Hey man, I'm looking to do the same thing but I've been told that the temps (800-1200F) can really begin to screw with the motors. Have you had issues with them?
Just put a Borla ATAK exhaust on my RT, trying to find a muffler shop that can install my electronic cutouts… other guys were too scared to even try & look to fit them on
Where did they tie in the hot line? I saw you guys messing around in the 12v port, but which wire did they splice? That's all I have left on my project.
@@viperroyal - the only thingy hat failed was the remote box we wired in . They shipped me a replacement but I just decided to hard wire in a toggle switch on the shifter panel in stead
The module that controls the remote to open and close went out few months after install . Then I hard wired in the toggle switch and never had any issues after that . That was my first hellcat charger since then have had 2 more after that one . On number 3 charger hellcat now 2022 wide body granite gray . Built custom took 4 months to receive but got a MSRP. No mark up just got in April of 2022
Are you in the southbay? And if you are what shop did you use to install your cutouts? I just order the ones u have but I don't kw where to take it to have then installed
No power gains , just so you can have your car loud then with a switch you can make it quiet again . Most people go straight pipe and is always super loud , cops might trouble them , this way it can be loud and quiet controlled by a switch beat of both worlds
Place by my house in Torrance ca . Bothwell automotive. But any exhaust shop should be able to install them just don’t know how good they will run wiring .
It was a while ago , but it was a $400, tool them a good part of the day as it was done correctly, clean , and professional. They normally don’t do after market installs that this but I know the owners so they did me a favor cause I trust them with my cars no one else
I can’t smell the E85 in the cab , I am catless now , it was even louder when opened , they do leak a little bit not enough to the untrained ear would even notice .
@@southbaykat9302 Ok thanks. I had leaky exhaust for two years in my 15 sierra until I had a custom system made two weeks ago. Thinking about getting cutouts installed.
Just a quick tip this is how you lose horsepower there’s no back pressure for the exhaust this will make your car go from a nice race car to sounding like someone stole your cats do not recommend doing but the cut outs past the resonators before the rear muffler it will sound much nicer and you will increase horsepower 🤙
Absolutely not correct at all. The scavenging effect would be applified with the shorter exhaust path and you would most definitely see an increase in HP and TQ.
That sounds so nice!! Did you have had any issues with leaking rattling ??

My next set up borla atak I just order my cutouts dmh low profile
How much of a low spot did this create? Assuming this is the new low spot underneath the car? Thank you
wow, they did a really clean job.

We spliced in the 12V port for power
@@southbaykat9302 that's what I thought. Has it been holding up pretty well? No pop fuses elsewhere?

Wont it cause a problem if you drive around with it open? The exit of the exhaust is under the car rather than expelling it out the back.

QTP electric cut outs part number 530011. $700 on line auto anything
Im curous why dont they make cutout where it reaches the end of the exhaust and not just mid
That would add too much unnecessary weight
