this is audio visual gold. thank you. these pics came out insane. Easily $50K for that jawn
This is a great example of investigating an idea. Nice work bud. I shoot a rz67 and 4x5.
A tool which will help you metering when you are fully trying to visualise is a light meter. It helped me massively.
Great work bud. I’ll have to try pick up some of those masks.
Honestly if you said you made that shot in camera I would have thought you were lying. Unreal how good it is
Also major props to you for being totally transparent with your process. Very refreshing
thanks for watching! posted the negative of the 120 shot on instagram too so you can see that it’s the real deal
I was literally just sitting here thinking about double exposure and you just uploaded this 19 mins ago mind-blowing
great minds think alike
@@linusandhiscamera spot on definitely thanks for sharing
that's what we all waited for
i know that's right!
holy crap that last one was insane idk how you do it but dont stop man
Watching your videos always makes me want to go out and experiment with my photography. Beautiful shots!
I love to hear it!
Love that image, has something that reminds me of David Lynch RIP. Great process too reminds me of the days I'd experiment with long exposures using a small bathroom as my studio and slowly getting to the results I wanted
Easily one of the best, if not the best video about film photography that i've ever seen ! Genius work right there 👏
Ahhh thank you!
Watched for double exposure, then learned a whole load about lighting and using projectors in lighting. Thanks. Always nice to learn more than expected!!
Your way of experimenting and making art with photography is so inspiring and motivating. I want to get into film and the frankinstax IS SO INSANELY GOOD.
Time to get a film camera! Thank you so much and thank you for being here!
The mask makes so much sense.
Love your vids man, thanks for taking us on the journey with you, rather than smugly lecturing like so many do. You rock.
Thanks for being here!
Linus that last image was so insane, your work is incredible. I would love to see you try some crazy triple or quadruple exposures!
Oh i'm on it
I just bought an rb67 and got an instant back for it. Can’t wait to try double exposure
Super running into you at the film store the other day! Thanks for another great video Linus. I gotta try this with my projector
been waiting for this!! great job again linus 🎉
thank you for being here!
Hello from Germany, love your channel Linus! Keep going!
Thank you for being here :)
Bro ive been waiting for some tutorials!! Phenomenal work - would love to try that on my RB67!!
This was such a cool bts of how you get down. I love the energy in your workflow! Can’t wait to get weird and intentional with an instax back and some masks!
phenomenal bro! you are the king of double exposers!
my dawg thank you!
My mind blown! Love this so much.
Thank you so much!
I could only think of the cover of CINEMA from The Marias, beautiful shots man! I just got a Mamiya RB67 Pro S today, can't wait to use it! :D
Huge fan of them and that album, I can't say it was the inspiration for this photo or the posing but since I've seen that album cover hundreds of times, it must have been unconsciously inspiring the posing of this image!
I am currently working on a book/fanzine project with Instax photos on my Mamiya RZ 67, and I didn't know about masks at all. I had thought about making some with cardboard, this is just mind-blowing.
That last shot is just brilliant 👏🏻🐐
I’m so glad you made this video. Loved how these ones came out, awesome stuff
got my rb67 like a couple month ago and im going to into college for a photography and this shoot right here gets me so excited and inpired to try double exposures in the studio in the college. great vid!
Dude, the phone photo through the viewfinder to check framing is honestly brilliant! Thank you for cooking, chef Linus 🤝
just keeping it practical!! do this all the time to remember what i shot
Wooow the final result is so good😵✨
Thank you!!
Loving your videos and images Linus. Thanks for sharing the day with us.
Those masks look clutch! My first double exposure attempts were developed by you during the Linusandhisfilmlab days.
You're chosen! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks man!
I know I have said this before but this right here is 🔥 🔥 🔥I need to try this on my RB

amazing work man didnt know this was even a thing very inspiring
Dope, as always! Would love to get one of those double exposure guides. Such a great idea!
I’m a new RB67 user and I’ve been shooting a lot of street photography and experimental studio work! The frankenstax back would be perfect! Love your videos dude! ✌🏽
thanks for sharing the secret sauce, so inspiring!
always and forever
amazing video Linus! I was totally engrossed in your thought process and the entire shoot.
I shoot with an RZ and I'm so keen to give some double exposures a try now!
You're chosennn! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks!
@@linusandhiscamera hey wow! Will do!!
This is wildly creative!
Great video! I didn't even know I needed a double exposure mask until now! 😂 This would definitely help with shooting double exposures 😂 send one my way bro 😀
I use the RB67! WOO
recently got an instant back for the RZ and would love to try out the masks! love the video and appreciate all the tips you share about your process
You're chosen! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks!
@@linusandhiscamera thank you so much! i will send you a message
I loved loved loved seeing
the rawness of you working!
So cool to see how you compose the double exposures! Would love to try out one of the masks on my RB67. Cheers from Denver Colorado!
RB user here as well! The last shot is just beautiful!
I just got my RB67 in March and I’m in loveeee I’ve always wanted to try a double exposure (on purpose lol)
I use the RB67 !!!! And I’d love to try the masks. I’ve done a few double exposures mostly my accident but when u do it right they can be so amazing
Great pics Linus. The instant back is great for this kind of work because it gives you quick feedback if you messed up the exposure. Certainly seems to have helped you plan for the medium format picture. Definitely need to find one of those for my Bronica.
This is crazy. Been wanting to try this out on my RB67, but very hesitatant. The mask seem like they'll help with composition. Pick me, I'd love to try this out finally.. Thanks for always putting out great informative videos and getting me out of my comfort zone..
Super cool vid! Love your work.
Cant wait to go and try some double exposure
Omg that was an insane result
Double exposures are game changers!
absolutely
This is the one we've always wanted and didn't know (or maybe we did). Gonna have to rewatch and really study this!
saw this on twitter & one of my friend told me that you have the tutorial uploaded here so i came here running.. great idea & even better execution 🫵🏽
thank you so much!!
Thank you man it looks amazing! I was inspired to make my own try on this, thanks for sharing king!
Hey Linus, I’ve been shooting an RB67 for some time now and I’ve been wanting to try some double exposures. Your video was very helpful and inspiring.
Really great video! Thank you so much for the inspiration! I’ve tried double exposures before but now I want to go book a local studio
i use the rb67 and would love to get better at double exposure! this video helped a lot!!!!
Linus always looks like he is having so much fun shooting!!! Love these videos! I would love to try some double exposures with the RB67! I can't say that I am the best at exposing film but this seems like so much fun! I use the OG RB67 tho and its a bit beat up but it works lol
Oh yeah I shoot an RZ and would love to try that mask for double exposures
I've been using the RB67 and would love to try out that mask! Picking up the Frankinstax soon too! I do street photography so I'm loving the idea of having instant shots to give to people to take home
Awesome. Would love to see that last photo printed postar size.
Such an inspiring video. Would love a Frankinstax mask for my RB67. Thanks for the opportunity!
Hey I've only shot a couple of accidental double exposures on my rb down here in New Zealand. Your shots were crazy good i had no idea they could be that good. I need one of those franks
Looking forwards to try that on my rb 67 as well! I used to draw lines on the groundglass for a similar Experiment because i didnt know about the masks😅
Now this is how you do double exposures.
nice video, one of the best i seen in the topic of double exposure, i feel so inspired to explore something similar now. in terms of my favorite image from this video i would say for me was just before you got the perfect rounded spot light behind her for me the less simmetrical and more organic had some magic to it but of course it's your search. congratulations and thank you for sharing the process.
so cool! wish he had a back for the hasselblad
Same 😂
RB user here! Would love to get my hands on a mask. This video just inspired me so much.
Really cool to watch your process. Great Vid
Linus to Linus: these are great. but let me cook.
how do you scan your instant film Linus ? you are doing a lot of these recently, could be fun to learn about ur process !
Epson V600! just put them right on the glass haha
Як завжди просто неймовірне відео!
Thank you!
This was amazing....... oh my god
thank you charlotte!!
thats a banger shot!
Hey, I also love shooting my Instax on an RB67! Never do a shoot without it. Would love to try the masks!
I just got an RB67 a month ago! Would love to have a helpful guideline to make double exposures easier😌
Its worth noting shooting an eos slr that it will let you take x exposures but you are responsible for the adjustment of your settings, so use P and set to the equivalent level of underexposure or use manual and make sure to underexpose a stop for 2, 1.5 stops for 3, and 2 stops for 4 exposures
This was super rad. I shoot with an rz but ill probably buy a mask anyway because ive only ever done rough, guesswork double exposures. Thanks for showing the workflow
I have an RB and shoot double exposures, would love to try the mask :)
I really liked the test shots
I have an rb67
literally my dream camera
just picked it up today
I got for my love of double exposure
So cool!
Excited to giveaway some Double Exposure Masks and T-shirts! Thanks Linus!!
Thanks Sam!
I’m an RB67 user and it would be dope to have the double exposure masks
I don't have a RB or RZ but a 500cm saved from the trash and a HVSQ instax mag
Thanks for the video, such an excellent way to explain multi exp!
A mask tutorial would be great
I would love to try some of those mask … trying to make some self portrait with double exposure
I shoot double exposures on the RB67 & could def use a madk
RB67 user and would love a mask
You're chosen! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks!
Is there an order to follow when shooting double exposure, such as shooting the dark scene or the bright scene first? Or does it not matter as long as the composition is right?
i meter these normally! imagine either one of the exposures by itself. the white circle, and then the orange portrait. both of them never share the same space on the negative. that way, you’re just filling in negative space instead of trying to figure out the math of halving each exposure to compensate for the overlap, if that makes sense. i just shoot my double exposures with no overlap and line it up so every exposure has its own negative space!
@@linusandhiscamera Oh really appreciate you for the kind and detailed explain. I totally understand. 1. meter as single shot, and 2. try to use unexposed area of each shot. Right?
I use the Mamiya RB67 and I would definitely love to try double exposure using the double exposure mask
I have just got the Mint TL70 plus and am looking forward to shooting street portraits with it. Wonder if your mask will work with it?
definitely a different size, but that thing is sick
Nice work. How did the 120 film photos come out? Would have loved to see the whole roll of those photos not just the instax unless you showed those as well.
I actually only ended up shooting that single frame at the end on 120. I wish I did with the other shots, but I was too focused on getting the instax right and then jumping into the final concept tbh
I own an RB67 and would love to rip some double exposures. Linus is also so handsome.
now THAT's how you comment
You're chosen! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks!
What kind of projector do you use?
I have an RB and double exposure seems fun to try.
You're chosen! DM me on Instagram to get some RB67 masks!
@@linusandhiscamera I dm’ed you
Hey Linus! You've inpired me to try these techniques out over the weekend. One question - do you know if an instax back exists for the Mamiya 645 pro? Thank you and keep up the exceptional work!
It doesn't look like anyone sells one outside of 3D printable files, which isn't something I know how to do personally haha
@@linusandhiscamera darn! neither do i.
A really nice way to compose those shots would also be using a transparent sheet and drawing on it.
Yo, I would to try this on my rb67
obviously the multiple exposures and rest of the video were genius. but creating lights in photoshop and using a projector?! that is brilliant, I would've never thought to do that 😂
im getting into this. so dope!!
