet and wreath. My maternal grandmother was Danish, born in America, but didn't speak English until age 12. I still have relatives in Copenhagen. Because of this I really enjoy learning about the customs and ideas that are Danish. You did a very good job speaking English and don't need to apologize. Thank you
Absolutely loved every minute of listening to Claus! His white Christmas designs are naturally beautiful & simple but also stunning & elegant. Thank you, Laura & Aaron for introducing me to this talented & charming man! 🤍🌲🌱🪴
I truly enjoyed this video. He is a sweetheart and his creations were beautiful. Can't wait to see more. Thank you and take care of yourself and baby girl. 🎄🎅🤶🧸🥁⛄
I´m Swedish and I have never heard of Claus Dalby until now 🙈 But wow he is amazing! I love that you don´t see other people in the garden community as competition. It´s really fun to to find new people that have the same love as you. I can only agree with him that that bouquet is so Scandinavian. I want it in my home 😍
I understood everything you said easily. Your English is wonderful. Yes, in America we find accents endearing. Your arrangements are beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
I would buy Claus Dalby’s books! Watched quite a few of his videos...couldn’t understand the language...but he looks like he has a wonderful talented family ( wish I could get the recipes his wife make in some of the videos ) and the music he plays in his videos is relaxing. Hope to get his books and videos in English!!! I can see why Laura was so enthusiastic about introducing him.....Thank you for sharing Laura!!!!
So enjoying the use of natural materials and thank you for saying NO PLASTIC, I have been out foraging and made ten natural wreaths on willow bases and they look fabulous. Thank you and I love your work Claus!
Love his work! He speaks English better than some Americans. Hope his books get translated, I would buy some. I also hope he does more UA-cam. Thanks for sharing his work with us.

Laura, YOU are inspirational too!! You are such a good teacher. You demonstrate and explain things really well. Just always a pleasure to watch! Always love your channel and have enjoyed watching it grow as well. I've been with you since your townhouse days. 🌞
I loved the vase and white tulips so pretty seeing the green and white together. 🤍the white poinsettias are lovely🤍 love your white Christmas and could understand you .Thanks Laura❤️
What a delightful video and insight to Scandinavian aesthetic. And I have the utmost respect for anyone who makes presentations and teaches in their non-native language. That reminds me to dig out my Rosetta Stone.
Pretty, thanks for sharing. I do the same, gathering flowers together in my hand rather than one at a time in the vase. I love his Christmas tree. For several years I searched for a tree with space between branches, instead of a full tree. Finally after my search I found the tree, very much like his only not as tall. Now I can place ornaments throughout the inside of the tree as well as the ends of the branches. The white poinsettia is nice and hard to find, they usually look a little on the yellow side or creamy. Thank you Laura.
Claus you are a delight. Your enunciation was spot on and your accent is endearing. Love the wreaths and floral arrangements. They are unique and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us here in America.
Aww he’s so sweet. Do not worry about your accent, Claus. It was enjoyable and loved watching you work and talk about your designs. Merry Christmas!! Thanks Laura! 💙
