I just wanted to let you and Shan know how much my kids, my wife and I love watching your show. My little girl is 4 and my boy is only 2.5, but both of them ask me all the time to play your show. They love the Beag and Duke too. They are always asking me, "Daddy! Did Cowboy Kent's show start yet?" It is our family's go-to, calm-down-for-bedtime show. Thank you so much and keep up the great work! Looking for to the next episode!!... And so are my kids! And God Bless the USA!
Hi Cowboy Kent! I just wanted you to know that here at my house everyone is addicted to your seasonings! Everytime we have friends over they ask us where to get it, so we let them know! We use it in everything! I even put it in my ramen and mac and cheese!! I made the best steak I ever had with that stuff. I dont know where you came up with the recipe, but dont change it! Its absolutely perfect! God Bless you Kent and Shannon! (And Duke and the Beag)
When my fire gets a little to high from the grease, I just pour a little beer in there or on the steaks! God bless you Kent and Shan and the pups! We love you all
Ribeye has always been my wife’s favorite steak. They looked very good. Here’s wishing you and Shannon and your family a very happy Turkey day. We are thankful for having you guys as part of our extended family. God Bless ya’ll
Kent thank you for this video. I made a 3.5lb sirloin using this method. We have a lot of oak here in FL so I used some of that and lump charcoal. I made a seasoning baste to paint on there. Wow it's one of my new favorite cooking methods. It only took about 20-25 minutes to smoke then about 3 minutes on the flames to sear and man was that great steak. Thank you for the tips. Amazing flavor. You are right about natural lump charcoal. People are missing out if they don't use that.
I purchased your first book and cooked from it with great success. What I like to see is the magic you bring to the outdoors demonstrating what true skill you bring to the skillet. Thanks!
That is superb sir, just perfect :) Not a professional but love cooking and been doing so for 30+ never thought to let steaks rest. You've proven your method Kent beyond any reasonable doubt, God Bless you and keep enjoying cooking in good health:)
What a video....lol. Today is my prep day before tomorrow's colonoscopy and I come across THIS video...I know what I'll be eating this time tomorrow. True inspiration Kent. 🤠
I started noticing that a week or two ago. Back in March, my Dad stopped shaving because he wasn't going anywhere due to lockdowns. To my knowledge, his face hasn't seen a razor since.
Reverse sear steak is unreal. Can't believe I only tried it recently, after so many years of trying to perfect steak-cooking, all that goes right out the window - forget it - reverse sear is where its at. Normal steak, Normal oven, then on the cast iron. Amazing.
Depends on the thickness. A frozen 1/2" steak on high heat will be rare/MR without burning if frozen then on the grill. A thick 1" steak does need to be tempered. People that give ultimatums about beef without objective definitions are stupid
Been watching your videos with hubby for some time now, but after watching this steak video with him this morning, I've decided it's high time I stop waiting for him to play them when I can watch them anytime myself. So at long last I am hitting that subscribe button for myself now. By the way, your food is always fantastic, but my absolute favorite part of all your videos is the after-tasting dancing! Love that cowboy version of cutting a rug! I also get a kick out of how you have the dogs trained to "wait... Wait....WAIT!" All the time they are waiting as you hold the juicy morsel up in their sight, you can see those tails just a-waggin' in anticipation. I get a chuckle out of that every single time.
I’ve never made the full 10 minute ‘let it rest’ rule; always come up with an excuse to eat it at 8. Good on you for using the Kerry Gold butter; greetings from Ireland!
I grilled a tomahawk steak using the method you showed in this video and it turned out great! My wife does not like real rare meat so i cooked it just a little longer than you suggested and let it rest and it was juicy and just pink inside. Thank you for the tip Kent.
I’ve always loved my dogs, but when a man gives them first bite of that steak it takes love to a higher power! LOL! Don’t think I could have done it! 🙈
As a new subscriber. I just wanna thank you for your wonderful attitude and outlook on things. It really helps in these hard times. Plus the food is so yum. God bless
I've been a long time subscriber and I have to say it really pleases my soul to see the following he's received over the years. Absolutely deserved by a great person.
I lived with a room mate who had a 9 year old beagle. I watched this dog push a kitchen chair so that he could jump up on the counter and eat the dinner we just made. I stopped him when he got to my plate... God bless you both and keep up the good work
Boy that Looks Fantastic 😋!!! I see you have some new whiskers.... & love your dancing in the dark 😊Much Love to all & a Happy Turkey Day !!! (Extra Love To the puppies 🐾💕)

I love this video reminded me of me and my fathers camping trips just the smell and the way the fire rolled on the steak the best feeling in the world.
I tried this with great success!! Thank you for making it so easy! I was intimidated and I didn’t want to mess up such a costly cut of meat. My husband loved it and I’ll definitely cook it again the same way, maybe have some friends over too!
If there was anything I could say, its prolly been said in the comment. But Mr. Rollins, GOD bless you and your family. From our part of TEXAS to yalls, yall some good people.
Hi from over the pond mr. Rollins When I was growing up as a kid in England my favourite cowboy was Clint Eastwood but you're in first place now my friend

Kent my good friend & Christian brother, great job in grilling my fave cut of steak, bone in ribeye, being from rural Kentucky & 57 but cooking since i was 9, we used cast iron for nearly everything & you know you can if kept properly seasoned. I have about 12 pieces of cast iron cookware so i have one that i can cook these big ol' steaks in. If any viewers/subs want to buy quality cast iron cookware at reasonable prices, go online to a company named " the lodge" i have several of their products & no complaints, top quality. God bless you, Shannon, viewers/subs, our vets & the pups( aka, quality controllers, lol).
Just ordered my Mama a Horseshoe Dutch Oven Trivet from your site Mr Rollins! She doesn't cook outside much, but she sure does love her ponies. God bless you n yours Sir!

So many people undercook their steaks. They don't appreciate allowing the flavors to develop as the meat cooks or they over cook it. Yours was just about right. Though I don't care for butter on steaks as for me it had always given me a weird aftertaste no matter where I had them. But those tomahawks look great .

The number one mess up folks make is trying to grill a cold steak.
Depends on the thickness. A frozen 1/2" steak on high heat will be rare/MR without burning if frozen then on the grill. A thick 1" steak does need to be tempered.
