My favourite non-toxic plant is the spider plant and the Christmas cactus. I have several of them, no.. that's not true.. I have lots of them. The spider plants are very interesting for my two cat-boys, as they are indoor cats. Cats need some vegetation to help them digest the fur balls due to grooming so much. So, what I do to provide that is a constant supply of cat grass and the variety they love most is Cyprus Grass. Another plant I regularly seed for them is catnip. It works for me, they have stopped nibbling on the spider plants and as I certainly won't nibble on their plants, we seemed to have reached an understanding. But if I don't provide them with their plants, then they will give the spider plants a new hairstyle.
I really really appreciate people just talking and bringing up the idea that animals can be hurt by houseplants because i am a cat lady trying to bring plants into my home and i am struggling to find easy to care for plants that wont hurt my babies. We need to talk about which plants are safe and which plant are not safe for our animals. It is a conversation that needs to be opened and discussed with often.
We have fire ant s and as much as you hate them I have found that when my plants are infected with some form of bug that I just take the pot and put it on a fire ant hill and they within a day or two will have that plant completely debug soil and all then all you do is take your plant and hose the fire ants off make sure they're all gone and get new soil and you're done
I knew that by having many cats, I can't have quite a lot of popular houseplants like philodendron, anthuriums, zz plant, etc. But it's ok since the cats are very humorous sometimes and I love them so much 🤭
I'm typically not a cactus person but I bought a ric rac cactus and it's doing so well. I plan on buying another and/or propogating in the spring. I loved that yours was in the frame throughout most of the video 😍
Ummmm Taco Cat is adorable. I would love to have a cute kitty to snuggle up to my plants. I can see what the cat lady and the plant lady are often the same person. ❤️
Lol I have my marantas but one in LECa, and they don’t have brown tips😉☺️thanks for the tip on the spider plant! I currently propagating my African violets. We are definitely on opposite sides of this but I personally feel African violet leaves are underrated.🥰
Hi there! I'm a casting producer with Salt and Lime Media. Would love to speak with you about your plant videos and a campaign we are producing. My contact is in your "other's folder" in your Instagram account. Looking to speak with you soon. Thank you!
you just try to kill anything you dislike?? jesus christ. just dont leave food or trash around where the cats can get into it and they'll probably move on. they hang around humans for food and shelter mostly. if theyre still sticking around try installing a motion detector hooked up to a sprinkler. a few of sprays of water and they'll go elsewhere
What are your favorite pet safe plants? Also, isn't Taco Tuesday the cutest?!?
My favorite is a spider plant! I love grass
Xoxo
Hayley
I think I like the ric rac Cactus most. And Taco Tuesday sure is cute!

There is a *lot* of information about that online 😁 also any garden center or vet that you ask should definitely know which plants are toxic or not.

Yes! My ferns ❤ their self-watering pots. I am so jealous of your Maidenhair fern. I just haven't found that sweet spot for her.

Get plastic plants, baby.
