Yesss I love watching meal preps too! I think one day I’ll compile the meals into one video and the workouts into one video from the old vlogs. I love watching the old stuff too every now and then. It’s cool to see how hard I worked to look that way. Gives me motivation even now just watching my old self lol

Congrats on finishing orientation. You have ever nurse as a resource now if you need help. At least night shift is a little easier than day but it’s hard to contact doctors. Good luck! I would totally fall asleep lol. Get your caffeine ready.
Haha yes we have a security guard and another nurse that come around during the night with cafecito or however you say it. Strong but wakes you UPPPP lmao hits you hard 😂
@@ForeverYours0727 yes! Cuban coffee!! Lol Enjoy girl! Nursing is love hate but there are ALWAYS opportunities to make good money. Once you are in a year or so you can look at a float team and float to different units and make like $15 more an hour. If you’re doing icu you can do just icu float. I’m still considering whether or not to do APRN because you can make the same money as an RN and have no debt, but more stressful job.
Wait I am confused?? When you say "residency" I think of a medical student entering into their resident year.. are you meaning ending orientation onto a medical floor? Sorry I have been a nurse of almost 30 years with hospital and administrative experience and I am confused as to what this residency means. Are you meaning orientation as residency cause if they are taking the time on proper "orientation" then residency it is lol!!
Yeah the hospital I’m at calls it 12 weeks of residency on day shift and then 1 week of orientation “orienting to the night shift” to get acclimated
@ForeverYours0727 ok... that makes sense. You gotta watch those night supervisors though. They are freaks. (I love all nurses.. they are all freaks in different shifts) lmao. You got the suck ups on day shift... evening shifters are the ones that can't wait to get to the bar (and can't wake up earlier than noon) then you have your night freaks that can't stand the stress and physical strain that day shift brings ( I can't blame them) but loves the drama of night shift (but honestly this is where you find your wise nurses)... and never ever say "it's a quiet night" to an evening or midnight nurse cause that's a taboo.

Did you struggle with phlebotomy class at all? Is it true new students train on each other? That kind of freaks me out.
Yes they do.
A few students from my cohort did that and got in trouble because they posted practicing on social media lol 😂 I never did it while in school or clinicals. I waited till I had real patients. I got my FIRST two peripherals on the job the other day actually. In the SICU our patients come to us from OR with lines already so it’s rare when we have to start anything. But I had a patient ready for step down that already had all lines removed from being old or not needed. It’s our policy to have at least two usable lines per patient. So there was my chance haha and I got both on first try! He had good veins so that helped lol
Just eat some sliced apples when you feel like your going to die of hunger 😱💯
