They were built more like an old couch or piano. So in other words, good luck getting one of them anywhere without some help. As much as I may not enjoy a lot of modern tvs, especially smart ass ones that force Roku everywhere, I appreciate not needing a team of 7 people and a U-Haul to move it.
I remember back when I was a teen I had a "really cheap" thrift store record player... the arm on it was already broken, so I use some electrical tape and skinned a 3.5 headphone jack into the arm wires... it worked to funny enough 🤣 I was a broke kid, and I'm an 80's kid... we made what we wanted half the time because my Moms couldn't afford to buy it new for me and my BigBro... I love to see that your enjoying what you got, some folks can't afford it, let alone even dream of having it "what ever it may be" Sir, YOU You Reminded Me Of My Teenage Yrs and ALL the fun I had even though we didn't have much. ThankYou ! KeepItRollinHomi 😎👍
I think the reason why new games look good on crts is the hazy and foggy way they've been looking as of late. The overly colorful saturation too. Add some VHS or crt effects like and then they look pretty good. It's like they were made for old crts and LCDs. And knowing that games really haven't advanced in design since the Xbox 360 days starts to add up.
That Sharp TV is what a lot of us played Xbox and 360 on. From Halo to CoD4 and above.
Is it just me or do I think that the old TVs had a better look to the eye in terms of design?

I did this with an old school ctr tv for my switch and I absolutely love it. It makes me feel nostalgic 😊
