As a silent viewer for more then 2 years i want to say - thanks. Many thanks, Mark, for all you do. travelling the world with you is a wonderful and enriching experience ^_^
LOL that Korean kid was like, "If you can't hold a conversation with a foreigner you laugh it off like this and then you say what you know" Smart kid 😂😂
I don't know what your plans are as far as having kids and what not, but I always picture you guys with a child traveling with you, with a little backpack on and learning different cultures/trying different foods. Pretty cool 🙂
I never travelled with kids, but it's not as easy as it sounds. My cousin travelled here(Vancouver, BC) with her 9 month old son who weighs 25lbs and the hardest part is that she can't bring the stroller only a car seat, Carrier and enough Baby food and formula for two weeks. She had to buy a play pen and box of diapers that is only used for those two weeks! She wasn't able to go sightseeing since her son weighs a lot and no stroller. He only cries when he is tired and those two weeks here my cousin was grateful for any help since she lives in Texas and with only her husband and dog.
When they get more subscribers and starts earning more money, they will probably hire a cameraman. Ying might stay home if she needs to and bring the baby when its grown up a bit
actually san-nak-ji (=living octopus) is one of the hard core Korean sea food challenge for foreigners...and even some Korean cannot eat that😂😂 well done Mark, you are true expert. 👍
Thank you, Mark, for giving us people who want to try the delicious food from outside of the U.S. You allow my family to experience that extraordinary cuisine from my house! God bless you, sir! I love kimchi!
Thank you so much Mark, for your videos. I love your deep passion for food and eating. You have beautiful family too, I wish you well and more videos to be made.
haha those children didn't understand English totally. they just said "in this situation that we don't understand his language, just let's laugh with smile jaja
Great video Mark! I really enjoyed this video I saw a lot of things that I have never seen in another Korean tour and food videos. I like how you describe the taste of the food when you're eating it and the difference in flavors from familiar Foods so I can understand the differences. the chicken soup looks amazing. I look forward to more videos.
+BTS,APINK,BIGBANG, EunjixTaejyung You're correct. They're all born in Busan where I lived for 8 years while working in Korea. The other person is trolling you.
korea buddhist temple is really gorgeous place i know many temples in the world but korea buddhist temple is something different. no gold, no noise. just peace and silence in the mountain forest sometimes, rainy or misty day there is like a holy place more and more i had feeling same your experience many times in the korea temple
Great idea Mark to add the map and route. Adds more interest, and for some who have been to Korea it gives an idea of where one is at at. I love live octopus.
Mark, I was told by a korean friend that you are not supposed to eat the jujube bcoz its function is to absorb toxins in the soup. You are supposed to discard the jujube once the soup is cooked. I don't know if all koreans do that. Would love to hear from other koreans about this.
Not true if you watch his video a lot then you'll know when it's good or not by his face expression. there's this one video that he said the food was horrible
lol no. as someone had previously said, when he closes his eyes and tilts his head 15 degrees then you know it's good. when it's not that good, he'll just nod his head and say "hmmmmm". lol
sometimes I wonder why youtube even has a "thumbs down" button. I mean if you like it, you "like it" if not.. what purpose does the dislike button serve anyway?? LOL
goldktgal You watch those videos to see marc enjoy his food?? What? Everyone has his fetishes i guess. I watch them to discover food arround the world, because i cant do it by myself unfortunatly. Period. Which also means i would like a honest opinion, it would be way more interesting than a head tilt for a raw egg.
+KO well if you want a more critique of food around the world you might try Andrew Zimmern, Bizarre Foods or even more honest and sometimes aserbic Anthony Bourdain. I like all levels of Critique. Also a UA-cam couple called Eat Your Kimchi now called Eat Your Sushi since they just moved to Japan from Korea. Good luck. I love seeing food from around the world also and living vicariously through these adventurous people like Mark.
thx for the video! was expecting only day1-7 videos cuz u said u will stay in korea only for a week on 1st video of korea series. anyway so glad to see more of korea video!
that algae-looking seaweed is called wakame seaweed and it is commonly used in making japanese and korean salads. sometimes, this seaweed salad is topped with some sesame seeds and i really love its texture and crunchiness. silk textile industry is also huge in indochina including thailand and china. i remember you ate the grilled silk worms in the earlier video. please take note that all the korean temples ended with "-sa" are the buddhist temples. buddhism is one of the most commonly practiced religion in korea. you may want to join a temple stay programme in order to relax your mind and enjoy the healthy vegetarian dishes as well as to learn more on buddhism. the sea reclamation project reminds me on a racing track in yeognam which previously hosted the formula one race. it is situated in south jeolla province next to mokpo city. there are also several land reclamation projects from the sea in penang and singapore as well. the ginseng chicken dish stuffed with rice reminds me on my lunch in seoul during the 1st day of my 2006 korea trip. you can also try out the chinese version of the ginseng chicken served in noodles called "mi sua" alongside with other herbs and also the jujebe. if you want to enhance the chicken taste, dip the meat into a plate of soya sauce.
that made me sick that they are filling in that coastal area with man made land with industries, entertainment, and agricultural. do you know how much chemicals and pesticides are going to run off into that water just from the agriculture alone. not to mention all the other crap that will run off from the other sites.
They eat whole live octopus too. They're small ones though. Gotta be careful eating them though because if you don't chew correctly, the tentacles will get stuck in your throat and you can die from choking. People actually have 😕
+CrazyNLove youre talking about japan.. they wrap the octopus around the chopsticks and eat it whole... but you need to be careful because someone died eating it... you need to chew it... if you dont like it spit it out dont swallow it or else the octopus will stay on your throat
In Australia we used to keep silkworms as pets as kids.. You go to the pet store with a shoe box with holes poked on top, and they'd give you free silkworms. Next door there was a mulberry tree which they eat, so you'd get a pile of leaves to cover the box. I remember I never took very good care of mine, so they never grew big enough to survive the cacoon stage (mine would grow about as big as that one), but my friend would have really fat ones about twice that size and they'd grow into moths.

I wish I could express my enjoyment of food like that. My reaction to good food is to eat till I hate myself, and start researching gyms near me.
"Wow" > 4.5 / 5

I don't know what your plans are as far as having kids and what not, but I always picture you guys with a child traveling with you, with a little backpack on and learning different cultures/trying different foods. Pretty cool 🙂
I thought they already had a child? He once showed his phone in one of his videos and there was a picture of a cute baby as the background 😊
+Quntah888 oh thats not his child

jujubae in Korean is daechoo 대추.
I lived in Korea for a year back in 1998-99. I definitely miss it!

Great idea Mark to add the map and route. Adds more interest, and for some who have been to Korea it gives an idea of where one is at at. I love live octopus.
mark go to north korea and have breakfast with kim jong un
PHOTOZ HD 😂😂😂😂

Things that wriggle should'nt be eaten, but that chicken soup looked delicious
The kids at the Museum made this an even better than normal video!

MsShakey78 it’s the live Octopus for me.
I've never seen someone enjoy every single meal he ever had. He will literally tilt his head eating oxygen.
Don't be a spoiled sport. enjoying and telling us about the food is the point of his videos. If you don't get that then why are you watching?
goldktgal You watch those videos to see marc enjoy his food?? What? Everyone has his fetishes i guess. I watch them to discover food arround the world, because i cant do it by myself unfortunatly. what do these Swastika (Nazi symbols) mean on the map?
Budda temples... Has nothing to do with Nazi sign
Read about i it on Wikipedia. I also wondered about that sometime when I was in Japan but it has nothing to do with nazis he he
thanks for the quick info guys, it was so weird. I wonder...why did Nazis choose that symbol?
Brian Y. someone stole your lunch at work buddy?
+Brian Y. Calm down man.

Yeah, slimy _and_ chewy doesn't really do it for me.
Its dellisous
But in korea many peple cant it that
I'm glad you got to try the Sannakji Mark! It's one of my faves!

Bro live octopus wow I never thought people eat live octopus but the chicken soup was nice stay happy and blessed
They eat whole live octopus too. They're small ones though. Gotta be careful eating them though because if you don't chew correctly, the tentacles will get stuck in your throat and you can die from choking. People actually have 😕
+CrazyNLove wow very interesting
+MIMI ESQUIVEZ Hi What do you find interesting
***** not talking about the chopped ones. There are people that eat them whole. They are still alive.
+CrazyNLove youre talking about japan.. they wrap the octopus around the chopsticks and eat it whole... but you need to be careful because someone died eating it... you need to chew it... if you dont like it spit it out dont swallow it or else the octopus will stay on your throat
Ooooohhhh!!! That last soup was amazing!! I SO want to make that now!!! Mmmmmm...
